Chris Hogan leads Bills supporting receivers in Week 7

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/19/2014) Bills wide receiver Chris Hogan caught five of his six targets for 63 yards in his team's 17-16 win over the Vikings in Week 7.

Hogan's big highlight came on the team's final drive, when he hauled in a 28-yard pass with less than 30 seconds left in the game to put the Bills on the two-yard line with a chance to take the lead, which they did with just one second left on the clock. It was Hogan's second game with five receptions and six targets, and he was second on the team in receiving yards to rookie Sammy Watkins in Week 7.

Tight end Scott Chandler chipped in three receptions on six targets for 36 yards after posting his first 100-yard performance of the season in the team's previous game. Tight end Chris Gragg caught both of his targets for 19 yards. No. 2 wide receiver Robert Woods managed only 10 receiving yards while catching four of his five targets in the win.

Are the Bills tight ends trustworthy options Week 11?

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11/12/2013) If Bills receivers Steve Johnson (groin) and Robert Woods (ankle) are out due to injuries Week 11 vs. N.Y. Jets, who will quarterback EJ Manuel have left to throw to? The answer could come in the form of tight ends Scott Chandler and Chris Gragg.

The matchup is a favorable one for Chandler and Gragg. Tight ends average 61.9 receiving yards and 10 Fantasy points per week against New York, which is tied for the fourth-highest average. Tight ends have totaled six touchdowns in nine games against New York, including one from Chandler in Week 3.

Chandler has a touchdown in each of his last two games against New York and Gragg is coming off his best performance as a pro Week 10, totaling four catches for 25 yards and one touchdown.

Injuries to two of Manuel's top targets means there could be opportunities for Chandler and Gragg to step up Week 11. Chandler could be worth a look as a bye-week Fantasy replacement, but Gragg is more of a desperation Fantasy option since he doesn't have much of a track record.

Chris Gragg shows up with first touchdown

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/10/2013) Bills tight end Chris Gragg came out of nowhere to make an impact in Week 10, a 23-10 loss to the Steelers.

Gragg, who entered the game without a reception in his NFL career, caught the first four passes of his career for 25 yards. He also found the end zone for the first time, on a 2-yard pass from EJ Manuel in the last minute of the game.

Gragg is a seventh-round draft pick out of Arkansas who might be able to work his way into the team's game plans moving forward. The Bills face the Jets next in Week 11.

Bills inactives list heavy on injuries

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/3/2013) The Bills inactive list for Week 5 against the Browns Thursday did not feature many surprises. Defensive backs Ron Brooks (foot) and Stephon Gilmore (wrist), as well as wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hand) and kicker Dustin Hopkins (groin) were all inactive, after being ruled out earlier in the week due to their injuries. Defensive back Jairus Byrd (foot) was also unable to take the field.

They are joined on the inactive list by offensive lineman Sam Young and tight end Chris Gragg

Bills like rookie tight end's versatility

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(7/8/2013) With Bills tight ends Scott Chandler and Lee Smith dealing with injuries, rookie tight end Chris Gragg saw a lot of reps with the first-team offense during spring practices, according to NFL.com. Gragg was used in multiple roles at Arkansas (H-back, split out, lined up tight), and the Bills could see him filling a similar role in the NFL.

"I’m actually thinking about building upon what he was doing at Arkansas," coach Doug Marrone said after Gragg was picked. "He’s got 4.5 speed and I think he can stretch the field vertically, which gives you some good matchups at times depending upon what’s on defense."

Bills draft Gragg

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(5/1/2013) The Bill selected tight end Chris Gragg in the seventh round of the NFL Draft out of Arkansas. Gragg caught 72 passes for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns in four years for the Razorbacks. He is more of a receiver than a blocker, and he led all tight ends at the Combine with a 4.50 40-yard dash.
