Webb has no structural damage in the back, but the team will not rush him back and risk his availability for the start of the regular season.

(7/30/2014) Tests conducted on Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb's lower back revealed no structural damage, sources tell the Baltimore Sun. The injury, which occurred Friday, is apparently muscular, the paper said.

As of now, the team expects Webb to recover with rest and rehab. They won't rush him back because they need him healthy for the season opener.

Webb has been out of practice since Saturday while dealing with the back issue, which could be worse than initially thought. He played all 16 games last season after missing 10 games the previous year.

(7/26/2014) Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb is experiencing back spasms that caused him to leave Friday practice, but the problem is not considered serious, according to the Baltimore Sun. Webb underwent sports hernia surgery last year, but has made a full recovery.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh announced the news at a press conference Tuesday. Webb played in and started all 16 games for the club this season. He notched 74 total tackles and two interceptions.

(12/9/2013) Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb totaled four pass defenses Week 14 vs. Minnesota, which was his second-highest total this season behind his seven pass defenses Week 10 against the Bengals.

Webb has 19 pass defenses through 13 games and needs just one more to tie his career high. Webb had five solo tackles Sunday and now has 62 tackles through 13 games. He needs just five more tackles to tie a career high.

Nose tackle Haloti Ngata (hamstring), cornerback Lardarius Webb (groin), linebacker Daryl Smith (hamstring) and defensive end Chris Canty (knee) all practiced on Friday after missing the Thursday session. Defensive end Terrell Suggs, who was limited Thursday with a neck ailment, was also practicing Friday.

Their potential availability for the Sunday game in Chicago will be clearer when the team issues its Friday injury report.

(11/14/2013) The battered Ravens defense had their total of absences raised from three to four Thursday when defensive end Chris Canty (undisclosed) missed practice. Nose tackle Haloti Ngata (knee), middle linebacker Daryl Smith (hamstring) and cornerback Lardarius Webb (groin) were all red-lighted for their second straight day.

The availability of all them for the game Sunday in Chicago remains undetermined.

(11/13/2013) Three premier Ravens defenders missed practice Wednesday with a variety of ailments. Included were nose tackle Haloti Ngata (knee), linebacker Daryl Smith (hamstring) and cornerback Lardarius Webb (groin).

Ngata left the Week 10 win over Cincinnati with his injury, but returned quickly. Smith and Webb both played the game in full after being deemed questionable.

"At first, I was concerned that it might act up," he told the Baltimore Sun after the game. "I didn't feel a thing."
