News: The New Orleans Saints began paring down their roster Monday and released the following players: quarterback Luke McCown; tight end Jake Byrne; wide receivers Marques Clark, Kevin Hardy and Derek Moye; defensive backs Kamaal McIlwain, Cord Parks and Johnny Thomas; defensive linemen Remi Ayodele, Swanson Miller and Donavan Robinson; and linebacker Aaron Tevis.
Analysis: McCown was in camp competing for the third-string quarterback job after serving as the starter for Jacksonville in parts of last season. However, none of these players were expected to make a Fantasy impact this season and should be left off all rosters at this point.
News: The Saints signed WR Andy Tanner from the practice squad on Wednesday and cut DL Swanson Miller.
Analysis: Miller poses minimal Fantasy value at this point so continue to ignore him in all Fantasy leagues.
