Bengals keeping an eye on two players

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/14/2014) Bengals offensive lineman Clint Boling and linebacker/safety Emmanuel Lamur are expected to pitch in more in 2014 after getting hurt in 2013.

The official team website notes that Boling, who had ACL surgery on Dec. 31, is a much-needed piece to the O-line. His versatility provides depth and he's talented enough to start. He thinks he'll be ready for Week 1.

Lamur (shoulder) will be cleared in time for late-April offseason work and also offers a lot of versatility. Big enough to play linebacker and fast enough to dabble at safety, Lamur could work as a three-down defender, according to defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, but might exclusively on passing downs in nickel packages.

(12/3/2013) The Bengals announced Tuesday they re-signed tackle Dennis Roland after losing guard Clint Boling to a season-ending knee injury Sunday against the Chargers. Boling was placed on injured reserve to clear a roster spot.
