News: Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson was arrested Friday for driving under the influence, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Johnson doesn't post enough relevant stats to warrant Fantasy use. Keep him off of rosters.
News: Rams defensive back Trumaine Johnson injured his hip in the first quarter Week 7 against the Packers and had to leave the game. He didn't make a statistical contribution before leaving.
Analysis: Johnson isn't a starter for the Rams, so he doesn't contribute much more than the occasional tackle. Regardless of this injury, he belongs on the waiver wire.
News: Four of the Rams' 10 draft picks in April addressed the defensive side of the ball, including their top pick, LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers. He's joined by North Alabama cornerback Janoris Jenkins, Montana cornerback Trumaine Johnson and Hawaii linebacker Aaron Brown.
Analysis: Despite the talent the Rams drafted, none of these guys are expected to be productive contributors to Fantasy owners anytime soon. Jenkins has a chance to put up some numbers because he'll get targeted plenty in St. Louis, but it's always tricky to count on a cornerback for big stats since they typically don't get a lot of tackles compared to safeties. If anything, Jenkins is worth a late look in dynasty/keeper leagues and rookie-only drafts.
