Report: State Attorney doesn't file charges against Pouncey brothers

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/22/2014) The Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney has decided Dolphins offensive lineman Mike Pouncey and Steelers offensive lineman Maurkice Pouncey will not be charged in connection with an altercation at their birthday party inside Cameo Nightclub this summer, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Miami Beach police investigated claims made by a South Florida man that alleges the brothers assaulted him during the party. Miami Beach police turned over all the information it gathered during the investigation to the state attorney's office, which decided there wasn't enough evidence to file charges.

"This confirms that the previous claim that the brothers were involved was false and fabricated by individuals seeking notoriety and monetary gain," said Jeff Ostrow, personal counsel to the Pounceys.

The Pounceys are still facing a civil lawsuit from the alleged victims.
