Johnson involved in two fumbles

News: Buccaneers defensive back Leonard Johnson made a big play late in the first quarter Week 16 against the Rams, forcing a fumble on a hard hit to wide receiver Danny Amendola and recovering it himself. He subsequently committed his own fumble, returning possession to the Rams. Johnson also had five tackles, all solo, on the day.
Analysis: The fumble doesn't cost Johnson any points in Fantasy, but it does detract from the big play he made. The big plays have been relatively few for him this season, and since he's not a particularly good source of tackles, he's probably not worth adding in Fantasy IDP leagues.

Johnson adds touchdown to INT spree

News: Bucs nickelback Leonard Johnson had an interception for the third straight week, only this time he made it count. Johnson scored his first career touchdown vs. the Chargers in Week 10 when he picked off Philip Rivers and returned the ball 83 yards for a score.
Analysis: Johnson's interception streak should get him noticed in deeper IDP leagues, and with six total tackles in Week 10 and 21 tackles on the year, Johnson does have some low-end appeal. He'll have a chance at another interception when he plays at Carolina and Cam Newton in Week 11.

Johnson posts second career INT

News: After recording the first interception of his career his last time out, Buccaneers defensive back Leonard Johnson picked off another pass in Week 9 against the Raiders. He intercepted Carson Palmer in the third quarter and finished with six tackles (five solo) in the 42-32 win.
Analysis: Johnson has done a decent job in his rookie campaign but still has a long way to go before becoming a viable option in Fantasy. Continue to ignore him in the majority of IDP formats at this point.

Johnson comes down with first INT

News: Buccaneers defensive back Leonard Johnson was able to come down with his first career interception in Week 8 against the Vikings. Johnson stepped in front of a Christian Ponder pass attempt late in the fourth quarter, which sealed the 36-17 win for Tampa Bay. He was credited with three passes defended in the victory and finished with a pair of solo tackles.
Analysis: Leonard is a rookie out of Iowa State and normally only plays in dime and nickel packages. However, the 22-year-old could be in line to see a few more snaps each week if he continues to play way he did Thursday night. While Leonard does have some upside, he should continue to be ignored in most all formats until he proves he can become a reliable Fantasy contributor.
