Kyle Arrington to have groin surgery Friday

(2/6/2014) Patriots cornerback Kyle Arrington, who played through a groin injury most of last season, is set to have surgery Friday, reports the team's website. Arrington had 62 tackles, two sacks, an interception and two forced fumbles while not missing a game.

He's expected to be ready for training camp.

The offensive players on that list are wide receiver Danny Amendola (groin), quarterback Tom Brady (shoulder), running back Shane Vereen (groin) and offensive linemen Logan Mankins and Will Svitek, both with ankle injuries.

While defensive backs Steve Gregory (finger) and Aqib Talib (hip) were probable and expected to play, three players had to overcome more serious issues to take the field.

Defensive backs Kyle Arrington (groin) and Alfonzo Dennard (knee, shoulder), along with linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee) are all in uniform in Miami, despite being limited at times in practice and considered questionable for the game.
