News: Titans wide receiver Damian Williams, who has been just a peripheral option in the passing game all season, actually led the team with three receptions (on five targets) Week 16 at Green Bay. Of course, he had only 39 yards. He has yet to put up 50 yards in a game this season.
Analysis: Titans quarterback Jake Locker completed only 13 passes in this one, which is what made three the leading number of receptions. Really, anyone could have come away with that many. Just because Williams happened to be the leading man doesn't mean his role has changed. He still belongs on waivers in Fantasy.
News: Titans wide receiver Damian Williams left Sunday's game against the Titans late in the second quarter after chasing an incomplete pass and colliding with a security guard out of bounds. Williams appeared to be clutching his hamstring on the sideline before being taken to the locker room. He did not return.
Analysis: Williams had two catches for 24 yards when he left. While he hasn't been one of Jake Locker's top options this season, Williams has been solid as of late, with 77 total yards over his previous two games. He has minimal Fantasy value.
News: Titans wide receiver Damian Williams was held in check for the most part during the Week 12 loss at Jacksonville Sunday. Williams caught just two passes for 46 yards in the game. He was targeted four times by quarterback Jake Locker.
Analysis: Williams has been a consistent receiving option for the quarterback Locker in the passing game this season. Unfortunately for his Fantasy value, he's been consistently mediocre for the Titans. Williams hasn't recorded more than four catches in a game since Week 2 of the season and has low-end value for Week 13 against the Texans.
News: Titans wide receiver Damian Williams caught two passes for 10 yards in Sunday's 51-20 loss to the Bears. He was targeted three times.
Analysis: The good news here is that Williams didn't fumble, something that four of his teammates cannot say. However, Williams is the fourth or fifth option in the passing game right now, making him waiver wire material in most formats.
News: Titans wide receiver Damian Williams again played a minimal role in the passing game Week 3 against the Lions, catching two passes for 20 yards. He was targeted three times. He had no fewer than four catches in either of the team's first two games.
Analysis: If this is the best Williams can do when quarterback Jake Locker throws for a career-high 378 yards, he's in trouble. Then again, it's not too surprising considering he's behind Kenny Britt, Nate Washington and Kendall Wright on the depth chart. If anything, his production in the first two games should have been the surprise. You can ignore Williams in Fantasy.
News: Titans wide receiver Damian Williams finished with a team-high four receptions in Week 2 against the Chargers. Williams racked up 45 yards on his four catches and was targeted six times in the 38-10 defeat, which was tied for second most on the team with Jared Cook.
Analysis: With Kenny Britt and Nate Washington once again limited due to injures, Williams saw much more playing time than he normally would have. He will likely head right back to the land of Fantasy irrelevance once both are back up to speed, so Fantasy owners should keep an eye on Tennessee's injury report this week. As long as Britt and Washington both end up playing, Williams should be left on the bench in most formats heading into Week 3 against the Lions.
News: Titans receiver Damian Williams had five catches for 33 yards on Sunday in Week 1 against the Patriots. Williams had an increased opportunity against New England with Kenny Britt (suspended) out.
Analysis: Williams has minimal Fantasy value in the majority of leagues. He should not be used in most formats in Week 2 at San Diego since Britt should return. There is a chance Nate Washington (leg contusion) could be out after he was injured against the Patriots, but we still don't trust Williams in most formats.
News: Titans wide receiver Damian Williams, who did a good job filling in for Kenny Britt last season, might be in that exact role in 2012 -- a backup. Williams caught 45 passes for 592 yards (13.2 avg.) and five touchdowns last year, seeing a lot of time with Britt injured. But not only is Britt coming back healthy for training camp, but the Titans added rookie receiver Kendall Wright with their top pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Analysis: Though Williams is talented, he might have to spend some time languishing on the bench. That's never a good thing for Fantasy. So long as he's behind the likes of Britt and Nate Washington, Williams won't be worth owning outside of dynasty leagues.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams left Week 17's game at the Texans with a rib injury. Coach Mike Munchak told reporters that Williams would be re-evaluated on Monday. Williams made two catches for 21 yards before leaving the game.
Analysis: With the Titans missing the playoffs, Williams' season would be over anyway. He had some productive games this season, but he is likely to go undrafted in the majority of leagues next fall.
News: Tennessee WR Damian Williams had a career-high eight receptions for 83 yards during the Titans' 23-17 victory over Jacksonville in Week 16. Williams' yardage total was also his second-highest output of the season as he posted an average of 10.4 yards per catch. He had 107 receiving yards during Week 10 at Carolina. However, Williams has kept out of the end zone for the fourth consecutive game, his longest stretch of the year.
Analysis: Williams has emerged as a solid receiving option opposite WR Nate Washington during his second NFL season. He received an opportunity to shine when WR Kenny Britt went down with an injury and now has 43 catches and 571 yards on the season. His scoring decrease in a little bit of a concern, but he could see additional looks with the Titans' running backs banged up. Consider him a low-end option for Week 17 at Houston.
News: Tennessee WR Damian Williams and the rest of the Titans receiving corps will face an entirely different Jacksonville secondary during the teams' matchup in Week 16 on Saturday. The Jaguars secondary has been decimated by injuries since the team's first meeting in the season opener -- a 16-14 loss by Tennessee. It's almost a new learning curve, whereas when you play other teams you know what you'll get," said Williams, who had just one reception for five yards during the contest in Week 1.
Analysis: Williams finished with one catch in each of his first three games of the season, but has dramatically improved since his breakout performance in Week 4 (six catches for 66 yards). The 23-year-old has taken over targets for injured WR Kenny Britt and now has 35 receptions for 488 yards and five touchdowns. However, he is in the midst of a three-game scoreless drought. Jacksonville is allowing an average of 17.2 Fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season. Consider Williams a low-end Fantasy option in deeper formats for Week 16.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams was held to two catches for 15 yards in Week 15 against the Colts. He was targeted six times in the game.
Analysis: Williams has two or fewer catches in three of his last five games. He doesn't have a touchdown in three straight games and teams are finally finding out ways to minimize his impact. It hasn't helped his case either that QB Matt Hasselbeck has been hurting the last few weeks. Williams is at best a No. 4 Fantasy WR for Week 16 against the Jaguars.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams heads into Week 15 against the Colts averaging 20.7 yards per catch in his last two games. The Colts are allowing WRs to average 13.9 yards per catch and 162.8 receiving yards per game. WRs also average 23.4 Fantasy points per week against the Colts, which is the seventh-highest average in the NFL.
Analysis: While Williams has a nice yards per catch average as of late, he has just six catches and no touchdowns in his last two games. Williams has definitely been a constant in the passing game since Kenny Britt got hurt earlier this season, but he has just been all over the place with his play. For that, Williams remains a No. 4 Fantasy WR for Week 15. Tennessee is also likely to use the ground game to pace the offense.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams had a quiet game Sunday against New Orleans with two catches for 62 yards. Williams had 10 targets in the game. He was outplayed by Nate Washington, who played despite being limited all week with an ankle issue and finished with six catches for 130 yards and a touchdown. And it didn't help Williams that Matt Hasselbeck (calf) left the game in the second quarter and was replaced by rookie Jake Locker.
Analysis: Washington being active hurt the sleeper appeal for Williams in this matchup, and Locker has more of a rapport with Washington. This is now the second time this season where Locker has replaced Hasselbeck (Week 11 at Atlanta), and Williams struggled. We'll find out who the starting QB will be in Week 15 at Indianapolis, but Williams will be considered just a No. 3 Fantasy WR. Williams had four catches for 60 yards against the Colts in Week 8.
News: Titans WR Nate Washington (ankle) is questionable for Sunday in Week 14 against the Saints and will likely be out, which should allow Damian Williams to have a big game with increased targets. Williams has three touchdowns in his past five games, and he has 36 targets over that span. The Saints have allowed 11 touchdowns to opposing receivers and eight have reached double digits in Fantasy points.
Analysis: Williams could be heavily involved if the Titans, as expected, are trying to score in a comeback effort. He is a solid No. 3 Fantasy receiver this week with the chance to be a No. 2 option in deeper leagues.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams finished with a team-high 62 receiving yards in a Week 13 win at Buffalo. Williams had a chance at his sixth touchdown of the season on the opening drive, but QB Matt Hasselbeck just overthrew him on a 30-yard touchdown down the left sideline. Williams finished with four catches on a team-high seven targets.
Analysis: It's becoming quite clear that Hasselbeck likes to look Williams way when the team is near the end zone. Williams came into the game with three touchdowns in his last four outings. He could have had an even better game Week 13, but he had a couple of missed opportunities. Consider Williams at best a low-end No. 3 Fantasy WR or flex option for Week 14 vs. New Orleans.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams heads into Week 13 at Buffalo coming off a very productive November, which saw him score in three of four games. The Bills are yielding 22.2 Fantasy points per week to WRs, which is 10th-highest in the NFL. WRs have also totaled seven touchdowns in the last four games against Buffalo.
Analysis: Williams is not a guy that always has monster performances. In fact, he has just 49 receiving yards in his last two games since having his first 100-yard performance. But QB Matt Hasselbeck likes to look for Williams down in the red zone, which keeps him Fantasy relevant. Consider Williams a No. 4 Fantasy WR for Week 13.
News: Though WR Damian Williams had his lowest number of targets in five games, he played an important role in the Titans' 23-17 win over the Buccaneers in Week 12. Williams scored Tennessee's only touchdown on offense, reaching the end zone on a 2-yard pass play in the fourth quarter. The touchdown was Williams' third in the last four games. He finished with three catches for 33 yards on a total of four targets.
Analysis: Williams was not as integral a part of the Titans' offense as he has been in recent weeks, but even when he has been thrown to more often, he has not always produced big numbers. More important, Williams sees his fair share of targets within the red zone, so he is a threat to score in any given week. That makes him a viable option as a No. 3 Fantasy WR or flex option.
News:Damian Williams was targeted a total of 11 times in Week 11 against the Falcons, but he came away with only one reception, worsening an already subpar reception per target rate. While Williams has turned only 44 percent of his targets into catches, he will face a Buccaneers' pass defense that has allowed 62 percent of all passes to become receptions. In terms of per-game passing yardage, the Bucs rank 29th in the league.
Analysis: Williams is only two weeks removed from gaining 107 yards on five catches against the Panthers, another team that allows a high completion percentage. While he should rebound from last week's poor performance, Williams is hardly a lock to contribute in Fantasy, due to his ongoing difficulties with converting targets into catches. Consider him as a No. 3 Fantasy WR or flex option going into Week 12.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams was unable to extend his touchdown streak to three games in Week 11 against the Falcons. He was held to just one catch for 16 yards in the 23-17 loss. He was targeted a team-high 11 times in the contest.
Analysis: Williams saw a ton of passes thrown his way on Sunday but was held to just one catch for the fifth time this season. Fantasy owners have to be disappointed with his most-recent performance but 23-year-old has shown that he can go off at any point. Keep an eye on his progress going forward and consider Williams as more of a low-end Fantasy WR for Week 12 against the Buccaneers.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams has caught at least one touchdown pass in each of his last three games and will be looking to extend that streak in Week 11 against the Falcons. Atlanta enters Sunday ranked 23rd in the league in pass defense, giving up nearly 254 yards per contest, and have allowed an average of 22 Fantasy points to opposing wideouts.
Analysis: Williams has four touchdowns during his streak and has stepped up nicely ever since Kenny Britt went down with his season-ending injury. He appears to be developing a nice rapport with QB Matt Hasselbeck and is coming off the first 100-yard performance of his career. He should only continue to grow at age 23 so heading into Week 11, consider Williams as a No. 3 Fantasy WR.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams recorded the first 100-yard game of his career in Sundays win against the Panthers. Williams has four TDs in his last six games. Every week youre seeing a guy get better, coach Mike Munchak said Monday. Hes making tough catches. When you see guys doing that, the QB has more confidence to make the tough throw to him.
Analysis: Williams continues to thrive in the absence of Kenny Britt and is becoming one of Matt Hasselbeck's most-reliable targets. Perhaps Sunday's 100-yard performance is the start of more good things to come from Williams. However, this game probably moves him up on the scouting report, so now we have to see how he responds to more defensive coverage. Consider him a low-end No. 3 Fantasy WR or flex option for Week 11 at Atlanta.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams had a career day Week 10 at Carolina. Williams had his first career 100-yard game in the 30-3 rout. His first catch was a 43-yard touchdown in the first quarter, which was made possible by the second-year receiver as he did a lot of dancing to get around a couple of Carolina defenders. Williams added another 40-yard catch later in the game on his way to five catches for 107 yards.
Analysis: Williams now has a career-high 300 yards on the season and added his fourth touchdown in six games in Week 10. He continues to thrive in the absence of Kenny Britt and is becoming one of Matt Hasselbeck's most-reliable targets. Williams is still not a stud receiver, but he can be used as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy WR or flex option for Week 11 at Atlanta.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams visited the end zone for the third time in five games Week 9 and will be looking for his fourth touchdown of the season Week 10 at Carolina. Teams have mostly dominated against the Panthers on the ground this season, which is why WRs are averaging 15 Fantasy points per week, which is fourth-lowest in the NFL. WRs have just four touchdowns against Carolina and haven't scored against them since Week 3.
Analysis: Williams has benefited greatly from the absence of Kenny Britt, who is lost for the season with a knee injury. However, a close examination of Williams' numbers show that if he doesn't score, then he usually has a very modest to bad Fantasy outing. With the matchup not in his favor and no teams on byes in Week 10, Williams is more of a desperation Fantasy start.
News: Tennessee WR Damian Williams continues to grow in the Titans' passing game as he had another solid game on Sunday of Week 9 against the Bengals. With Nate Washington blanketed by the Cincinnati secondary -- and later injuring his hip -- Williams was able to get open for four catches and 34 yards. One of those catches was a beautiful 8-yard touchdown reception in the back of the end zone from QB Matt Hasselbeck near the end of the first half. Williams jumped in the air to catch the pass and came down making sure both feet were in bounds for the score.
Analysis: Williams could see a Fantasy boost going forward if Washington has to miss any time. Williams certainly seems a long shot to reach the end zone Week 10 at Carolina. The Panthers have been decent this season against the pass, though that is mostly due to the fact that no team has been worse against the run. Carolina can't stop the run so Chris Johnson and Javon Ringer will have a field day. The Titans don't really enjoy passing much, anyway, so little should be expected of Williams against the Panthers. Fantasy owners should consider Williams as just a last-resort option in Fantasy play. That said, his value grows if Washington has to miss the game.
News: Tennessee receiver Damian Williams has been inconsistent in his role as the No. 2 WR option in the passing game for QB Matt Hasselbeck this season. Williams is second on the depth chart behind Nate Washington since Kenny Britt was injured and for the season he's caught 14 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns. That said, he's only registered more than one catch in two games this season and his best game was six catches for 66 yards and a TD Week 5 at Pittsburgh. He's done little since.
Analysis: Williams looked active in the passing game last week against the Colts, but he will have a tall task ahead of him to perform well in Week 9 against the Bengals. Cincinnati is allowing the eighth-fewest Fantasy points per game to opposing receivers on the season. That said, Seattle receivers Ben Obomanu, Sidney Rice and Doug Baldwin combined for 16 receptions for 282 yards in the Week 8 game against the Bengals. Cincinnati has only allowed three touchdowns to wide receivers this season, though, so Williams is no better than a last-resort option in Fantasy.
News: Tennessee receiver Damian Williams led the Titans with 60 yards gained through the air in the Week 8 win over the Colts. Williams caught four passes for his 60 yards and did not score in the game. He had a long reception of 27 yards and was targeted by QB Matt Hasselbeck five times.
Analysis: The Titans must face a very solid pass defense in Week 9 against the Bengals. Cincinnati has been among the best in the NFL at limiting the weekly Fantasy production of opposing wide receivers and that does not bode well for Williams and company. In fact, the Bengals have allowed just one touchdown to a wide receiver -- Jason Hill Week 5 -- since Eric Decker caught two against them in Week 2. Williams was definitely becoming an intriguing Fantasy option with touchdowns in back-to-back games against the Browns and Steelers, but he's just a low-end option for Week 9.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams, who sustained a head injury Week 7, practiced in full Wednesday as the team prepares for Week 8 against the Colts. Williams head slammed against the turf after he dropped a deep pass inside the red zone last week for the Titans. Youre self-critical on every play, Williams said. Even when you make big plays, youre always thinking you could have done something better.
Analysis: Williams disappointed a lot of Fantasy owners in Week 7 after scoring in two straight games, but he did get injured, so at least he has a legit excuse for his poor outing. Williams has stepped up lately after the season-ending injury to Kenny Britt. He isn't on Britt's talent level, but Williams can pass as a low-end Fantasy option.
News: Titans coach Mike Munchak said Monday that WR Damian Williams, who left with a head injury Week 7 against the Texans, should be OK for Week 8 against the Colts after undergoing tests.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams left Week 7's game against the Texans in the second quarter after falling hard in an attempt to catch a deep pass from QB Matt Hasselback. He remained out of the game due to headaches, according to the The Tennessean. He made one catch on the afternoon for five yards.
Analysis: Williams had a productive week against the Steelers, just before the Titans' Week 6 bye, so if he can return healthy, he could be worth a try in deeper formats. Especially with the Titans having a favorable Week 8 matchup against the Colts, owners in those formats should check back on Williams' status before setting lineups.
News:The Tennessean reports Titans offensive coordinator Chris Palmer wants more from WR Damian Williams, who has recorded a touchdown in two straight games. I need to push him a little bit more, Palmer said. I think hes responding very, very well. Hes had his first two touchdowns. But I did have to get after him a little bit and he understands why I got after him -- because my expectations are much higher than his right now. Hes only a second-year player. Hes got a bright future ahead of him. Williams apparently is listening to what his coordinator is telling him. He told me what he expects and I told him what Ive got and what Im going to give him, Williams said. Were on the same page.
Analysis: Williams has had the opportunity to step up because Kenny Britt is done for the season with a knee injury. He has become the de facto second receiver on offense behind Nate Washington. In past years that wasn't a good thing. But now that Matt Hasselbeck is running the offense, the Titans have a passing offense. Consider taking a flier on Williams in deeper formats if you need help at receiver. Just keep in mind that Tennessee is one a bye until Week 7 vs. Houston.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams, who first entered the starting lineup for the injured Kenny Britt (knee) in Week 4, caught a touchdown pass for the second straight game Week 5 at Pittsburgh, connecting with QB Matt Hasselbeck on a 19-yard strike in the fourth quarter. Only this week, he was a factor outside of the red zone as well. Williams was targeted 11 times -- three more than presumed No. 1 target Nate Washington -- and finished with six catches for a team-high 66 yards.
Analysis: Williams and Lavelle Hawkins were considered the primary candidates to replace Britt, but Williams clearly emerged as the better of the two in Week 5. Though Washington is still likely to be the Titans' most productive receiver on a week-to-week basis, Williams could have his moments in Fantasy when opposing defenses key in on Washington. Williams still isn't worth adding outside of deeper leagues, but he bears watching. The Titans have a bye in Week 6 before hosting the Texans in Week 7.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams, getting his first start of the season with Kenny Britt sidelined by a knee injury, wasn't a consistent part of the passing game Week 4 at Cleveland, but he made his one catch count, scoring on a 4-yard pass from QB Matt Hasselbeck in the second quarter. Williams was targeted four times.
Analysis: Williams has some ability, but the second-year player has yet to contribute much statistically in his career, and other than the touchdown, Week 4 was no exception. Then again, considering Hasselbeck attempted only 20 passes all day, Williams' four targets weren't so bad. He could eventually become a usable Fantasy option with Britt sidelined, but you have no reason to take a chance on him in Week 5 considering his tough matchup at Pittsburgh.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams, who along with Lavelle Hawkins is expected to play a bigger role with Kenny Britt out for the year with a knee injury, will have a tough test Week 4 at Cleveland. The Browns rank third against the pass, allowing 187.3 yards per game, and have allowed only 14.0 Fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, fourth-best in the NFL. Williams didn't get off to such a great start with QB Matt Hasselbeck after Britt left in Week 3. The two had some communication issues. "There was a [third down], I thought he was running one route, he thought he was running another, Hasselbeck said. "It was a mess, that wont happen again.
Analysis: Williams isn't as far along as Hawkins and will likely be just the third receiving option for the Titans. If Williams doesn't seize the opportunity right away, he might ultimately lose playing time to Donnie Avery, who the Titans signed Tuesday, but he's not at risk of that just yet. You wouldn't want to use Williams in the majority of Fantasy leagues in Week 4.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams had a 19-yard catch in the team's Week 3 win over the Broncos. He was thrown at three times.
Analysis: It looked as if there were some timing issues with Williams and QB Matt Hasselbeck in the game, something that will need some work in the event that Williams gets more playing time (with Kenny Britt hurt, that's possible). Speculate on Williams only in deep seasonal leagues and dynasty/keeper formats.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams, who did not play in Week 2 due to a hamstring injury, will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.
Analysis: Williams caught one pass for 5 yards in the season opener but is not a huge part of the Titans offense even when healthy. Continue to ignore Williams in all Fantasy leagues.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams was able to play in Saturday's preseason opener against Minnesota despite dealing with sore ribs. Williams had two catches for 35 yards against the Vikings.
Analysis: Williams is competing for a roster spot with the Titans and has minimal Fantasy value. He is at best No. 4 on the depth chart behind Kenny Britt, Nate Washington and Justin Gage. Ignore Williams in all leagues when healthy.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams missed Fridays practice with sore ribs. Its the first setback in an otherwise successful start to training camp for the second-year wideout. Well do some tests to see exactly where that is at, coach Mike Munchak said. We dont think its anything serious.
Analysis: Williams has been working for more playing time in 2011 after making 16 catches for 219 yards as a rookie. Still, he will likely open the year behind Kenny Britt, Nate Washington and possibly Justin Gage -- so any injury only hurts the cause. Williams is worth keeping an eye on for now, but he's not worth selecting on Draft Day in any format.
News: The Tennessean reports that Titans WR Damian Williams is hoping for more playing time in 2011. Id be lying if I said I didnt want to be on the field more, said Williams. But I feel that is the case with everybody in the league. If you are not playing a whole lot, you want to be playing a whole lot or you wouldnt be playing the game. But thats OK. I still think my rookie year went great. I got to experience a lot of different things, the high and the lows of the season. After making 16 catches for 219 yards in 2010, hes expected to have a bigger role for the Titans in 2011 under new offensive coordinator Chris Palmer. At the end of last season, not getting Williams more involved in the offense was one of the biggest regrets of the former coaching staff. I know what it is all about now, Williams said. Your rookie year you are playing with grown men and you are fresh out of college, so it is different. But now I have a year under my belt and I know how to prepare for things, and just knowing how to prepare is probably the biggest thing. If you can get over that hump, you can make it. I feel Im ready. We could play tomorrow.
Analysis: Williams has the chance to help the Titans in 2011, but he will enter the season behind Kenny Britt, Nate Washington and possibly Justin Gage on the depth chart. Keep an eye on Williams' progress, but he has minimal Fantasy value heading into the season. Ignore him in all leagues on Draft Day.
News: Titans Rookie WR Damian Williams saw some increased playing time in the Week 17 loss to the Colts. He even came out as the team's Wildcat QB on the first drive of the game, and he ran a keeper for 5 yards. Williams had one of his better receiving days as a pro after hauling in three passes for 24 yards from QB Kerry Collins.
Analysis: Williams has had a disappointing rookie season after being selected by Tennessee in the third round of the draft. He closed out the rookie campaign with 16 catches for 219 yards and no scores. Heading into 2011, he should again be a marginal Fantasy option as he sits so low on the team's pecking order at WR.
News: Titans Rookie WR Damian Williams had his longest catch of the season, a 39-yarder, last week. He hasnt gotten the opportunities he hoped for after being a third-round pick. Thats just being a competitor," Williams said. "You wanna be out there and show them what you can do. The Titans take on the Chiefs in Week 16.
Analysis: The rookie lies too far down the team's pecking order on the outside. He had his first catch in six games last week, and should be avoided in Fantasy play.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams recorded his first reception in six games Week 15 against the Texans. It went for 39 yards.
Analysis: Nice catch for Williams, but the rookie is still a minimal contributor on offense and doesn't do enough statistically to factor in Fantasy. You can leave him on waivers.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams saw some passes thrown his way in Week 8 against the Chargers. After starter Kenny Britt went down in the first quarter with a hamstring injury, Williams became more involved in the offense. He was targeted nine time and caught two passes for 43 yards in the 33-25 loss.
Analysis: Williams did not catch a pass in the first four games this season but has 11 for 146 yards over the last four games. The injury to Britt could open the door for the 22-year-old to start producing more but Fantasy owners should keep an eye on the situation before making any decisions. Williams is only viable in deeper formats at this point but could see a big increase in value in Week 10 against the Dolphins is Britt is unable to go.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams got a chance to start in Week 7 against Philadelphia. He started over WR Kenny Britt, who was being punished for a bar-room brawl earlier in the week. Williams finished second on the team in receptions and yards with three catches for 25 yards while Britt exploded upon his entering the game midway through the second quarter with seven grabs for 225 yards and three touchdowns.
Analysis: In the first quarter-plus of the game, Titans WRs Williams and Nate Washington did very little to establish a passing game. Following Britt's entry, however, Kerry Collins and Britt turned the passing game into a more vertical attack and the result was Britt racking up 225 yards of the 276 yards Kerry Collins passed for. Needless to say, Britt should retain the starting job going forward and Williams will be little more than a third option. He is not a player we recommend owning in any Fantasy league.
News: Titans WR Justin Gage (hamstring) was listed as inactive for Week 7 against the Eagles. He had been listed as questionable on the injury report. Damian Williams was given the start in his place.
Analysis: Williams has been little-used so far this season but had the best game of his career in Week 6 against the Jaguars. The USC product caught four passes for 48 yards in the 30-3 win. He could be in line for similar numbers this week, but remains a poor play in most leagues.
News: Titans rookie WR Damian Williams has been little-used so far this season but had the best game of his career in Week 6 against the Jaguars. The USC product caught four passes for 48 yards in the 30-3 win.
Analysis: Williams did not have a single catch in the first four games this season but has six for 78 yards over the last two weeks. He is mainly seeing time while Justin Gage is injured but he could continue to have games like Monday night's if given the opportunity. Still, Williams will most likely be back on the bench once Gage returns so continue to ignore the 22-year-old in all formats heading into Week 7 against the Eagles.
News: Titans WR Damian Williams finally made it on to the stat sheet in Week 5 against the Cowboys. Williams had two receptions for 30 yards in the 34-27 win. He was targeted three times and had a long of 23 yards.
Analysis: Williams is a rookie out of USC, who saw more snaps than normal because Justin Gage was ruled inactive. He is not someone who will see a whole lot of snaps on a regular basis and will likely not play much at all once Gage returns. We don't recommend starting him in Week 6.
News: Tennessee WR Damian Williams (hamstring) got back in action on Monday night in a preseason win over the Cardinals. For Williams, a rookie out of USC, this was his first action of the preseason. Williams led the Titans in catches with a team-high four grabs for 40 yards, good enough for second on the team behind Nate Washington. Williams' long catch went for 15 yards.
Analysis: Williams is a candidate to return punts and kicks for the Titans this season. He has a long uphill climb if he wants to have any effect on the receiving corps this season for the Titans. He has some pretty stiff competition ahead of him on the depth chart and we just can't see him climbing past Kenny Britt. Williams should be just a low-end pick in rookie-only drafts and not bothered with in regular Fantasy play.
News: Jeff Fisher said Wednesday that return specialist Damian Williams, a third-round pick, has been cleared to play on Monday against the Cardinals. The rookie began practicing only recently after sitting out with a strained hamstring.
Analysis: Williams is a candidate to return punts and kicks for the Titans this season, but has some pretty stiff competition ahead of him on the depth chart at wide receiver. It's hard to see him climbing past Kenny Britt, Nate Washington and Justin Gage in his first year. As of now, Williams' Fantasy value is that of a late pick in dynasty/keeper leagues and a mid-round pick in rookie-only drafts.
News: Receiver Damian Williams came off the physically unable to perform list and practiced in a special teams session Wednesday. Williams is the third-round draft pick out of Southern California and expected to have the best chance at being the team's new punt returner. He said he thought he was ready to return a couple days ago from his strained right hamstring, but team officials wanted to be cautious. He would love to play at Seattle on Saturday in preseason action. "At the same time, I know this is one of those injuries you've got to be really careful of ... I'll leave that to coach Fisher," Williams said.
Analysis: Williams might need some time to shake off some rust before contributing to the Titans' cause. We doubt he'll make an impact on offense this year but could be helpful in the coming seasons. Williams is simply worth a late pick in dynasty/keeper leagues and a mid-round pick in rookie-only drafts for now.
News: The Tennessee Titans are starting training camp Saturday with six players on the PUP list, including starting defensive tackle Tony Brown. Brown had surgery to fix a problem in his knee and spent the offseason rehabbing. Receiver Damian Williams injured his hamstring in the 13th of the team's 14 on-field training sessions, and coach Jeff Fisher had worried about his condition. The Titans checked him out Saturday morning and found the third-round pick from Southern California isn't ready to practice yet. Linebacker David Thornton, safety Nick Schommer, cornerback Jamar Love and fullback William Rose also are on the PUP list.

News: The Titans have agreed to terms with rookie WR Damian Williams. Williams, out of Southern California, was Tennessee's second pick in the third round of this year's draft.

News: Rookie WR Damian Williams, a third-round pick, felt some tightness in a hamstring late in Thursday's practice and didn't finish the drills. The Titans rookie didn't seem concerned with the tweak. "There's never a good time for it to happen, but I guess if anytime this is the best because we'll have a little break and I'll have a whole lot of time to rehab," Williams said. "I'll be ready for camp."
Analysis: Williams is believed to be a prime contender for the punt-return job in Tennessee, though he could also work as part of the receiving rotation behind the starters. There were rumors earlier this offseason that he would push Kenny Britt for playing time, but for now getting his hamstring taken care of is most important -- they can be nagging injuries through the year. Williams is simply worth a late pick in dynasty/keeper leagues and a mid-round pick in rookie-only drafts for now.
News: The Tennessean reports the Titans are expecting WR Kenny Britt to act more professional heading into 2010, but it might be too late in terms of his role. Britt got off to a rocky start this offseason, especially when coaches left him on the sideline when the Titans held their first round of practices in April because he was out of shape, but he will be on the field this week when veterans and rookies are together for the first time. "I have my eyes on doing anything possible," Britt said. "Whatever coaches ask me to do, I'll do. It is not what I did last year or what can I do, it is what coaches ask me to do." QB Vince Young believes Britt has matured and is ready. "He definitely has the skills and the talent, and all he has to do is take care of his responsibilities," Young said. "That is part of growing up. I had to go through it. Everybody has to go through it." The story says Britt might revert to being the No. 3 WR for the Titans behind Nate Washington and Justin Gage in addition to Britt, who could be pushed by second-round pick Damian Williams.
Analysis: This would be a significant move if Williams moves ahead of Britt on the depth chart, but we don't see that happening. Britt has too much talent, and Williams was expected to play more on special teams as a rookie. Keep an eye on what happens during training camp, and if Williams is ahead of Britt then his Fantasy value will rise. He's now worth a late pick in dynasty/keeper leagues and a mid-round pick in rookie-only drafts.
News: The Titans used their second pick of the 2010 NFL Draft on Southern California WR Damian Williams. Williams had a career-high 70 catches for 1,010 yards in 2009 with the Trojans. He's known for running crisp pass routes and sticky hands, but he said the Titans told him they need help in their special teams. The 6-foot, 197-pound Williams may be called upon to return punts; he scored two touchdowns off punt returns in 2009. "We are in complete agreement that we are very fortunate that Damian was there," head coach Jeff Fisher said the day they drafted Williams. "We had Damian rated quiet high. ... Damian is a complete receiver. He can play all positions, inside, outside and in addition to that he returns. He ... is a very, very talented punt returner and all around tremendous athlete. So were excited to bring him aboard. We think he will solve some of our return needs that we have had as of late."
Analysis: Looks like Williams will contribute immediately on special teams, which might mean he contributes sparingly on offense. If your league counts special-teams yardage, he might be worth a look late in drafts. Otherwise he's a long-term project for the Titans; he'll be buried on the depth chart behind Kenny Britt, Nate Washington and Justin Gage. He's worth a late pick in dynasty/keeper leagues and a mid-round pick in rookie-only drafts.
