Two hurt defenders on Tampa inactive list

(12/29/2013) Safety Mark Barron (hamstring) and linebacker Dekoda Watson are two of the injured Buccaneers on the Sunday inactive report.

Others on the list are linebacker Ka'Lial Glaud, defensive tackle Matthew Masifilo, guard Carl Nicks, running back Lonnie Pryor and defensive end Scott Solomon.


Buccaneers reveal inactives for Week 16

(12/22/2013) Among the Buccaneers inactives for Week 16 against the Rams, three are sidelined as a result of injuries. Offensive lineman Carl Nicks (foot), defensive lineman Da'Quan Bowers (knee) and defensive back Mark Barron (hamstring) headline the team's inactive list.

Additionally, linebacker Danny Lansanah, defensive lineman Matthew Masifilo , running back Lonnie Pryor and offensive lineman Patrick Omameh are all out of uniform Sunday.

(11/24/2013) The Buccaneers are fairly healthy heading into their Sunday game against the Lions. The lone injuries on their inactive list belong to guard Carl Nicks (staph infection surgery) and linebacker Mason Foster (concussion).

The healthy scratches are defensive tackle Gary Gibson, safety Dashon Goldson (suspended), defensive end Steven Means, guard Patrick Omameh and running back Lonnie Pryor.


Bucs rule out two players

(11/22/2013) The Buccaneers have ruled out LB Mason Foster and OL Carl Nicks Week 12 against the Lions.

Foster has been dealing with a concussion, and was unable to return to practice. Nicks has only played two games this year due to a foot issue.

(10/23/2013) The Buccaneers released a long injury report for Thursday's game against Carolina. Guard Carl Nicks (foot) and running back Jeff Demps (groin) have been ruled out along with running back Doug Martin (shoulder). 

Safety Dashon Goldson (knee) and wideout Chris Owusu (foot) are questionable, along with receiver Mike Williams (hamstring).

The probables include corner Michael Adams (knee), safety Mark Barron (hip), defensive end Da'Quan Bowers (toe), tight end Tom Crabtree (ankle), guard Davin Joseph (knee), defensive lineman Akeem Spence (wrist) and safety Keith Tandy (concussion).

Demps has been dealing with a groin injury, and was held out of practice all week. Nicks is still dealing with a foot injury, and has played in two games this season.

In addition, cornerback Michael Adams (knee), tight end Tom Crabtree (ankle), cornerback Rashaan Melvin (hamstring) and fullback Erik Long (calf) did not dress for Sunday's game because of injuries. Quarterback Dan Orlovsky, defensive end William Gholston, defensive end Steven Means, running back Peyton Hillis and defensive tackle Chris Jones were healthy inactives.

Lawrence Tynes, Carl Nicks recovering from staph infections

(8/27/2013) Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano said guard Carl Nicks and kicker Lawrence Tynes are progressing in their recoveries from staph infections.

"They’re responding well," Schiano said, per ESPN. "Carl, I know more about because he’s here. Carl’s healing up. Timeline, I don’t know. I can’t put a definite date on it. But he is healing, he’s recovering. Lawrence, he’s not in town. But everything that can be done is being done to make sure everybody recovers."


Report: Lawrence Tynes' infection motivated Rian Lindell signing

(8/22/2013) The Buccaneers signed placekicker Rian Lindell on Wednesday because starter Lawrence Tynes was forced to undergo toe surgery due to an MRSA outbreak at the facility, according to Fox Sports. Guard Carl Nicks is also fighting the infection.
