News: The Dolphins have signed free-agent nose tackle Chris Baker, who last played with the Broncos. To make room, the team waived DL Clifton Geathers.
Analysis: Baker is expected to contribute to the Dolphins on a minimal basis, making him avoidable in Fantasy play. Keep him off of rosters.
News: The Denver Broncos waived seven players on Friday and placed injured running back LenDale White (Achilles') on injured reserve.The biggest surprise on the list of seven cuts was seventh-round draft pick Jammie Kirlew, a linebacker from Indiana. Others who were waived are: wide receiver Alric Arnett, nose tackle Chris Baker, offensive lineman Paul Duncan, tight ends Nathan Overbay and Kory Sperry and linebacker Johnny Williams.
Analysis: None of these players were expected to make significant contributions for the Broncos in 2010. They had no Fantasy appeal to begin with and can continue to be ignored.
News: Broncos QB Tom Brandstater, WR Eddie Royal, DB Ty Law, RB LaMont Jordan, DB Vernon Fox, LB Spencer Larsen and DL Chris Baker have all been ruled inactive for Week 16 at Philadelphia.
Analysis: Royal is out because of neck and head injuries and it just adds further insult to an already disappointing campaign. Most of these inactive players are either reserves or special teams contributors when dressed. They have little to no Fantasy appeal. Keep them reserved for Week 16.
News: The Broncos inactives for Week 12 against the Giants include QB Tom Brandstater, WR Kenny McKinley, RB LaMont Jordan, DL Chris Baker, WR Brandon Llyod and DE Jarvin Moss.
Analysis: Keep these players reserved for Week 12. When active they have minimal Fantasy value in all leagues.
News: Denver has listed the following players as inactive for Week 10 at Washington: 3rd QB Tom Brandstater, RB Peyton Hillis, DB Josh Barrett, DL Chris Baker, DL Jarvis Moss and DL Ryan McBean.
Analysis: Hillis has three receptions on the season for 16 yards and does little in the running game for the Broncos. He should be left on waivers with the rest of the players listed above. None have Fantasy value at this time.
