Raiders, C Rodney Hudson agree to five-year megadeal

(3/9/2015) Free agent center Rodney Hudson agreed to a five-year, $44.5 million deal with the Raiders, reports CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. Hudson, 25, started 31 of 32 games for the Chiefs over the past two seasons.

When Hudson officially signs the contract on Tuesday, he'll become the league's highest-paid center.

(3/8/2015) The Raiders are looking to upgrade their offensive line by making a run at center Rodney Hudson, according to a report from FOX Sports. 

Hudson has previously met with the Chiefs, the team he's played with the past the past four seasons. With Kansas City, Hudson has started 31 of the 32 games he's played in the past two years. 

Though the Raiders are vying for Hudson, the Chiefs are still very much alive in the free agent battle.

No deal appears imminent, but the two sides are still discussing a contract. Hudson has started in 31 games for the Chiefs over the last two seasons.
