Browns place eight probables on Friday injury report

(12/27/2013) The Browns list a whopping 16 players on their Friday injury report, but half are probable for the Week 17 battle in Pittsburgh, including All-Pro tackle Joe Thomas (back). The other offensive players among them are running back Willis McGahee (knee) and tackle Mitchell Schwartz (toe).

The four defensive probables are linebackers Paul Kruger (illness) and Tank Carder (shoulder), safety Jordan Poyer (toe) and safety T.J. Ward (shoulder, illness). Punter Spencer Lanning (knee) is also probable.


Browns list two questionable, eight probable for Sunday

(12/20/2013) Browns cornerback Joe Haden (hip) and wide receiver Davone Bess (personal) are the lone questionables on the injury report released by the team on Friday.

The probables are linebackers Tank Carder (shoulder) and Eric Martin (illness), running back Willis McGahee (concussion, knee), defensive lineman Ahtyba Rubin (calf), tackles Mitchell Schwartz (toe) and Joe Thomas (back), punter Spencer Lanning (knee) and safety T.J. Ward (shoulder).


Browns defense healthy on Sunday

(12/15/2013) The Browns injury report for Week 15 against the Bears featured six players from the defensive side of the ball, all of whom were expected to take the field Sunday.  As expected, all six are active prior to kickoff: linebackers Tank Carder (shoulder), D'Qwell Jackson (ankle), Paul Kruger (elbow) and Craig Robertson (knee); defensive lineman Ahtyba Rubin (calf); and defensive back T.J. Ward (shoulder).

They are linebackers Craig Robertson (knee), D'Qwell Jackson (ankle), Paul Kruger (elbow) and Tank Carder (shoulder), lineman Ahtyba Rubin (calif) and safety T.J. Ward (shoulder).


Browns linebacker duo among questionables for Sunday

(12/6/2013) Linebacker Craig Robertson was inactive the last two games with a knee injury, but he leads a short list of Browns listed as questionable for Sunday at New England and could make his return. The other questionables are fellow linebacker Tank Carder (shoulder) and tight end MarQueis Gray (hamstring).

Among the probables are linebacker Paul Kruger (finger), running back Willis McGahee (knee) and tackle Mitchell Schwartz (toe).

(12/1/2013) Browns quarterback Jason Campbell (concussion) and linebackers Tank Carder (shoulder) and Craig Robertson (knee) are the injured inactives for the game Sunday against Jacksonville.

The healthy players on the list are offensive linemen Reid Fragel, Garrett Gilkey and Martin Wallace and defensive lineman Ishmaa'ily Kitchen.

(11/29/2013) Browns inside linebackers Craig Robertson (knee) and Tank Carder (shoulder) remained out of practice on Friday, the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram has reported. The latter has been ruled out while Robertson is doubtful for the game Sunday against Jacksonville. His absence could result in inexperienced Darius Eubanks starting against Jacksonville.

One of three injured Browns returns to practice on Wednesday

(11/27/2013) One key defensive starter is set to practice Wednesday for the Browns, the Cleveland Plain Dealer has reported. Cornerback Buster Skrine (ribs) is ready to roll, but linebacker Craig Robertson (knee) is out.

Also not practicing will be linebacker Tank Carder (shoulder), who filled in for Robertson in Week 12 before sustaining his injury. If Carder and Robertson can't play Sunday against Jacksonville, Darius Eubanks will start.

(11/21/2013) Little-used inside linebacker Tank Carder will start Sunday for the Browns against Pittsburgh if third-leading tackler Craig Robertson is inactive with a knee injury sustained in Week 11 in Cincinnati, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Carder recorded seven tackles against the Bengals as he replaced the injured Robertson, but he has been used mostly this season on special teams. Robertson has yet to practice this week.


Browns defense missing two due to injury

(10/27/2013) The  Browns defense is in pretty good shape as far as injuries go for Week 8 against the Chiefs Sunday. Of six players listed on the injury report, only defensive lineman Billy Winn (quadriceps) and linebacker Quentin Groves (ankle) are inactive.

Defensive back Chris Owens (finger), defensive lineman Armonty Bryant (shoulder) and linebackers Tank Carder (neck) and Brandon Magee (oblique) were all able to play through their injuries. 


Probables dominate Browns injury report for Friday

(2:21 pm ET) The Browns are in good shape physically as they prepare for the game Sunday against the undefeated Chiefs. No key player aside from Billy Winn, a possible starter at defensive end, has been designated as worse than probable. Backup linebacker Quentin Groves is doubtful after playing last week with an ankle injury.

The probables are linebackers Brandon Magee (oblique) and Tank Carder (knee), defensive end Armonty Bryant (shoulder), running backs Chris Ogbonnaya (ribs) and Willis McGahee (knee) and cornerback Chris Owens (finger).


Browns still shuffling roster

(9/1/2012) The Browns continued tweaking their roster Saturday in preparation for the upcoming season, claiming linebacker Tank Carder and defensive lineman Ishmaa'ily Kitchen off waivers. Cleveland waived defensive lineman Brian Sanford and waived/injured defensive lineman Scott Paxson to clear space on the active roster.
