Anthony Armstrong good, but not good enough for Cowboys

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/30/2013) Wide receiver Anthony Armstrong had a good camp with the Cowboys. He just had too much competition and will be cut on Saturday, sources have indicated to DallasCowboys.com.

The report stated that the team had decided to keep four tight ends and five wide receivers - Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, Terrance Williams, Dwayne Harris and Cole Beasley.

Armstrong peaked in 2010 in Washington with 44 catches for 871 yards, but has not come close to duplicating that performance since.
