Ravens sign suspended safety Will Hill

(7/25/2014) The Ravens have signed suspended safety Will Hill to a one-year deal, according to the Baltimore Sun. Hill is suspended for six games for violating the league's substance abuse policy while with the Giants, his second suspension since entering the NFL.

"If we need it, Will will provide depth in the middle of the season," Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome explained.

(6/2/2014) The Giants waived safety Will Hill on Monday, ending a rough two-year tenure with the club. Hill was suspended last week for violating the league's substance abuse policy for a third time in less than three seasons. 

Over two years and 24 games, Hill totaled 115 tackles, two interceptions, four passes defensed, three forced fumbles and a touchdown.

(5/30/2014) Giants safety Will Hill has reportedly lost his appeal after failing a drug test and is expected to serve a six-game suspension, the Newark Star-Ledger reported Friday. This is his third failed drug test since joining the Giants -- two for substance abuse, one for a performance-enhancing drug. 

The Star-Ledger believes that Hill will end up getting released as members of the Giants front office are unhappy with his inability to stay clean. Hill previously told the Star-Ledger that he smokes marijuana to help him stay focused and calm down his Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

(5/13/2014) With the Giants adding talent to their safety corps, signs point to Will Hill being "a goner, or at least someone who won't be a contributor this season," the Newark Star-Ledger reports. 

Hill is reportedly facing a third suspension for failing a drug test and seemed to be on the way out because of that. He has two interceptions over 24 career games.

(12/23/2013) Giants defensive back Will Hill, who was arrested on Friday, continued his controversial week as he took an interception back for a touchdown in Sunday's game against the Lions in Week 16.

Hill picked off Matthew Stafford and ran it back 38 yards to tie the game with 5:06 remaining in the fourth quarter. It was the second interception of his season and his career. He finished the game with a team-high 11 tackles (six solo) in a 23-20 overtime win.

Despite arrest, Will Hill not expected to miss time

(12/21/2013) Giants defensive back Will Hill traveled with the team to Detroit Saturday, despite being arrested Friday, according to the New York Daily News.

Hill is expected to play in Week 16 against the Lions despite the arrest, which was a result of a warranted related to child support, according to the report. The team will not punish him, considering the issue a "personal" matter.

(12/2/2013) The Giants turned the heat up after falling behind the Redskins. They sacked Robert Griffin III five times in the second half of their 24-17 victory.

Defensive end Justin Tuck registered four sacks, matching his total for all of last season. Tuck, who did a lot of his damage lining up inside, hit Griffin six times. Defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins had the other sack. Safety Will Hill made the play of the game when he ripped the ball away from receiver Pierre Garcon on Washington's final drive.

The Giants DST held Washington to 5 of 16 on third down and limited Alfred Morris to 26 yards on 11 carries. New York visits San Diego in Week 14. 


Will Hill's first career interception seals win Week 8

(10/27/2013) Giants safety Will Hill sealed New York's 15-7 win Week 8 at Philadelphia by intercepting a Matt Barkley pass at the Giants' 38-yard line with 11 seconds remaining. Hill added five solo tackles in the win.

Since missing the first four games due to a suspension, Hill has totaled 25 tackles -- all solo -- in four games. He had his first career interception Sunday.

(10/7/2013) Giants safety Will Hill made his season debut Week 5 vs. Philadelphia after serving a four-game suspension. The second-year safety out of Florida got plenty of work in his debut.

Hill had a team-high 11 solo tackles in a 36-21 loss. He had one tackle for loss. Hill had 38 tackles in 12 games last season.

(7/28/2013) Giants safety Will Hill, suspended for the first four games, admitted Sunday that his suspension stems from several failed marijuana tests. Hill said he used marijuana to combat stress.

"It's from family members, everyone reaching their hand out thinking I'm an ATM, and people who think you owe them something," he said. "It was just a situation where I was visiting back to my hometown and a guy pulled a shotgun on me right then and wanted money. How do you deal with those situations? I really can't so I dealt with it the best way I knew how."

Hill said he completed a drug treatment program.
