News: The Raiders have re-signed Charles Woodson, giving him a one-year deal to play safety. Woodson was originally drafted fourth overall by the Raiders in 1998.
Analysis: We'll probably see Woodson start as a safety and potentially play as a nickel cornerback. He'll turn 37 this season and hasn't been able to stay healthy for long periods of time so there's some risk in leaning on him in Fantasy. Ideally your best move is to draft him late as a Fantasy backup DB.
News: The Packers are set to release defensive back Charles Woodson after he spent seven years in Green Bay. The news first appeared on the Twitter feed for Woodson's winery -- "Thank you Green Bay it was a great run!" -- and NFL Network reported that Carl Poston, Woodson's agent, said "They're getting ready to release him. It's part of the business." Wooson, 36, spent the first eight years of his NFL career in Oakland. The former Michigan star won the Heisman Trophy in 1997 and was the fourth player taken in the 1998 NFL Draft. He's an eight-time Pro Bowler, an NFL Defensive Player of the Year as well as a Super Bowl champion. Woodson, who moved to safety late in his career after playing cornerback, has 55 interceptions and is undoubtedly a first-ballot Hall of Famer. But conversations about Canton are premature; Poston said that Woodson "Sounds like he has a lot of football left," and that his client would "like to go play for a contender, win another Super Bowl. He caught that bug."
Analysis: Woodson played in just seven games last season after suffering a broken collarbone. But given the NFL's continuing evolution as a passing league and the dearth of capable defensive backs to slow it, we're guessing Woodson won't be out of work long. Keep an eye on where he ends up, and he should remain a low-end defensive back in IDP leagues. He is worth drafting with a late-round pick.
News: The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel suggests cornerback Charles Woodson is a candidate to be cut because of the $10 million-plus price tag he'll have in 2013. A decision could come before March 12. Woodson's agent, Carl Poston, doesn't believe his client is going anywhere. "They haven't said anything to the contrary," Poston said, "so we're assuming he's going to be back."
Analysis: Woodson's numbers nosedived in 2012 thanks to him missing nine games. But even though he's getting older he has proven to be productive. Assuming he's still with the Packers we see Woodson as a worthy mid- to late-round pick in drafts, potentially as a No. 3 defensive back.

Woodson returned to practice this past week and was listed as probable on the team's injury report.
Analysis: Woodson, 36, has amassed 38 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his seven games this season while recording just one interception. The Packers could rely on him heavily during the playoffs, but is viewed as a low-end Fantasy option at this point.

"I just think having Charles Woodson back helps our football team, his experience, play-making ability," Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said. "Glad to have him back on the field."

He had seven interceptions last year, which is part of the reason why he's so widely owned in Fantasy IDP leagues, but so far this year, he has only one. Analysis: Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday the team is still discussing its emergency options. The Packers cut No. 3 quarterback Brian Brohm and signed him to the practice squad. Receiver Ruvell Martin was an emergency option in the past, but the Packers cut him. With some of the injury issues Woodson has had, the Packers aren't going to mess with him on offense in fear of losing him on defense. He could quarterback, but it would strictly be in an emergency. Woodson still should only be owned in Fantasy IDP leagues as a no worse than a No. 2 DB.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (toe) is listed as probable for Week 16 at Chicago. He took limited practice reps all week. Woodson has two sacks, one interception and one forced fumble in his last six games.
Analysis: Woodson has been bothered by the toe ailment all season, but you can hardly tell on Sundays since he plays at an All-Pro level. Continue to treat Woodson as a No. 2 Fantasy DB.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson made six tackles and a sack in a Week 15 loss at Jacksonville.
Analysis: Woodson remains a No. 3 DB in IDP leagues and should be used in Week 16 at Chicago.

Analysis: Woodson remains a No. 3 DB in IDP leagues and should be used in Week 15 at Jacksonville.
News: CB Charles Woodson had six total tackles and a forced fumble and recovery last week against the Panthers. He has been hobbled a bit by a broken toe but should play against Houston on Sunday in Week 14.
Analysis: Woodson is worth starting in IDP leagues. Get him active this week unless his status changes.
News: In the Packers' 35-31 loss vs. the Panthers in Week 13, notable defensive players included: LB A.J. Hawk (nine total tackles), DE Aaron Kampman (four total tackles, two sacks), CB Tramon Williams (four solo tackles, forced fumble) and CB Charles Woodson (six total tackles, forced fumble and recovery).
Analysis: Of these guys, all but Williams are worth starting in all IDP leagues. The Packers host the Texans in Week 14.
News: Packers LB A.J. Hawk (seven tackles), LB Brandon Chillar (seven tackles), DB Charles Woodson (sack, four tackles), DB Nick Collins (four tackles) and DL Aaron Kampman (three tackles) led the way for Green Bay in a Week 11 rout of the Bears.
Analysis: Kampman and Collins are solid top-two guys at their respective position in IDP leagues, while Hawk and Woodson are also worth starting in most Fantasy leagues. Chillar is the only one in this list with zero value heading into Week 12 at New Orleans.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson had five tackles and an interception Sunday at Minnesota.
Analysis: Woodson is a No. 2 DB in IDP leagues and should be started in all formats in Week 11 against Chicago.
News:Charles Woodson has made his mark in the NFL for more than 10 years and most recently with the Green Bay Packers the last 2 1/2 years. The 32-year-old cornerback, however, was made to feel like a rookie all over again when he went through the Packers' full practice Friday. "You've got to hear everybody talking about, 'Who's the new guy out here at practice?"' Woodson said of the playful ribbing he took from teammates. Woodson, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, hadn't participated in all phases of a practice since he broke a toe in the Packers' opening win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 8. The injury didn't prevent Woodson from playing in any games the last two months, but he had been excused from on-field work on most practice days. "Just visiting with him yesterday, he felt that he was back to where he would like to practice, instead of doing all of his work on treadmills and so forth," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said after practice Friday. "It was good for him to get some live reps today."
Analysis: Besides running on a treadmill and working out in the weight room, Woodson stayed busy away from the practice field by running in the team's training pool at Lambeau Field the last few weeks. "That helps out a great deal; it takes a lot of stress off of it," said Woodson, referring to the fractured small toe on his right foot. As far as Woodson can tell, the toe no longer is broken. "I haven't taken another X-ray in about, I guess, three or four weeks," he said. "The way it feels, it's got to be right." In a change from earlier in the season, Woodson doesn't need to wear a shoe with a hole cut out of the side, which gave the toe some relief. Woodson said, though, he would continue to wear a cast-like shield over his right shoe on gameday as a way to protect the toe from further damage. "It gets a little sore, but I guess that's to be expected," Woodson said. "But, as far as broke, I think it's good." Continue to view Woodson as a solid No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy DB.
News: In a 19-16 loss at Tennessee, notable Packers defenders include: DL Mike Montgomery (10 total tackles, sack), LBs Nick Barnett, A.J. Hawk and Brady Poppinga and DB Atari Bigby (six total tackles each) and DT Ryan Pickett (six total tackles, sack). Charles Woodson added five total tackles.
Analysis: Of the above, Barnett, Hawk, Bigby and Woodson are worth owning in IDP league play. Everyone else isn't worth holding on to. The Packers play at the Vikings in Week 10.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (toe) is listed as probable for Week 9 at Tennessee. Woodson, who took limited practice reps all week, has been hobbled by the toe injury for most of the season but hasn't missed a game.
Analysis: We are going to see Woodson on the injury report probably the rest of the season, but unless he is hobbled by a new ailment, he is expected to start every game. Woodson has four picks, two touchdowns and 12 pass defenses in 2008. He is a solid No. 2 Fantasy DB.
News: Packers cornerback Charles Woodson (toe), linebacker A.J. Hawk (groin) are probable for Week 7 vs. Indianapolis.
Analysis: Both options are good ones for IDP play, especially since both are expected to start. Keep them active, especially in moderate to deep Fantasy play.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (toe) is listed as probable for Week 6 at Seattle. Woodson only took limited practice reps, but has yet to miss a this season because of a broken toe.
Analysis: Woodson continues to land on the injury report, but has never been in jeopardy of missing a game. Until that changes, treat him as a No. 2 Fantasy DB.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson was activated for Week 5 vs. Atlanta. He had been listed as probable on the injury report with a toe injury.
Analysis: Woodson returned a Brian Griese interception for a touchdown in a Week 4 loss to the Buccaneers and has been active for every game this season. Continue to view him as a decent No. 2 Fantasy DB.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (toe) is listed as probable for Week 5 vs. Atlanta. He did not practice all week, but is expected to play on a broken toe.
Analysis: Woodson returned a Brian Griese interception for a touchdown in a Week 4 loss to the Buccaneers and has been active for every game this season. Woodson continues to play despite a broken toe and that just goes to show you how tough he is. Woodson will get time to rest during the week so he is as close to healthy for Sunday. Continue to view him as a decent No. 2 Fantasy DB.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (toe) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday as the team prepares for Week 5 vs. Atlanta. Woodson returned a Brian Griese interception for a touchdown in a Week 4 loss to the Buccaneers and has been active for every game this season.
Analysis: Woodson continues to play despite a broken toe and that just goes to show you how tough he is. Woodson will get time to rest during the week so he is as close to healthy for Sunday. Continue to view him as a decent No. 2 Fantasy DB.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson returned a Brian Griese interception for a touchdown in a Week 4 loss to the Buccaneers. He also made three tackles in the game.
Analysis: Woodson is a low-end Fantasy DB in IDP leagues and is getting up there in age. He could be a decent bye-week replacement in Week 5 against the Falcons, though.
News: Following a course of action the previous two weeks, Packers DB Charles Woodson didn't practice the entire week to rest a broken right toe. He is probable to play Week 4 at Tampa Bay. Coach Mike McCarthy said Woodson's insistence on playing every week with the injury, which he suffered in the Sept. 8 opener, interferes with the healing process. "As far as the bone improving, it's obviously going to take a lot longer than a normal fracture because he keeps playing on it," McCarthy said. "I don't know if he's staying about the same or slightly improving, but I know he's really uncomfortable (after a game) until at least Wednesday."
Analysis: Woodson is expected to play Sunday. He has seven tackles, six pass defenses, two interceptions and one touchdown in 2008. Woodson is a low-end Fantasy DB.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (toe) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday as the team prepares for Week 4 at Tampa Bay. Woodson has dressed for all three games despite dealing with a broke toe.
Analysis: Woodson might get a few days to rest during the week, but he is expected to play Sunday. He has seven tackles, six pass defenses, two interceptions and one touchdown in 2008. Woodson is a low-end Fantasy DB.
News: The Green Bay Packers should be in good shape for their Sunday night game against Dallas, listing running back Ryan Grant and cornerback Charles Woodson as probable on the injury report. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said after practice Friday that Grant and Woodson would play Sunday. Woodson didn't practice the entire week to rest a broken right toe, but he was on a similar schedule last week and responded with one of the best performances of his 11-year pro career. Woodson intercepted two passes late in the game, returning the second for a touchdown to seal the Packers' 48-25 win at Detroit. "I'd be surprised if he doesn't (play Sunday)," McCarthy said.
Analysis: McCarthy added he's never coached a player who had the resilience of Woodson to miss significant time in practice because of injury and manage to play so well. "To do it off of the film study and the meetings and the walkthroughs and things like that, I haven't seen anybody perform at that level," McCarthy said. "He's also experienced, too. He has a ton of experience and is a very smart football player. But, the ability to pull it all together and deal with the pain threshold and things like that, I think it's very unique what he's been able to do." Woodson didn't play in the Packers' late-season loss at Dallas last year after injuring a different toe in the previous game. Still, consider him a No. 2 Fantasy DB for Week 3.
News: Packers SS Atari Bigby is out for Week 3 vs. Dallas with a hamstring injury while CB Charles Woodson is probable for the game with a broken toe. Oddly enough, both players didn't practice all week.
Analysis: Bigby should remain benched or on waivers in leagues while Woodson shouldn't be counted on for a huge game since he'll be playing hurt.
News: After helping the Green Bay Packers turn a blown lead into a big victory at Detroit on Sunday, cornerback Charles Woodson wasn't basking in the two interceptions he made or looking for a pat on the back for the fact that he did so with a broken toe. Instead of gloating about the touchdown he scored, Woodson was beating himself up about the one he gave up to Detroit wide receiver Calvin Johnson. Woodson tried to break up the pass but Johnson made a juggling catch. "I don't know if I hit his hand or the ball, I'm not sure," Woodson said. "I should've picked it. I got two interceptions, but that's what I think about."
Analysis: A safety on a botched punt by the Packers and another touchdown catch by Johnson allowed the Lions to take a 25-24 lead with 7:41 left in the game. But Woodson played a major role in making sure the Lions' momentum didn't last, picking off a pair of passes and running one back for a touchdown as the Packers reeled off 24 straight points in the final 5:17 of the game to win 48-25 and start the season 2-0. Not bad for a 31-year-old guy who sat out practice last week because of the broken toe that continues to bother him. Woodson said the injury still hurts, and he wasn't sure what his availability would be for practice this week. Head coach Mike McCarthy said team doctor Pat McKenzie didn't think Woodson made the injury any worse by playing on Sunday. "Dr. McKenzie felt that he came out of the game fine, that there wasn't any further damage," McCarthy said. "So we'll see how he feels Wednesday morning." If healthy Week 3 against Dallas, consider Woodson a decent No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy DB.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson had two tackles, two interceptions and one touchdown Sunday at Detroit.
Analysis: Woodson is good for games like this every now and then. Still, he's too inconsistent so don't plan on using him in Week 3 against Dallas.
News: Packers CB Charles Woodson ended 2007 with 63 total tackles, four interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), nine passes defensed and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown).
Analysis: Woodson's tackle numbers leave a little to be desired, but considering that he's a cornerback, that's not so bad. Figure Woodson to be a No. 3 Fantasy DB worth a late-round pick in deeper leagues this summer.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (knee) went through limited practice reps Wednesday and Thursday as the team prepares for the NFC Championship game vs. the N.Y. Giants. Woodson, who has been bothered by knee and toe injuries this season, took the field against the Seahawks in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
Analysis: Woodson was a staple on the injury report this season either due to a leg or foot problem, but played in 14 games and managed 63 tackles to go along with four interceptions. He should play against the Giants and that makes a viable Fantasy DB in postseason formats. Woodson will be either a No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy DB in 2008.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (toe) did not practice Wednesday, but returned to limited practice reps Thursday as the team prepares for a Divisional Playoff game vs. Seattle. Woodson has been bothered by the toe injury for several weeks, but only sat out the last game of the season since the Packers already locked up the second seed in the playoffs.

News: The Packers have listed TE Donald Lee as inactive for Week 17 against Detroit. Also inactive are QB Aaron Rodgers (3rd QB), DB Charles Woodson, RB Korey Hall, DL Aaron Kampman and DL Ryan Pickett.
Analysis: The Packers are getting ready for the playoffs, which is why Lee, Kampman and Woodson are inactive. Keep all of these players reserved for Week 17 and expect them to be on the field for the playoffs, which will begin in two weeks for the Packers following their bye.
News: The toe injury that has affected Packers CB Charles Woodson for much of the season again limited him in practice Wednesday and Thursday, and kept him off the field on Friday as the team prepares for Week 17 against the Lions. He has only missed one game this season but is considered doubtful for Sunday.
Analysis: Woodson has only four interceptions this season, making him a less-than-desirable Fantasy CB. Expect to be without him for Week 17. Keep him off of Fantasy rosters.
News: Packers CB Charles Woodson (toe) is listed as probable for Week 16 at Chicago. Woodson was limited in practice all week. He has 57 tackles, four interceptions and two touchdowns in 13 games.
Analysis: Woodson has been limited in practice pretty much all season, but has only missed one game. He has had some injury-riddled seasons during his career, but is a decent Fantasy DB when healthy. He is expected to face the Bears.

News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (toe) is listed as questionable for Week 14 vs. Oakland. He went through limited practice reps all week. Woodson was inactive for Week 13 against the Cowboys.
Analysis: Woodson has been battling some injury pretty much the entire season, but has missed just one game. He has had plenty of time to rest since he last took the field, but the Packers aren't going to rush him back. Continue to follow his progress. If healthy, he is a solid No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy DB.

News: Packers DB Charles Woodson tested his injured toe at practice on Tuesday, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, but coach Mike McCarthy said he would be "extremely cautious" with his veteran DB the rest of this week.
Analysis: Woodson will certainly want to play against his old team, the Raiders, in Week 14, but toes are difficult injuries and the Packers will certainly want Woodson to be as near to 100 percent as possible for their playoff run. Keep an eye on his status the rest of this week, as he might be declared out before Sunday.
News: Packers WR Shaun Bodiford, CB Charles Woodson, DB Aaron Rouse, DB Marviel Underwood, TE Bubba Franks, DL Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila and DL Johnny Jolly are all inactive for Week 13 at Dallas.
Analysis: The Packers receive a huge blow defensively without Woodson or Gbaja-Biamila in the lineup against the Cowboys. Perhaps it is wise to use another Fantasy DST Week 13. Both players have Fantasy value in IDP leagues when healthy. The remaining inactive players have very little to no Fantasy value when active. Keep them reserved Week 13.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (toe) is listed as questionable for Week 13 at Dallas. He went through a limited practice Tuesday and the team did not practice Wednesday. He will be a game-time decision.

News: CB Charles Woodson left Thursday's game at Detroit in the second quarter with a toe injury.Woodson jogged off the field, underwent X-rays and didn't return. "It's not broken, but it hurts," he said after Green Bay beat the Lions 37-26. "It's my big toe on my right foot. I did the same thing on my other foot once in Oakland." Woodson said it was too early to determine his status for Thursday's game at Dallas. His departure forced Green Bay to play without two starting defensive backs, Woodson and free safety Nick Collins, who was inactive because of a knee injury.
Analysis: Woodson is a standout corner on a stellar defense, so his absence can make a difference. He didn't return to the game after getting hurt on a punt return. He's worth using as a No. 2 or 3 DB in IDP formats when he's healthy.

Woodson has been bothered by a foot injury all season, but has yet to miss a game. He has 38 tackles, two interceptions and two touchdowns in eight games.
Analysis: Woodson's foot injury might have something to do with his drop in production, but it mostly has to do with teams respecting him as a player. Woodson is a No. 3 Fantasy DB heading into Week 10, but can be worth much more.

Hawk (eight total tackles), DB Jarrett Bush (six solo tackles), DT Ryan Pickett (five solo tackles, sack), CB Charles Woodson (seven total tackles), DB Atari Bigby (four total tackles, interception, forced fumble), DE Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (three solo hits, two sacks, forced fumble) and DE Aaron Kampman (two tackles, sack).

Analysis: Woodson is a good DB and should be used in Week 4 against Minnesota's weak passing game.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (hip) is listed as probable for Week 3 vs. San Diego. Woodson went through a limited practice workout Friday after not participating at all on Wednesday and Thursday.
Analysis: Woodson is coming off an eight-interception season in 2006, but has yet to get his first pick in 2007. Perhaps teams are getting wise and not throwing to his side anymore. He is nothing more than a possible low-end Fantasy flier when healthy. It appears as though despite limited work during the week, Woodson will play Sunday.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson missed a second straight day of practice Thursday with a hip injury. The Packers host the Chargers in Week 3.

News: According to The Sports Xchange, Packers DB Charles Woodson, likewise, was in the starting lineup against the Seahawks and played one quarter after being kept out of the first game because of a sore hamstring.
Analysis: Woodson should be considered a No. 3 DB in IDP leagues and hopefully he'll be 100 percent to start the season. He could be a useful reserve in most larger Fantasy leagues.
News:The Sports Xchange reports that CB Charles Woodson also didn't play because of a sore left hamstring. Patrick Dendy started in Woodson's absence on the left side.
Analysis: Woodson doesn't deliver a load of tackles like other DBs. Consider him a No. 3 Fantasy DB or a good reserve to own in deeper leagues.
News: Packers CB Charles Woodson had a monster year, totaling 59 total tackles (48 solo), one sack, one fumble recovery, 12 passes defensed and eight interceptions (a career-high), one of which was returned for a touchdown.
Analysis: In his first year out of Oakland, Woodson had himself quite a year. He's going to be hard to trust for Fantasy use since he has turned in some really bad seasons, especially from 2001 to 2005. He also doesn't deliver a load of tackles like other DBs. Consider him a No. 3 Fantasy DB or a good reserve to own in deeper leagues.
News: The Packers DST scored two touchdowns against the Bears when DB Nick Collins and DB Patrick Dendy returned a pair of interceptions. The Packers had five interceptions, two sacks and recovered a fumble. Collins finished with six tackles and two interceptions. Dendy finished with two tackles. DL Corey Williams had a sack. DL Ryan Pickett had one tackle and recovered a fumble.
Analysis: The Packers DST improved dramatically as the season came to a close. Consider them a No. 2 option in 2007 and a decent sleeper heading into next year.
News: Despite the Green Bay Packers' recent improvement on defense, DB Charles Woodson isn't satisfied. The Packers have won three straight games - against non-playoff teams San Francisco and Minnesota - and have a chance to finish the season with a .500 record and even a shot at the postseason going into the regular season finale. However, Woodson doesn't believe success against struggling teams means there's been a dramatic turnaround. "It's been improvement, but we're nowhere near where we can be," Woodson said. Woodson said it would have been easy for players to lose focus and give up on the season after the 38-10 loss at home to the Jets on Dec. 3. But they didn't, and now they have something to play for.
Analysis: Woodson is a solid No. 2 DB in IDP leauges and should stay that way in 2007.
News: Notable names on the Packers Week 17 injury report include: LB Abdul Hodge (shoulder, questionable), DB Atari Bigby (hamstring, questionable), TE David Martin (rib, questionable) and CB Charles Woodson (shoulder, probable).
Analysis: In IDP leagues, Woodson is an option as a No. 3 DB in deeper leagues and Hodge is a keeper option for 2007 league play. Everyone else on the list should not be on active Fantasy rosters in Week 16.
News: Notable names on the Packers Week 16 injury report include: LB Abdul Hodge (shoulder, questionable), WR Ruvell Martin (chest, questionable), DB Atari Bigby (hamstring, questionable), TE David Martin (rib, questionable), CB Charles Woodson (shoulder, probable) and DE Aaron Kampman (illness, probable).
Analysis: In IDP leagues, Kampman is a must-start when healthy (he should play) and Woodson is an option as a No. 3 DB in deeper leagues. Everyone else on the list should not be on active Fantasy rosters in Week 16.
News: On Wednesday, the Packers released the following players on their injury report for Week 15 vs. Detroit: DE Michael Montgomery (knee) is out for the game; DB Atari Bigby (hamstring), WR Donald Driver (shoulder), TE David Martin (ribs), WR Ruvell Martin (chest) and LB Ben Taylor (hamstring) are questionable -- only D. Martin and Taylor practiced on Wednesday. RB Ahman Green (knee) and CB Charles Woodson (shoulder) are probable and missed practice Wednesday as part of their weekly schedule.
Analysis: Expect Green and Woodson to play. Martin should also play and be useful as a No. 2 Fantasy TE. WR Driver is a No. 1 option when he is healthy, so owners should watch his status throughout the week. Everyone else shouldn't be on a Fantasy roster.
News: The Packers DST got two interceptions and a fumble recovery against the 49ers. DB Nick Collins had six tackles and an interception. LB A.J. Hawk had five tackles and an interception. LB Nick Barnett had six tackles. DB Charles Woodson had two tackles and a fumble recovery. DL Aaron Kampman had five tackles and a half-sack. DL Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila had one tackle. DL Cullen Jenkins had two tackles and a half-sack.
Analysis: The Packers DST should not be used in Week 15 against Detroit but use all regular IDP players as needed.
News: The Packers have named the following people on their injury report: TE David Martin (ribs), RB P.J. Pope (hamstring) and LB Ben Taylor (hamstring) as questionable; LB Nick Barnett (hand), CB Patrick Dendy (concussion), RB Ahman Green (knee), RB Noah Herron (ankle) and CB Charles Woodson (shoulder) as probable. Of this group, Martin, Green and Woodson did not practice on Wednesday.
Analysis: Of Martin, Pope and Taylor, only Martin would receive consideration in the deepest of Fantasy leagues at this point when healthy. Everyone probable should be expected to play at San Francisco in Week 14, but only Green and Barnett should be used for Fantasy purposes.
News: Green Bay DB Charles Woodson pulled in his fifth interception of the season against the Jets, tying his career high set during his rookie season in 1998 with Oakland.
Analysis: Consider Woodson a solid No. 2 DB in IDP leagues and expect a solid game in Week 14 against the 49ers.
News: Notable Packers defenders from Week 13 vs. the Jets include: LB A.J. Hawk (eight solo tackles), DB Nick Collins (nine total tackles, forced fumble), LB Nick Barnett (11 total tackles) and DB Marquand Manuel (seven total tackles). CB Charles Woodson and DB Patrick Dendy each had an interception.
Analysis: Of these players, Hawk, Barnett and Collins are must-starts in IDP leagues, with Manuel an option in deeper formats. Use them at San Francisco in Week 14.
News: Packers LB Ben Taylor (hamstring) is doubtful, TE David Martin (ribs), RB P.J. Pope (hamstring) and LB Nick Barnett (hand) are questionable, while DL Cullen Jenkins (Illness) and DB Charles Woodson (shoulder) is listed as probable for Week 13 vs. N.Y. Jets.
Analysis: Barnett and Woodson should be the only players worth using for Fantasy purposes in Week 13. Keep an eye on their status as the week progresses. Ignore the other injured players at this time.
News: Charles Woodson (shoulder) was able to play in Week 12 at Seattle. He had three solo tackles, one assist, two interceptions and three passes defensed.
Analysis: Woodson is a decent low-end Fantasy IDP option for Week 13 against the Jets.
News: Packers DB Will Blackmon (ribs) and LB Ben Taylor (hamstring) are doubtful, while DB Charles Woodson (shoulder), RB Brandon Miree (elbow), LB Tracy White (knee) and DL Cullen Jenkins (ankle) are listed as questionable for Week 12 at Seattle.
Analysis: Only Woodson is worth using in Fantasy leagues when healthy. Keep an eye on his status leading up to Sunday. Ignore the other injured players for Fantasy purposes in Week 12.
News: The Packers DST gave up 35 points against New England with two sacks and one fumble recovery. LB A.J. Hawk had 12 tackles and recovered a fumble. DB Marquand Manuel had 10 tackles. DL Colin Cole had seven tackles and a sack. DB Nick Collins had four tackles. DL Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila had four tackles and a sack. DB Charles Woodson had four tackles. DL Aaron Kampman had five tackles. LB Nick Barnett had three tackles. And DB Al Harris had four tackles.
Analysis: The Packers DST should not be used in Week 12 against Seattle. Use all IDP players as needed.
News: Packers DL Cullen Jenkins (ankle) and DB Charles Woodson (knee) are listed as probable for Week 11 vs. New England.
Analysis: Woodson is worth using as a low-end Fantasy DB when healthy, but Jenkins has no Fantasy value in IDP leagues.
News: Packers DB Charles Woodson (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 10 at Minnesota.
Analysis: Woodson was able to give it a go in Week 9 against the Bills after much doubt he wouldn't be able to play. Being listed on the injury report is just a precaution, but monitor his status the rest of the week before using Woodson in IDP leagues for Week 10.
News: Flashing a big thumbs-up, cornerback Charles Woodson apparently likes his chances of playing Sunday, when the Green Bay Packers play at Buffalo. The likelihood that Woodson, who has been nursing a bruised left knee, will be cleared for the game increased Friday when he practiced for the first time this week. Afterward, the team upgraded the four-time Pro Bowler from doubtful to questionable on the injury report. "He looked pretty good, even with limited reps. We're hopeful he'll go Sunday," coach Mike McCarthy said. "Post-practice treatment will tell us about it, but he looked like he felt fine."
Analysis: Woodson aggravated the injury in the 31-14 victory over Arizona last Sunday. He landed awkwardly after leaping to try to break up a deep pass in the first quarter. If Woodson does play against the Bills, he'll be limited to playing defense. He would be a decent No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy DB, if he were to play.
News: Packers FB Brandon Miree (elbow) has been downgraded to our for Week 9 at Buffalo. In addition, DT Johnny Jolly (ankle) was downgraded to questionable while CB Charles Woodson (knee) was upgraded to questionable. Woodson did practice Friday.
Analysis: None of these players do enough to warrant use in Fantasy Football play, including Woodson.
News: Packers WR Charles Woodson (knee) is listed as doubtful for Week 9 at Buffalo. Woodson played Sunday against the Cardinals but left in the first quarter with a knee injury. He later returned and had an interception in the game.
Analysis: It looks as though Woodson playing on an injured knee might have increased the severity of the injury. This couldn't have come at worst time. Woodson is coming off back-to-back spectacular performances, where he had an interception in both games -- his first two of the season. He was finally regaining the form that made him one of the most feared cornerbacks in the league when he was in Oakland. Consider Woodson a longshot to play in Week 9 against the Bills, but do keep an eye on his injury status as the week goes on. He would be a decent No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy DB, if he were to play.
News: The Packers will need time and further testing to determine how serious the injuries are to three players. RB Brandon Miree hyperextended his left elbow, TE David Martin received an X-ray for a hit on his jaw, and RB Vernand Morency did something to his lower back that McCarthy considered "a concern." McCarthy wasn't sure right after the game if Martin might have suffered a broken jaw. Miree was hurt on a tackle by Arizona linebacker Gerald Hayes. Also, DB Charles Woodson left with a left knee injury in the first quarter but returned to play, as did DL Corey Williams, who left in the second quarter with a right knee injury but returned. WR Donald Driver hurt his ankle in the fourth quarter but it isn't considered serious. DB Nick Collins left for some time with cramps.
Analysis: Driver's injury doesn't appear serious, so consider him a safe start for Week 9 against Buffalo. Keep an eye on Morency before putting him in your lineup, although don't expect another 100-yard rushing day as long as Ahman Green remains healthy. As for the other injured players, continue to monitor their status throughout the week.
News: The Packers DST had four sacks against Arizona and gave up 14 points. DL Aaron Kampman had two sacks and eight tackles. LB Nick Barnett had five tackles and a sack. DL Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila had three tackles and a half-sack. And DL Colin Cole had five tackles and a half-sack. DB Charles Woodson had an interception. LB A.J. Hawk had eight tackles.
Analysis: It was a good day for the Packers DST and consider them a good sleeper candidate for Week 9 against Buffalo. Use their IDP players if needed and consider them good starts.
News: The Packers DST scored a touchdown against Miami when DB Charles Woodson returned an interception for a score. Woodson also added six tackles and a sack. LB Nick Barnett also had an interception and nine tackles. LB A.J. Hawk had 12 tackles and a sack. LB Brady Poppinga had an interception. DL Aaron Kampman had three tackles and a sack. And DL Mike Montgomery had a tackle and a sack.
Analysis: The Packers are not a good DST option any week. Use these IDP players if needed next week.
News: According to GreenBayPackers.com, Packers DB Charles Woodson practiced for the first time Friday since injuring his knee in Week 5 against the Rams. Head coach Mike McCarthy said he's "hopeful" Woodson will be able to play Sunday.
Analysis: Woodson is a decent low-end IDP Fantasy option when healthy.
News: Packers CB Charles Woodson, as expected, didn't practice Wednesday because of a sore quadriceps, and his availability for Sunday is up in the air. McCarthy said Woodson would be further evaluated Thursday before a determination is made on his playing status. He's questionable for the game. The defense would figure to be at a major disadvantage if Woodson can't go because it would have an inexperienced replacement at left cornerback. The options are second-year Patrick Dendy and rookie Will Blackmon, who's bidding to make his long-awaited pro debut. Blackmon was sidetracked at the outset of the season by complications from a broken foot he sustained in May. He returned to practice on a full-time basis last week but suffered a shin injury related to the foot and is questionable for Sunday. McCarthy acknowledged Wednesday that he's leery about giving Blackmon a significant role in his first outing because of the limited work for the fourth-round draft pick.
Analysis: The Packers defense was in trouble before the Woodson news came down, now they could be heading toward the self-destruct button without him in the secondary. The Packers DST is a poor play regardless, even with the struggling Dolphins offense coming to town for Week 7.
News: Packers LB Abdul Hodge (knee), DL Cullen Jenkins (ankle), LB Ben Taylor (hamstring) are listed as doubtful, while DB Will Blackmon (shin), RB William Henderson (calf) and DB Charles Woodson (knee) are listed as questionable for Week 7 at Miami.
Analysis: None of these players will help Fantasy owners anytime soon. Keep them away from your active Fantasy lineup.
News: Head coach Mike McCarthy told Packers.com that DB Charles Woodson will be listed as questionable for Week 7 at Miami due to an injury to his knee and ribs.
Analysis: Barring any setbacks, Woodson is a decent low-end IDP Fantasy option once the team returns from its bye week.
News: The Packers gave up 353 yards passing against Saints QB Drew Brees in a loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Despite several good individual performances by DB Nick Collins (eight tackles), LB A.J. Hawk (seven tackles), DB Charles Woodson (seven tackles, one fumble recovery), DL Aaron Kampman (four tackles, three sacks and two fumble recoveries), DL Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (two tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery) and LB Nick Barnett (four tackles), the Packers are not a good start in any league.
News: The Green Bay Packers have signed CB Charles Woodson to a seven-year contract. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the team could use him as a cornerback and a wide receiver in certain offensive sets.
Analysis: Woodson has been prone to injuries and a bit overrated at the pro level, but he's a nice addition for a Packers defense that should be improved next season. He'll be worth a late-round selection in IDP leagues.
News: NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that CB Charles Woodson is expected to make a decision on his playing future in a couple of days. Green Bay and Tampa Bay are the two likely destinations, with Green Bay hoping they've done enough to lure him.
Analysis: Woodson is no longer a clutch shutdown cornerback, and for Fantasy purposes, he's not especially helpful. Injuries have been a big problem with him, and he's never been a monster statistically (though he has had some good seasons). Woodson could be worth a flier since some opponents will try to throw at him, but there are better DB options in IDP leagues.
News: The Green Bay Gazette reports that free-agent CB Charles Woodson was expected to visit the Packers, but those plans may change. Woodson has already visited with the Buccaneers, and for now those two teams are the only ones to have shown interest.

Injuries have been a big problem with him, and he's never been a monster statistically (though he has had some good seasons). Analysis: Woodson should be released in seasonal IDP leagues.
News: Raiders CB Charles Woodson (fibula) is still listed as out on the team's Week 14 injury report. The team is still not sure if he will return to play at all this year.
Analysis: Woodson should be released in seasonal IDP leagues.
News: The Chronicle reports Raiders head coach Norv Turner is unsure if Charles Woodson (fibula) will return this season. "He's in here working. He is getting better," Turner said. "That's hard for me to answer. The only reason I'd say that is, until he gets out and does something more rigorous, then you can find out how far along he is."
Analysis: At this point in time, Woodson has no value in IDP leagues.
News: Raiders CB Charles Woodson has a broken right leg that won't require surgery, head coach Norv Turner said. He broke the same leg in 2002 -- slightly lower on the fibula -- and missed three games before returning for the playoffs.
Analysis: The Raiders defense wasn't a solid Fantasy option anyway, so don't consider them now that Woodson is out.
News: Previously disgruntled cornerback Charles Woodson not only showed up to Oakland's recent minicamp, but was active and happy to be there, says the San Francisco Chronicle. "We've had him during the offseason, and we'll have him the entire training camp," head coach Norv Turner said. "So that can only help us."
Analysis: Playing on a one-year contract, Woodson could be poised to work hard and return to the form he once had. He's worth the gamble as a middle-to-late round pick in IDP leagues.
News: The San Francisco Chronicle reports the Raiders have franchised Charles Woodson.
Analysis: Expect the team to put Woodson on the trade block this offseason.
News: The San Jose Mercury News reports Charles Woodson practiced on Monday, and coach Norv Turner expects him to be at full strength for Week 11.
Analysis: Woodson suffered a hip injury against New Orleans on Oct. 24, played less than a half against San Diego and was limited to nickel-back duties against Carolina.
News: According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Charles Woodson (hip) was unable to practice on Thursday and remains doubtful for Week 9 at Carolina.
Analysis: Owners should make plans to reserve Woodson for Week 9.
News: Woodson (hip) was able to play in Week 8 at San Diego. He had four solo tackles, assisted on two others and forced a fumble.
Analysis: It appears safe to get Woodson back into the active lineup in all IDP leagues.
News: According to the San Francisco Chronicle , Charles Woodson had an MRI exam on his sore left hip that revealed nothing more than a painful hip pointer. The cornerback did not practice Wednesday and is listed as doubtful on the injury report for Week 8 against the Chargers in San Diego. However, coach Norv Turner hasn't ruled Woodson out. "I would have to wait, to see what he's able to do (Thursday)," said Turner. "In talking to Charles, he feels good about his chances of being able to play."
Analysis: If Woodson can't go, either Denard Walker or Nnamdi Asomugha would take over at left cornerback for Week 8.
News: Charles Woodson ended his 33-day contract holdout on Tuesday and reported to the Oakland Raiders training facility. Due to his contract, coach Norv Turner said the team's exclusive franchise player won't start in the season opener on Sept. 12.
Analysis: Woodson signed a one-year deal for $8,782,400. The Pro Bowl corner should be drafted in all leagues that use individual defensive players although teams should be prepared to reserve him for Week 1 if he does not start.
News: Due to his contract holdout, now 33 days long, Oakland cornerback Charles Woodson won't start in the season opener on Sept. 12 when he does finally report to the team. "His role will change if and when he gets here," said coach Norv Turner. "It gets harder every day. Again, not having been around Charles and him not being familiar with the defense, it does make it each day more difficult. Certainly each day it would make the role he would have more and more limited. ... I was hoping I'd see him three weeks ago, and the hope builds."
Analysis: Woodson should be drafted in all leagues that use individual defensive players although teams should be prepared to reserve him for Week 1 if he does not start.
News: Pro Bowl corner Charles Woodson announced he will end his holdout and report to the Oakland Raiders next week.
Analysis: Now the question is whether Woodson can be ready to play by the opening weekend. Coach Norv Turner has said that may not be possible give that Woodson has missed all of training camp and there is a new defensive system in place.
News: According to the San Francisco Chronicle, new Oakland coach Norv Turner thinks the holdout of Charles Woodson may jeopardize his chances of starting week one of the regular season. "Obviously the longer it goes the harder it is," Turner said. "I've been in situations where a guy came in in a week and could contribute and play. But that was a situation where the guy had been in the same system and knew the calls, knew everything. Obviously when Charles gets here it's going to be harder. It's all new for him."
Analysis: This may be a ploy by Turner to get Woodson back with the Raiders since he has missed the entire training camp. Either way, he should be used in all individual defender leagues.
News: According to the San Francisco Chronicle, now that training camp is over, Charles Woodson should be close to signing with the Raiders.
Analysis: Woodson shouldn't miss any regular season games and should be drafted in all leagues that use individual defensive positions.
News: Oakland cornerback Charles Woodson has yet to show up to training camp due to his holdout. He has missed the first two weeks but the Raiders still believe they will have him signed before the start of the regular season, according to the Contra Costa Times.
Analysis: Sitting out the entire preseason has become vogue in the NFL for players that get the "franchise player" tag, as Woodson did this past offseason. No reason to think he won't be ready to go week one of the regular season.
News: Four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Charles Woodson may be a lengthy holdout this season as he tries to get a long-term deal from the Raiders.
Analysis: Woodson, who Oakland slapped the "franchise player" tag on this past February, could make about $8.8 million this season if he signed a one-year deal. Apparently the corner is willing to sit a wait for a longer-term contract.
News: According to reports, Woodson has been tagged as the Raiders' franchise player.
Analysis: Woodson remains a good option for Fantasy owners in leagues that use individual defenders.
