Ravens DST feasts on Matthew Stafford's mistakes

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/17/2013) The Ravens DST intercepted Matthew Stafford three times in the Week 15 win at Detroit, holding the high-octane Lions to 16 points. Defensive tackle DeAngelo Tyson, linebacker Daryl Smith and safety Matt Elam picked off Stafford in the second half.

Smith has three interceptions this year, tied for the team lead, after snagging Stafford's ill-advised pass over the middle. Smith added a sack, giving him 4 1/2 this season.

Baltimore got a lift from the return of outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, who had two quarterback hits and two tackles. The Ravens DST faces another tough matchup Week 16 vs. the Patriots.

The rest of the inactives are running back Bernard Scott, linebacker John Simon, safety Brynden Trawick and defensive end DeAngelo Tyson.

Ravens list Week 2 inactives

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/15/2013) Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones (knee), defensive tackle Brandon Williams (toe), wide receiver Deonte Thompson (foot), center Ryan Jensen (foot), defensive end DeAngelo Tyson, tackle Jah Reid and running back Shaun Draughn were listed as inactive Week 2 vs. Cleveland.

Ravens add Thompson, Jackson, Tyson

(5/4/2012) In addition to drafting outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw, the Ravens spent three other picks on their defense in the draft. They took South Carolina State safety Christian Thompson, Cal Poly cornerback Asa Jackson and Georgia defensive tackle DeAngelo Tyson. Thompson is a former Auburn defensive back with good coverage ability and some long-term potential. Jackson is a speedy cornerback who plays tougher than his size suggests but needs some experience. Tyson is a big body expected to eventually help cram the run.
