Wagner leads the way for Seattle

News: Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner stayed productive during Sunday's contest at home against the 49ers in Week 16. Wagner led the way for his team as he recorded nine tackles (four solo) in a 42-13 victory.
Analysis: Wagner has made an immediate impact in Fantasy in his first year out of Utah State and has already registered 130 tackles this season. He also has three interceptions, four passes defended and two stops thus far. The 22-year-old has amazing upside and should be viewed as a high-end IDP option heading into the final week of the season.

Analysis: Wagner has turned in an outstanding rookie campaign as he leads the team in tackles with 121 and also has three interceptions, four passes defended and two stops thus far. He looks to have all the makings of a future Pro Bowler and will likely be a high-end option in Fantasy for years to come. Leave the 22-year-old active in all formats heading into Week 15.

Wagner dominates Cardinals

News: Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner continued his stellar rookie campaign in Week 14 against the Cardinals. He finished with a team-high eight tackles (four solo) and also picked off two passes in the 58-0 win. He intercepted quarterback John Skelton in the first quarter before victimizing him again in the third. Wagner now has three interceptions on the year.
Analysis: Wagner has made an immediate impact in Fantasy in his first year out of Utah State as he now has 109 tackles on the year. It looks as though he should be a reliable option in IDP formats for years to come so keep the 22-year-old active heading into Week 15 against the Bills.

Wagner over 100 tackles on season

News: Seattle linebacker Bobby Wagner recorded 11 tackles to lead his team in the Week 13 overtime win at Chicago Sunday. Wagner had nine solo stops in the game and also had a sack of quarterback Jay Cutler.
Analysis: The 22-year-old Wagner now has 101 tackles on his rookie season for the Seahawks. With two sacks and an interception, Wagner has had a fantastic rookie season. He can be active in plenty of Fantasy IDP formats.

Wagner picks on rookie

News: Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner had another solid performance in Week 12 against the Dolphins. He racked up nine tackles -- seven solo -- and intercepted the first pass of his career. He also deflected two passes from rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill, in a 24-21 loss.
Analysis: Wagner already has 90 tackles through the first 11 games of his NFL career, putting him on pace for a truly gaudy first-season total. He has shown no signs of slowing down, with 48 stops over his last five games. Consider the rookie a decent Fantasy IDP option moving forward.

Wagner padding tackle total

News: Seattle linebacker Bobby Wagner notched a team-high nine tackles, but just two solo stops, during the Seahawks' 28-7 win over the Jets in Week 10. It was the fifth consecutive game Wagner finished with eight tackles as he now has 81 on the season.
Analysis: Wagner's impressive total is good for fourth in the league as he has elevated into one of the top rookie linebackers. He also has two sacks on the season and is certainly worth an addition in most Fantasy IDP formats heading into Week 12 at Miami following Seattle's bye week.

Wagner paces Seattle again

News: Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner amassed 10 tackles and a sack during Seattle's 30-20 win over Minnesota in Week 9. Wagner, who registered one of four sacks on Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder, led the team in tackles for the second straight game.
Analysis: In Wagner's past two games he has netted 22 tackles to help catapult him into the top 10 among the league leaders with 72 overall stops. The rookie out of Utah State has now topped double digits in tackles three of the past four weeks and is worth scooping up in most Fantasy IDP formats.

Wagner leads way

News: Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner led the team with 12 tackles in Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Lions. Wagner now has 62 tackles on the season.
Analysis: This was the second double-digit tackle game for Wagner in his last three. And his 62 tackles have him on pace for around 125 on the season. He's getting stronger as the season goes on, with 34 of his tackles have come in the last three games. Heading into a date with the Vikings in Week 9, Wagner is becoming a great source of tackles in deeper formats.

Wagner registers eight tackles

News: Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner turned in another solid performance in Week 7 against the 49ers. Wagner totaled eight tackles, seven of which were solo, in a 13-6 defeat.
Analysis: Wagner has registered 51 tackles through his first seven games and has 1.5 sacks in his first season in the league. The rookie is starting to emerge as a solid Fantasy producer for years to come. Fantasy owners should continue to view the rookie as a viable option in deeper IDP formats heading into Week 8 at Detroit.

News: Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner led his team in tackles in Week 6 against the Patriots. He finished with 14 total (seven solo) in the 24-23 win.
Analysis: Wagner has racked up 43 tackles through his first six games in the NFL with 1.5 sacks. He is shaping up to be a producer in Fantasy for years to come so consider adding the rookie in deeper IDP formats heading into Week 7 against the 49ers.

Wagner notches first career sack

News: Seattle linebacker Bobby Wagner amassed six tackles and 1.5 sacks during the Seahawks' 16-12 victory over Carolina in Week 5. Wagner's sacks represented the first of his career as Seattle finished with four sacks combined on quarterback Cam Newton.
Analysis: Wagner is part of a retooled pass rush for the Seahawks and the rookie earned his first sacks five games into his first year. He has also increased his tackle totals over the past three games and has 21 stops in that span. Keep an eye on his production in deeper Fantasy IDP formats.

Wagner starting to settle in

News: Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner had a team-high seven solo tackles Week 4 at St. Louis. He finished with three tackles for loss. Wagner has 23 tackles (17 solo) through four games.
Analysis: The rookie out of Utah State has 15 tackles in his last two games and is finally settling in as the Seahawks' middle linebacker. It could be just a matter of time before Wagner breaks out, so Fantasy owners looking for help in IDP formats might take a flier on him.

Wagner posts eight tackles

News: Seahawks Bobby Wagner was fairly productive in Week 3 against the Packers. Wagner collected eight tackles in the 14-12 with five of those being credited as solo stops. He now has 16 tackles on the year.
Analysis: Wagner has played well over his first three games in the league, albeit he is still not on the field for every snap. Still, the 22-year-old still has a ton of upside and should continue to get better the more he plays. While the future looks bight for Wagner, he should only be active in deeper IDP formats heading into Week 4.

Wagner does little in debut

News: Rookie linebacker Bobby Wagner got the start at middle linebacker in Sunday’s season opener against the Cardinals, but he had a minimal impact in the game. Wagner finished with just one solo tackle and three combined in the game, as the Cardinals defeated the Seahawks, 20-16.
Analysis: The Seahawks won the time-of-possession battle on offense, so the Cardinals had just 57 offensive plays in the game, which obviously limited the chances for defensive players to put up big numbers. Wagner should remain in the middle, where he has an opportunity to rack up tackles, so Fantasy owners should consider him a decent flier option in many Fantasy IDP formats.

Wagner to compete for MLB job

News: Seattle coach Pete Carroll has wanted the Seahawks to get faster on defense, especially at linebacker. With the addition of Bobby Wagner in the second round of the draft, Carroll hopes they've solved that issue. Wagner has been thrown into the fire during this weekend's rookie minicamp getting reps at middle linebacker as the Seahawks look to fill the hole left by David Hawthorne's departure to New Orleans. He'll battle veterans Matt McCoy and Barrett Ruud for the starting job this summer. "Bobby's going to get a heck of a chance. We want to see him. We'd love to get that speed on the field if we could. It's rare to find a linebacker that runs that fast," Carroll said. "... But he's got to do it. He's got a long way to go before he can take that over."
Analysis: We thought Wagner would get a chance sooner than later, but it sounds as if he'll get a shot this summer to unseat two veterans who have posted underwhelming totals over the past few years. We consider Wagner worth a late pick in seasonal and dynasty/keeper leagues and a mid-to-late pick in rookie-only drafts for now.

Seahawks reel in eight defenders

News: The Seahawks made strides in improving its pass rush and creating depth on defense in the 2012 NFL Draft. They spent a first-round pick on West Virginia pass rush specialist Bruce Irvin and followed it up with Utah State linebacker Bobby Wagner in Round 2. The rest of the haul includes Florida defensive tackle Jaye Howard, Idaho linebacker Korey Toomer, Northwestern State cornerback Jeremy Lane, Kentucky safety Winston Guy, N.C. State defensive tackle J.R. Sweezy and Louisville defensive tackle Greg Scruggs.
Analysis: Aside from Irvin, the only interesting Fantasy option worth a look is Wagner, who could develop into the team's middle linebacker sooner than later. He's worth a late pick in dynasty/keeper leagues and a mid-to-late pick in rookie-only drafts. Everyone else besides him and Irvin will provide depth and probably won't find regular playing time and put up quality stats.
