Colts make four roster moves Tuesday

(11/26/2013) The Colts announced a slew of roster moves Tuesday. Linebacker Josh McNary was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster, tight end Justice Cunningham and wide receiver David Reed were waived, and Delano Howell was placed on injured reserve.

Herron is dealing with an ankle injury. Howell was listed on the injury report with a neck issue. Both players were able to participate in full practice Friday.

LaRon Landry (toe) is questionable while fellow safety Delano Howell (neck) is probable. Backup cornerback Josh Gordy (groin) is questionable.

(11/14/2013) The Colts inactive list for Week 11 against the Titans did not feature much in the way of surprises Thursday, as all three players sidelined by injuries had already been ruled out: defensive backs Josh Gordy (groin), Delano Howell (neck) and Greg Toler (groin) were all inactive for the game due to injury.

They were joined on the inactive list by linebacker Kelvin Sheppard, defensive lineman Montori Hughes, wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers and offensive lineman Khaled Holmes.

Delano Howell still sidelined with neck ailment

(10/30/2013) A neck injury that knocked Colts free safety Delano Howell out of the Week 7 game against Denver is still a problem. Howell did not participate in Wednesday practice despite having had the bye week to recover.

Howell, who had been nursing the neck problem before that MNF clash against Denver, has started three of the last five games after being out the first two. He has also dealt with a toe injury this season.

Linebacker Bjoern Werner (foot) was unable to practice throughout the week and has been ruled out, while linebacker Kelvin Sheppard (hamstring) and defensive back Darius Butler (groin) are officially questionable after being limited throughout the week.

Linebacker Jerrell Freeman (concussion) and defensive backs LaRon Landry (ankle) and Delano Howell (neck) were able to practice without restriction throughout the week and are probable on the injury report.

Among the others ruled out for the game Sunday against Seattle are running back Stanley Havili (ankle), defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois (groin), safety LaRon Landry (ankle) and linebacker Bjoern Werner (foot).

(10/2/2013) An injury problem is growing in the Indianapolis secondary. Colts safety Delano Howell, who started the last two games, showed up at Wednesday practice in a walking boot on his left foot, the Indianapolis Star has reported.

Fellow safety LaRon Landry is already out with an ankle injury that has prevented him from playing the last two weeks. His absence put Howell into the starting lineup.
