Colts' probables primed to face Houston

(12/14/2014) All the Colts who were probable on the injury report are active for the game against Houston. The list includes safeties Mike Adams (back), Sergio Brown (illness) and LaRon Landry (illness), cornerbacks Vontae Davis (concussion) and Darius Butler (illness), linebacker D'Qwell Jackson (ribs), offensive tackle Xavier Nixon (foot), and linebackers Erik Walden (knee) and Andy Studebaker (hamstring).

(11/10/2014) Despite returning from suspension, Colts safety LaRon Landry will not be handed a starting role.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano told reporters Monday Landry will play in Week 11 against New England, but safety Sergio Brown will remain the starter.

Landry was the starting safety for the Colts until he was suspended for four games after violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances.

Brown participated in 14 games last season, but contributed to just nine tackles.

Deemed questionable are free safety Sergio Brown (shoulder) offensive lineman Khaled Holmes (ankle) and outside linebacker Erik Walden (ankle). Center Jonotthan Harrison (hand) is the only probable listed with an injury. Veteran wideout Reggie Wayne, safety LaRon Landry and center Gosder Cherilus have merely been given a rest.

(1/4/2014) Though the Colts entered the Wild Card game against the Chiefs with an extensive list of injured players on the defensive side of the ball, all but one was able to play Saturday. Among the 10 players listed on the injury report, only defensive lineman Fili Moala (knee) was unable to play.

The list of Colts defenders able to play through injuries reads as follows: defensive backs Sergio Brown (groin), Darius Butler (quadriceps), Vontae Davis (groin) and Greg Toler (groin); linebackers Bjoern Werner (ankle) and Robert Mathis (not injury related); and defensive linemen Cory Redding (shoulder), Ricky Jean Francois (foot) and Aubrayo Franklin (knee). 


Ten Colts probable for playoff game

(1/3/2014) The Colts have listed 10 players as probable for the playoff clash Saturday against Kansas City. All have been full practice participants throughout the week aside from wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, who was limited with a hamstring pull on Wednesday. The only other offensive probable is lineman Mike McGlynn (elbow).

The defensive probables are defensive backs Sergio Brown (groin), Darius Butler (quad), Vontae Davis (groin) and Greg Toler (groin), linemen Ricky Jean Francois (foot) and Cory Redding (shoulder) and linebackers Bjoern Werner (ankle) and Robert Mathis (rest).

Brown has been dealing with a groin injury. He's missed the past two games due to the issue. Brown's return bodes well for him playing in the team's playoff game this week.

(12/21/2013) The Colts ruled out six injured players for Week 16 against the Chiefs Saturday, after initially listing them all as either doubtful or questionable on Friday's injury report.

Of those six, three are on the offensive line, as Jeffrey Linkenbach (quad), Joe Reitz (concussion) and Hugh Thornton (neck) were ruled out. The remainder come from the defensive side of the ball, as defensive linemen Montori Hughes (knee) and Ricky Jean Francois (foot), along with defensive back Sergio Brown (groin) were all ruled out as well.

(11/29/2013) The Colts are in fine shape everywhere but in the secondary heading into their game Sunday against Tennessee. Three defensive backs are among the six players on their injury report, including cornerback Greg Toler, who has been ruled out with a groin problem. Safety Sergio Brown (hand) is questionable while cornerback Vontae Davis (groin) is probable.

Also out is linebacker Kavell Conner (ankle). Fullback Stanley Havili (concussion) and wideout T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) are probable.
