News: The Jets continued tweaking their roster Saturday and released defensive lineman Marcus Dixon, according to the New York Post. The team also claimed three players off waivers: defensive lineman Isaako Aaitui; wide receiver Clyde Gates; and tight end Konrad Reuland.
Analysis: None of these players were or are expected to make a major Fantasy impact this season. Leave them off all rosters at this point.
News: The 49ers continued trimming their roster Friday in preparation for the regular season and released the following players: running back Rock Cartwright; linebacker Joe Holland; defensive back Anthony Mosley; tight end Konrad Reuland; and wide receiver Brett Swain.
Analysis: Some of these players were able to make an early impression in training camp and survive the first round of cuts. However, neither of them were ultimately expected to make a Fantasy impact this season and should be left on waivers at this point.
