Redskins CB Chris Culliver has charge reduced to misdemeanor

(3/24/2015) Newly signed Redskins cornerback Chris Culliver had his charge of felony possession of brass knuckles reduced to a misdemeanor on Tuesday, according to the Mercury News.

Culliver signed a four-year, $32 million deal with the Redskins earlier this month. He still has a charge pending involving one count of midemeanor hit-and-run. These charges were incurred while the cornerback was a member of the 49ers.

The 26-year-old was second on the 49ers' defense with four interceptions in 2014. For his career he has 127 total tackles, 35 passes defensed, seven interceptions and two forced fumbles.


Redskins sign ex-49ers CB Chris Culliver to four-year deal

(3/13/2015) The Redskins have agreed to terms with free agent cornerback Chris Culliver on a four-year contract worth $32 million, reports Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports on Friday. Culliver visited the team on Thursday before making his final decision.

Culliver, a third round pick in 2011, spent his first four years in the league with San Francisco. He registered 127 tackles, seven interceptions, 36 passes defended during his four-year run with the 49ers. The 26-year-old came back from a torn ACL in 2014, and picked off a career best four passes to go along with 15 passes defended and 45 tackles.

Michael Crabtree good to go for 49ers

(12/28/2014) The 49ers will have wideout Michael Crabtree Week 17 against the Cardinals.

Crabtree came into the contest listed as probable due to a knee injury. The club will also have Chris Culliver, Brandon Lloyd, Marcus Martin and Justin Smith. All four players were also listed as probable. 

Bruce Ellington, who came into the game listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury, will give it a go. He's the only player listed as questionable who will attempt to play through his injury. 


49ers rule out three for Sunday against the Cardinals

(12/26/2014) The 49ers have deemed running back Carlos Hyde (ankle), wide receiver Steve Johnson (knee) and safety Eric Reid (concussion) as out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

It is the second straight game out for both Hyde and Johnson. Hyde finishes his rooke season with 83 carries for 333 yards and four touchdowns while Johnson had 35 catches for 435 yards and three touchdowns this year.

Wide receiever Bruce Ellington (hamstring), cornerbacks Tramaine Brock (hamstring) and Perrish Cox (shoulder) and linebacker Ahmad Brooks (thumb) are all listed as questionable.

Michael Crabtree (knee), Chris Culliver (knee), Brandon Lloyd (groin), Marcus Martin (illness) and Justin Smith (back) are all listed as probable.

The 49ers are currently 6 1/2-point favorites against Arizona Sunday.

Both players were listed as questionable on the team's final injury report, though it was reported early Saturday that Gore would in fact suit up for the game. Crabtree has yet to miss a game this season.

Offensive tackle Anthony Davis (concussion) is also active after being listed as questionable. (12/19/2014) The 49ers have ruled the following players out for Saturday's game against San Diego: Linebacker Chris Borland (ankle), cornerback Tramaine Brock (hamstring), running back Carlos Hyde (ankle), wide receiver Stevie Johnson (knee).

Linebacker Ahmad Brooks (thumb), wide receiver Michael Crabtree (knee), right tackle Anthony Davis (concussion), running back Frank Gore (concussion), safety Raymond Vetrone (groin) and linebacker Michael Wilhoite (hip) were labeled as questionable.

Meanwhile, cornerback Perrish Cox (ankle), cornerback Chris Culliver (knee), defensive tackle Quinton Dial (knee), defensive end Tony Jerod-Eddie (foot), right tackle Jonathan Martin (illness), center Marcus Martin (knee), long snapper Kyle Nelson (back) and defensive end Justin Smith (back) were all deemed as probable.

(12/14/2014) The 49ers have listed QB Josh Johnson, WR Steve Johnson, OL Marcus Martin, OL Anthony Davis, S Raymond Ventrone, CB Tramaine Brock and CB Chris Culliver as inactive Week 15 against the Seahawks. 

Brock, Culliver, Martin and Ventrone all came into the contest listed as questionable, but none of them will play. Stevie Johnson had been ruled out prior to Sunday. Both Josh Johnson and Anthony Davis are healthy scratches.

Cornerback Tramaine Brock (hamstring), cornerback Chris Culliver (knee), center Marcus Martin (knee) and safety Raymond Ventrone (groin) were deemed questionable.

Meanwhile, guard Mike Iupati (elbow), defensive end Ray McDonald (finger) and defensive end Justin Smith (back) were labeled as probable.

(12/9/2014) 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver told reporters Tuesday an MRI on his injured knee came back negative, reports the San Jose Mercury News.

Culliber added that his knee is OK, but sore. He remains day-to-day.

The 49ers play at Seattle Sunday.

Culliver left in the second quarter with a left knee injury. He was eventually carted to the locker room for further evaluation. Culliver was initially ruled questionable to return, but was downgraded to out at the beginning of the third quarter.

Crabtree came into the game listed as probable due to a knee injury. He was never really a threat to miss the contest.
