(8/23/2014) Eagles coach Chip Kelly announced Saturday that defensive backs Cary Williams (hamstring) and Brandon Boykin (hamstring), along with running back LeSean McCoy (thumb) and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (knee) will all practice Saturday, despite missing time in the previous preseason game due to their various maladies.

(8/21/2014) Defensive back Brandon Boykin highlights the list of inactives for the Eagles' third preseason game against the Steelers on Thursday. Boykin left last week's game against New England with leg cramps. He was seen talking to a team trainer and pointing the back of his right leg, according to PhillyMag.com. The team has diagnosed him with a "slight' hamstring injury.

The rest of the inactives: Wide receiver Josh Huff (shoulder), running back Chris Polk (hamstring), linebacker Jake Knott (hamstring), defensive back Cary Williams (hamstring), and center Julian Vandervelde (back).

Eagles DST comes up with three turnovers

(12/30/2013) The Eagles DST allowed 417 yards Week 17 at Dallas, but came up with three turnovers at critical times. Linebacker Mychal Kendricks and corner Brandon Boykin intercepted Kyle Orton, the second pick ending Dallas' last-ditch drive.

Earlier, cornerback Bradley Fletcher recovered a DeMarco Murray fumble to squelch a Cowboys' scoring chance. The Eagles held Dallas to 3.3 yards per carry. However, Philly came up with zero sacks.

The Eagles DST faces a tougher test in Saturday's playoff game when New Orleans comes calling.

Eagles DST scores late to cap great night

(12/23/2013) The Eagles DST got a pick-6 in the fourth quarter when corner Brandon Boykin returned a Jay Cutler interception 54 yards. The touchdown highlighted one of the unit's top performances all year.

Playing with a lead the entire night, Philly held the potent Bears attack to 257 total yards and got five sacks and two takeaways. Linebacker Trent Cole had three sacks, linebacker Mychal Kendricks two. Cornerback Cary Williams recovered Devin Hester's fumble on a first-quarter kickoff return.

The Eagles DST heads to Dallas in Week 17 with momentum.

(12/20/2013) The Eagles have ruled CB Brandon Boykin, LB Najee Goode, LB Mychal Kendricks, WR Brad Smith and S Earl Wolff as probable Week 16 against the Bears.

Both Goode and Smith are dealing with hamstring injuries. Kendricks and Wolff are trying to get over knee issues. Boykin has a concussion.

(12/18/2013) Eagles cornerback Brandon Boykin, who suffered a concussion Week 15, has not been medically cleared to practice yet, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer. Boykin has 43 tackles, four interceptions and two forced fumbles and has not missed a game this season.

The Eagles host the Bears on Sunday night.

(11/17/2013) Eagles defensive back Brandon Boykin pulled down a pass that Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was trying to throw out of the back of the end zone late in the fourth quarter Week 11 against the Washington, preserving the game for the Eagles.

It was Boykin's fourth interception of the season and second in as many games. He also had three tackles, all solo, and a forced fumble.

(11/10/2013) Eagles defensive back Brandon Boykin saved Philadelphia’s defense with an interception in the end zone during Sunday’s contest at Green Bay in Week 10.

Boykin picked off third-string quarterback Scott Tolzien in the end zone and nearly ran it back for a touchdown. He was brought down after a 76-yard return. He finished the game with three total tackles and one pass defended in a 27-13 victory.

Boykin has 36 tackles and three interceptions on the year.

However, Boykin said he'll practice Thursday at "full speed."
