by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/20/2013) Tight end Garrett Graham and wideout DeVier Posey led a group of Texans that made small contributions to the effort Sunday in Kansas City. Graham caught three passes for 38 yards while Posey added a 42-yard reception.

Also on the stat sheet were Lestar Jean, who added 21 yards through the air, and Greg B. Jones, who rushed twice for two yards.

(9/22/2013) The Texans inactive list for Week 3 featured no surprises Sunday. The list is: offensive linemen Duane Brown and Cody White; wide receiver Lestar Jean; quarterback Case Keenum; defensive end Tim Jamison; and linebackers Justin Tuggle and Sam Montgomery.

Lestar Jean scores again for Texans

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(8/18/2013) Texans wide receiver Lestar Jean found the end zone during Saturday's preseason win over the Dolphins. Jean hauled in a 38-yard touchdown pass form Case Keenum in the second quarter.

The TD made the score 14-7 Houston at the time in the 24-17 win. Jean led the way for the Texans with a team-high 57 receiving yards. He made just two grabs on three targets. Jean has eight catches in two preseason games for 109 yards and two touchdowns.

Having a solid preseason, Jean is likely to begin the year as the No. 3 option for Matt Schaub and the passing game for Houston. He caught six passes for 151 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season last year with Houston.

Lestar Jean gets plenty of work in preseason opener

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(8/10/2013) Texans wide receiver Lestar Jean did not work exclusively with the first-team offense Friday in the first preseason game, but he still managed to show off his skills.

Jean, who did start the game, ended up being the main focal point of the offense, as he played much of the game. Jean was targeted nine times, bringing in six passes for 52 yards and a score.

Jean is likely to enter the season as the team's third receiver, after the drafting of DeAndre Hopkins.

Hopkins impacts Texans WRs

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/26/2013) The Houston Texans selected Clemson receiver DeAndre Hopkins with the 27th overall pick in the NFL draft, likely signaling a shift in the team's depth chart. Considered a complete, NFL-ready receiver, the feeling is Hopkins will leap-frog the likes of Lestar Jean, Devier Posey and Keshawn Martin and start right away. Last year Texans receivers not named Andre Johnson totaled 63 catches for 841 yards (13.3 avg.) and four touchdowns. In three seasons with Clemson the 6-foot-1, 214-pound Hopkins caught 206 passes for 3,020 yards (14.6 avg.) and 27 touchdowns including 18 in 13 games last season.

Jean has chance to start

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(3/19/2013) Texans coach Gary Kubiak said in an interview with CBSSports.com on Tuesday at the NFL owners meeting in Phoenix that Keshawn Martin and Lestar Jean will compete for the starting job opposite Andre Johnson this year. "Keshawn Martin is very important to us going into this offseason. Lestar Jean is very important to us going into this offseason. We’ll see how that pans out," Kubiak said. "We have a long way to go. Those two guys will be called upon to do some things very quickly. ... It’s a competition. We have one starter in Andre, and after that we’re wide open. That’s what the offseason is for. These guys have enough experience now. They’re not young anymore. We’ll see how they react when they come back."
