News: The Browns placed linebacker James-Michael Johnson on injured reserve Tuesday with a knee injury.
Analysis: Johnson started eight games for the Browns this season, but he managed just 36 tackles in 10 games as a rookie. He had no Fantasy appeal.
News: Browns rookie linebacker James-Michael Johnson was quiet for much of the first half of the season, thanks to an oblique injury. The fourth-round pick out of Nevada got a chance to make an impact in Week 8 against the Chargers thanks to Scott Fujitas injury, and he came up big. Johnson racked up 10 tackles in a 7-6 win, while forcing a fumble.
Analysis: We certainly did not expect Johnson to make this kind of impact right now, but it is welcomed. Johnson racked up 100 tackles as a senior in college, so he does seem to have a nose for the ball. If he can continue to see starting chances, Johnson may emerge as a Fantasy contributor, but he still has to prove himself.
