Winston Guy exits preseason game with ankle injury

(8/22/2014) Jaguars defensive back Winston Guy was forced out of Friday's preseason game in Detroit with a left ankle injury. He sustained the injury in the first quarter and was helped off the field. He will likely be evaluated so that the team can know the extent of the injury.

Winston Guy breaks out in win over Texans

(12/6/2013) Jaguars defensive back Winston Guy had his best game of the season Thursday, in a 27-20 win over the Texans in Week 14. Guy racked up eight tackles to finish third on the team, and nearly matching his total for the season.

Guy entered the game with just nine tackles in the first 10 games of his career.


Jaguars list nine probables on injury report

(11/29/2013) The Jaguars placed 12 players on their Friday injury report, but nine are probable for the game against the Browns on Sunday.

The offensive players so designated are linemen Will Rackley (illness) and Cameron Bradfield (bicep) and wide receiver Cecil Shorts (groin). Running back Justin Forsett (foot) is out.

The defensive probables are cornerback Will Blackmon (shoulder), defensive end Andre Branch (knee), safety Winston Guy (shoulder), linebackers J.T. Thomas (ankle) and Geno Hayes (knee) and tackle Roy Miller (shoulder).


Jaguars clear nine injured players for Week 12

(11/24/2013) Jaguars cornerback Dwayne Gratz (hip), safety Winston Guy (hamstring), defensive tackle Abry Jones (back), defensive tackle Roy Miller (shoulder), tight end Danny Noble (hamstring), linebacker Paul Posluszny (concussion), guard Will Rackley (concussion), wide receiver Kerry Taylor (toe) and linebacker Geno Hayes (knee) were all cleared to play Week 12 at Houston. Every player was listed as probable except Hayes, who was questionable.

Many Jaguars defenders on Friday injury report

(11/22/2013) Several defensive players in various stages of recovery are on the injury report released Friday by the Jaguars.

Listed as questionable for the Sunday game against the Texans are defensive back Will Blackmon (shoulder) and linebacker Geno Hayes (knee). Those deemed probable are defensive backs Dwayne Gratz (hip) and Winston Guy (hamstring), linebacker Paul Posluszny (concussion) and linemen Abry Jones (back) and Roy Miller (shoulder).

Among the offensive players on the report is tight end Danny Noble, who is probable with a hamstring problem.

(10/27/2013) The Jaguars listed several defensive players as probable to play in London for the Week 8 game against San Francisco on Sunday. All those players are active for the game.

Those players are as follows: Linebacker Russell Allen (ribs); defensive linemen Andre Branch (knee), Sen'Derrick Marks (knee/ankle), Roy Miller (shoulder) and Jeremy Mincey (concussion); and defensive backs Johnathan Cyprien (calf), Winston Guy (back) and Dwayne Gratz (ankle).

Maurice Jones-Drew, who was ruled questionable coming into the week, was declared active for the game.

Seahawks make final cuts

(8/31/2013) The Seahawks officially finalized their 53-man roster Saturday by terminating the contracts of defensive tackle Clinton McDonald, fullback Michael Robinson, quarterback Brady Quinn and cornerback Antoine Winfield.

In addition, Seattle waived the following 18 players from the roster: wide receiver Phil Bates, defensive tackle Michael Brooks, defensive tackle Dewayne Cherrington, wide receiver Arceto Clark, tight end Darren Fells, defensive back Winston Guy, wide receiver Chris Harper, tight end Cooper Helfet, defensive tackle Jaye Howard, guard Rishaw Johnson, tight end Sean McGrath, defensive back Ron Parker, linebacker Ty Powell, guard Ryan Seymour, defensive back DeShawn Shead, defensive tackle Sealver Siliga, guard Jared Smith and wide receiver Bryan Walters.

Guy comes off suspension

(12/24/2012) The Seahawks activated defensive back Winston Guy from their one-week roster exemption on Monday and waived wide receiver Deon Butler. Guy was suspended four games by the NFL in November for violating the leagues policy on performance-enhancing substances.
