Lions list inactives for Week 4

(9/28/2014) The following players were listed inactive for the Lions  in Week 4 against the Jets: Quarterback Kellen Moore, safety Don Carey, cornerback Cassius Vaughn, linebacker Travis Lewis, tackle LaAdrian Waddle, defensive end Larry Webster and tight end Joseph Fauria.

(9/26/2014) The questionable tag for premier wide receiver Calvin Johnson (ankle) highlights a lengthy injury report issued Friday by the Lions.

Those ruled out are tight end Joseph Fauria (ankle), linebacker Travis Lewis (quad) and cornerback Cassius Vaughn (ankle). Safety Don Carey (hamstring) and tackle LaAdrian Waddle (calf) are doubtful.

Fullback Montell Owens (hamstring) is the lone questionable. The probables are defensive ends Ezekiel Ansah (knee) and George Johnson (groin), running backs Joique Bell (knee) and Theo Riddick (hamstring), defensive tackle Nick Fairley (biceps) and safety James Ihedigbo (neck).

Carey injured his hamstring, and was initially ruled questionable. After being re-evaluated at halftime, it was determined Carey would not return.

Ezekiel Ansah, Nick Fairley and George Johnson may have entered the week as questionable, but all three are active. The team will also have Joique Bell and Don Carey. Bell and Carey were listed as probable, so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

(9/19/2014) The Lions defense is likely to be a bit shorthanded for Week 3 against the Packers, with three players expected to miss Sunday's game due to injuries.

Linebacker Travis Lewis (quadriceps) and defensive back Cassius Vaughn (ankle) have been ruled out for Sunday's game, while safety James Ihedigbo (neck) is doubtful and seems likely to miss the game.

Additionally, defensive linemen Ezekiel Ansah (knee), Nick Fairley (biceps) and George Johnson (groin) are considered questionable for the game, while safety Don Carey (hamstring) is probable.

(9/14/2014) The Lions' list of inactives for Week 2 at Carolina includes defensive back James Ihedigbo (neck), defensive back Don Carey (hamstring), offensive lineman LaAdrian Waddle (calf), quarterback Kellen Moore, defensive lineman Larry Webster, wide receiver Kevin Ogletree and wide receiver Ryan Broyles.

Moore, Webster, Ogletree and Broyles are all healthy scratches.

Safety Don Carey and offensive lineman LaAdrian Waddle will not play Week 2 against the Panthers. Safety James Ihedigbo is doubtful due to a neck issue. He was limited in practice all week.

(9/6/2014) Lions safety Don Carey has been ruled out for the Monday night game against the Giants with a hamstring injury. He is the lone scratch at this point, though safety James Ihedigbo is listed as doubtful.

Defensive tackle Caraun Reid (shoulder), who is probable, is the only other Detroit player in the injury report.

(9/6/2014) James Ihedigbo participated in his second straight practice Saturday for the Lions while fellow safety Don Carey sat out, per the Detroit Free Press, which is claiming the former is looking good for the Monday night game against the Giants while the latter is not.

Ihedigbo has been limited with knee and neck issues. Carey is dealing with a hamstring injury.

Fairley has been dealing with a shoulder injury, but was able to practice on a limited basis Friday. Broyles will remain out while trying to recover from an ACL injury. Leshoure is once again a healthy scratch.
