Texans list lengthy injury report for Week 8 clash with Titans

(10/24/2014) The Texans listed a lengthy injury report for Week 8 against the Titans.

Darryl Morris (ankle) and Jeff Tarpinian (knee) were the only two players on the list ruled out for the divisional clash. Jadeveon Clowney (knee), Brian Cushing (knee), Brooks Reed (groin) and John Simon (ankle) were labeled questionable. Meanwhile, Akeem Dent (wrist), Tim Jamison (groin), Andre Johnson (ankle), Johnathan Joseph (knee), Mike Mohamed (calf) and Jerrell Powe (shoulder) were all deemed probable.

(3/18/2014) The Texans signed defensive tackle Jerrell Powe, reports ESPN's Adam Caplan. He appeared in 11 games for the Chiefs the past three years.

Injured linemen highlight Chiefs inactives

(1/4/2014) Among the Chiefs inactives for Saturday's Wild Card playoff game against the Colts, only two injured players were unable to take the field. Offensive linemen Eric Kush (ankle) and Eric Fisher (groin, shoulder) were among the seven players listed as inactive prior to the game.

Those two are joined by fellow offensive lineman Rokevious Watkins, quarterback Tyler Bray, tight end Richard Gordon , linebacker Dezman Moses and defensive lineman Jerrell Powe on the inactive list. 


Jerrell Powe in, Chad Hall out for Chiefs

(12/19/2013) The Chiefs have again released wideout Chad Hall, whom they signed on Dec. 14 after waiving him a week earlier. They have also re-signed defensive lineman Jerrell Powe .

Hall has caught two passes for 20 yards this season.

(9/1/2013) The Chiefs claimed seven players off waivers: wideout Chad Hall (San Francisco), tight end Sean McGrath (Seattle), linebackers Dezman Moses (Green Bay) and James-Michael Johnson (Cleveland), defensive backs Ron Parker (Seattle) and Marcus Cooper (San Francisco) and defensive lineman Jaye Howard (Seattle).

To make room, Kansas City released wideout Devon Wylie, tight end Kevin Brock, defensive lineman Jerrell Powe, linebacker Zac Diles and defensive backs Jalil Brown and Bradley McDougald.


Chiefs reload on defense


(5/9/2011) In addition to drafting edge rusher Justin Houston, the Chiefs drafted Miami DE Allen Bailey (Round 3), Colorado CB Jalil Brown (Round 4), Oregon State LB Gabe Miller (Round 5) and Ole Miss DT Jerrelle Powe (Round 6).
