Jackson sustained posterior cruciate ligament damage to his knee during the Ravens’ win over the Jaguars Sunday. Jackson left the game and did not return.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the team would explore their options for suitable replacements.

Baltimore placed cornerback Tramain Jacobs on injured reserve because of a thigh injury, ending his 2014 campaign. In a corresponding move, cornerback Asa Jackson (toe) was activated to the 53-man active roster and should be available to play Week 14.

(11/1/2014) Ravens cornerback Asa Jackson is looking forward to getting out of his walking boot in the near future, the Baltimore Sun reports.

"I'll be out of the boot soon," Jackson said Friday. "I'm looking forward to that and getting back into game shape. I've been doing a lot of pool work and a lot of riding the bike right now. I'm trying to stay in shape. I'm feeling better every day. I've been lifting five days a week. I'm getting stronger."

Jackson was placed on the short-term injured reserve after suffering a severe toe sprain on Oct. 5. Once the boot is off, he'll move forward to light jogging.

(9/19/2014) Ravens running back Bernard Pierce has been listed as questionable for the Sunday game in Cleveland with a thigh injury. He is the lone Baltimore player so designated Friday.

Deemed doubtful is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee). The probables are quarterback Joe Flacco (illness), cornerbacks Lardarius Webb (back) and Asa Jackson (concussion) and offensive lineman Eugene Monroe (knee).

Jackson has been impressive in training camp, and he picked off a pass in the first preseason game against the 49ers. Brown has been filling in for starting corner Lardarius Webb, who has missed time due to a back injury, but seems likely to open the season as a reserve at this point.
