Blake Bortles among Jags cleared to face Baltimore

(12/14/2014) Jaguars rookie quarterback Blake Bortles will start Sunday's game at Baltimore after being listed as probable with a shoulder injury. Other probables suiting up are running back Toby Gerhart (ankle), defensive end Chris Clemons (knee), safety Josh Evans (finger), wideout Tommy Streeter (abdomen) and linebacker J.T. Thomas III (ankle).

Jaguars list six as probable for Sunday against the Ravens

(12/12/2014) Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles (shoulder) is considered probable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Bortles has yet to miss time since being named the starter in Week 4. 

Others listed as probable include: Chris Clemons , Josh Evans, Toby Gerhart, Tommy Streeter and J.T. Thomas

Andre Branch, Khairi Fortt, and Denard Robinson are out. 


Jaguars might consider changing up linebacker corps

(10/30/2014) While the Jaguars were pleased with how J.T. Thomas performed at middle linebacker Week 8 against the Dolphins, coach Gus Bradley is considering making a change to the linebacker corps because rookie Jeremiah George is making a strong impression on the coaching staff. 

"We’re looking at the linebacker spot, what’s our best three on the field?" Bradley said, per The Florida Times-Union. "We know J.T. played well. [Otto] Dekoda Watson played pretty well. Jeremiah George is showing up a little bit in practice, so a chance to see him in there and throw him into the mix. We’re trying to find a way to see as of right now, what gives us our best opportunity and what guys are playing the best on the field."


Jaguars reconfigure LB depth chart after losing MLB for season

(10/20/2014) Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said Monday linebacker J.T. Thomas will take over at middle linebacker in the wake of Paul Posluszny suffering a season-ending pectoral injury. Bradley added LaRoy Reynolds and Dekoda Watson will take over at outside linebacker, where Thomas had been starting.

Jaguars make two changes on defense

(9/24/2014) The Jaguars have made two changes to their starting lineup on defense heading into Week 4 at San Diego, according to The Florida Times-Union.

Josh Evans has supplanted Winston Guy as the starting free safety, and J.T. Thomas takes over for LaRoy Reynolds as the starting outside linebacker.

Jaguars list nine probables on injury report

(11/29/2013) The Jaguars placed 12 players on their Friday injury report, but nine are probable for the game against the Browns on Sunday.

The offensive players so designated are linemen Will Rackley (illness) and Cameron Bradfield (bicep) and wide receiver Cecil Shorts (groin). Running back Justin Forsett (foot) is out.

The defensive probables are cornerback Will Blackmon (shoulder), defensive end Andre Branch (knee), safety Winston Guy (shoulder), linebackers J.T. Thomas (ankle) and Geno Hayes (knee) and tackle Roy Miller (shoulder).

(9/21/2013) Jaguars linebacker J.T. Thomas (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Friday and was ruled probable for Week 3 at Seattle. In addition, defensive tackle Roy Miller (knee) and cornerback Alan Ball (groin) both did not practice Friday. However, Miller was labeled as probable and Ball was labeled as questionable for Sunday's game.

(9/15/2013) The Jaguars have made QB Blaine Gabbert, WR Mike Brown, CB Dwayne Gratz, LB J.T. Thomas, TE Marcedes Lewis, DT Abry Jones and CB Marcus Burley inactive Week 2 against the Raiders. 

Gabbert was ruled out earlier this week. Lewis has been dealing with a calf injury, and did not play Week 1.

Thomas signs rookie deal


(7/27/2011) Rookie LB J.T. Thomas has become the first Bears draft pick to sign his four-year rookie contract. The 6-foot-1, 241-pound, sixth-round pick from West Virginia will get a dose of all three LB positions eventually. As a redshirt freshman, Thomas was arrested and suspended at West Virginia for transferring stolen property.

Bears add bulk to defense
