TItans unveil injury report for Houston game

(10/24/2014) Titans quarterback Jake Locker was a full participant in practice Friday and will be probable for Week 8 against the Texans. Locker will likely serve as a backup to Zach Mettenberger on Sunday.

Coty Sensabaugh (knee) and Taylor Thompson (knee) were labeled doubtful, while Quentin Groves (ankle) was deemed questionable. Meanwhile, Shonn Greene (hamstring) and Ropati Pitoitua (hand) were ruled probable, along with Locker.

(10/20/2014) Titans defensive end Ropati Pitoitua, who underwent surgery to repair a broken finger earlier in the month, will visit a specialist on Tuesday about creating a cast for his finger. Pitoitua suffered the injury Week 6 and was inactive against Washington Week 7.

The Titans will host the Texans Week 8.

(10/3/2014) The Titans are in good health with their Week 5 game against Cleveland on the horizon. Most of the players on their Friday injury report have been deemed probable, including quarterback Jake Locker (wrist) and tight end Delanie Walker (shoulder).

Also probable are defensive tackle Jurrell Casey (foot) and defensive end Ropati Pitoitua (knee). Tight end Taylor Thompson (knee) is doubtful while cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson (concussion) is questionable.

Included are quarterback Jake Locker (wrist) and tight end Delanie Walker (shoulder), both of whom are questionable. Also on the list are defensive end Ropati Pitoitua (knee) and tight end Taylor Thompson (knee), both of whom are doubtful. Linebacker James Anderson (thigh) is probable.


Ropati Pitoitua lands three-year deal

(3/7/2014) The Titans agreed to a new three-year deal with defensive end Ropati Pitoitua on Thursday, the same day his son, Ryder, was born.

Per The Tennessean, Pitoitua will land $9.6 million over the deal with a $2.175 million signing bonus.

Pitoitua is a run-stopping defensive lineman with the Titans; he's totaled 95 tackles and seven sacks over the last two seasons. 


Titans defense mostly healthy Sunday

Defensive end Ropati Pitoitua (calf), defensive back Tommie Campbell (shoulder), safety Michael Griffin (quad) and tackle David Stewart (shoulder) are all questionable. Linebacker Zaviar Gooden (hamstring) is probable.

A calf problem also prevented defensive end Ropati Pitoitua from working on Friday. Their statuses for the game Sunday against visiting Jacksonville will be clearer when the team releases its injury report.

They are end Ropati Pitoitua (calf) and linebacker Zaviar Gooden (hamstring). Gooden has missed most of the season with various ailments, including an ankle injury.

(10/6/2013) The Titans had two sacks Week 5 against the Chiefs, one by defensive end Ropati Pitoitua and one by defensive tackle Antonio Johnson. For Pitoitua, it was a big follow-up to his two-sack performance against the Jets last week. For Johnson, it was his second sack of the year.

Pitoitua finished with four tackles, including three solo. Johnson finished with just the one tackle.

Those listed as questionable are defensive end Ropati Pitoitua (shoulder), tackle David Stewart (calf), linebacker Patrick Bailey (hamstring) and cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson (hamstring).

Wide receiver Kenny Britt (neck/ribs) is probable.

(6/21/2013) Titans defensive end Ropati Pitoitua could start at defensive end in Week 1 at Pittsburgh, according to the Tennessean.

The report says despite the return of veteran ends Kamerion Wimbley and Derrick Morgan, the Titans plan to rotate those two. The 6-foot-8, 315-pound Pitoitua worked with the first team throughout the offseason.
