News: Arizona released WR Jaymar Johnson from its active roster on Wednesday in order to clear space to help boost its ailing offensive line. Johnson, who joined the Cardinals in late November, was added to the team's practice squad.
Analysis: Johnson appeared in only one game with Arizona this season, but did not register a catch. He is not a massive Fantasy contributor and should be left untouched in all formats.
News: The Cardinals elevated WR Jaymar Johnson from the practice squad to the 53-man roster on Tuesday and released FB Reagan Maui'a.
Analysis: Johnson has played in six career games and has just one catch for 9 yards over that span. Continue to ignore him in all Fantasy leagues.
News: The Cardinals added free agent WR Jaymar Johnson to their practice squad on Tuesday. He had been waived by the Vikings when they made their final preseason cuts.
Analysis: Johnson could eventually get added to the team's 53-man roster, but he is unlikely to see playing time outside of special teams. He should not be owned in any Fantasy format.
News: The Vikings have released WR Jaymar Johnson, S Ryan Hill and CB Devon Torrence, according to 1500ESPN on Friday. The big surprise, Johnson, had come into camp in great shape and really excelled in Mankato. His performance tailed off and other players, such as Marcus Sherels (KR), flashed past him.
Analysis: Johnson was expected to excel on offense and special teams in 2011, and there was some early-camp buzz about him possibly cracking the top-three WRs on the depth chart. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on where he lands, though he is just a wait-and-see option for now. Johnson should be ignored on Draft Day.
News: Vikings coach Leslie Frazier likes what hes seen early on from WR Jaymar Johnson. I really like the way he looks," Frazier said. "Hes always had great speed, but his attitude and his approach are quite different than I remember [last year]. Im optimistic that he is going to step up and do some things not only as a WR but even on special teams."
Analysis: Johnson spent some time this offseason working out with Larry Fitzgerald and it seems the All-Pro receiver has rubbed off on the budding Vikings wideout. It's a good time for Johnson to catch his coach's attention seeing how Sidney Rice is no longer with the team. Bernard Berrian is also getting up there in age and Percy Harvin has his injury issues, so the 6-0, 176-pound Johnson might have a chance to emerge in the passing game. Clearly, Johnson doesn't have the track record to be drafted in seasonal Fantasy formats, but that could change as the preseason progresses. Stay tuned.
News: The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that Vikings WR Jaymar Johnson is among a group of players, including several from the NFL, who are training and doing drills nearly every weekday at the University of Minnesota football complex. Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has again organized the workouts.
Analysis: It's never a bad idea to work out with Fitzgerald, especially for a young WR like Johnson. He is hoping to make an impact with the Vikings this year, but he has a lot to prove first. Keep an eye on his progress during training camp, but Johnson is not worth drafting in the majority of leagues.
News: The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that the Vikings have agreed to a one-year contract with WR Jaymar Johnson. Johnson, who would have been an exclusive rights free agent, spent the 2010 season on injured reserve after suffering a broken left thumb in the Vikings' preseason opener at St. Louis. Johnson, 26, a sixth-round pick of the Vikings in 2008, spent his first season on the practice squad. He caught one pass for 9 yards in 2009 an averaged 8.4 yards on 16 punt returns. Johnson was expected to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster last season before his injury.
Analysis: Johnson will compete for a roster spot in 2011 but has minimal Fantasy value. Ignore him in all leagues on Draft Day.
News: The Vikings have waived/injured WR Jaymar Johnson with an injury. He'll spend the season on injured reserve once he clears waivers.
Analysis: The Vikings needed his spot to add a certain veteran quarterback to the roster. Johnson can be ignored in all Fantasy leagues.

Analysis: Williams only has low-end Fantasy value as an IDP option for the Vikings. Minnesota doesn't get a lot Fantasy production from any of these players listed above. Leave them all on waivers for Week 16 against the Bears.
News: The Vikings' list of inactives for Week 13 at Arizona includes QB Sage Rosenfels, WR Jaymar Johnson, DB Antoine Winfield, RB Albert Young, LB Erin Henderson, DL Fred Evans and DL Jayme Mitchell.
Analysis: Winfield is an excellent tackler for a defensive back and worth starting in IDP leagues when healthy, but he hasn't played since Week 6 because of a foot injury. None of these other players does enough statistically to make an impact in Fantasy.
News: The Vikings' list of inactives for Week 12 against the Bears includes QB Sage Rosenfels, WR Jaymar Johnson, DB Antoine Winfield, RB Albert Young, LB Erin Henderson, DL Jayme Mitchell and DL Letroy Guion.
Analysis: Winfield has some value in Fantasy IDP leagues, but he's out for a fifth straight game with a foot injury. None of these other players matters in Fantasy. Leave them on waivers.
News: Minnesota has listed the following players as inactive for Week 11 against the Seahawks: QB Sage Rosenfels (3rd QB), WR Jaymar Johnson, DB Antoine Winfield, RB Albert Young, LB Erin Henderson, DL Fred Evans and DL Jayme Mitchell.
Analysis: Winfield has the ability to play like a No. 2 Fantasy IDP option as a DB, when healthy. The rest of the players above can be left off Fantasy rosters at this time.

Analysis: Tahi typically isn't a big part of the Vikings offense and shouldn't be considered in Fantasy play. The Vikings play at the Packers in Week 8.
News: Vikings WR Jaymar Johnson, RB Jeff Dugan, WR Greg Lewis and QB Tarvaris Jackson all dressed for Minnesota's Week 6 win over the Rvens but failed to record an offensive statistic.
Analysis: None of these players are worth using in Week 7 at Pittsburgh. Keep them reserved in all leagues.
News: Vikings WR Jaymar Johnson, TE Jim Kleinsasser and RB Jeff Dugan all dressed for Minnesota's Week 5 win over the Rams but failed to record an offensive statistic.
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy appeal at the moment. Leave them all on the waiver wire until further notice.
News: Minnesota WR Jaymar Johnson was limited to returning punts in Monday night's game against the Packers in Week 4. Johnson has no catches on the season.
Analysis: Johnson will often go without stats and is just the team's punt returner. He can be ignored in most Fantasy leagues. Minnesota plays at St. Louis in Week 5.
News: The Vikings have listed QB Sage Rosenfels (third QB), WR Jaymar Johnson, WR Greg Lewis, CB Asher Allen, S Husain Abdullah, LB Erin Henderson and DT Jimmy Kennedy as inactive for Week 2 at Detroit.
Analysis: Rosenfels had a chance to be the Vikings starting QB this preseason, but when he couldn't put on a good show, Minnesota brought in Brett Favre. Now, Rosenfels is third on the depth chart. Most of these players are reserves or special teamers when active. They have little to no Fantasy value.
