(10/26/2014) The Bears have listed LB Lance Briggs, LB Jon Bostic, OL Jordan Mills, S Danny McCray, CB Terrance Mitchell, DB Ahmad Dixon and OL Charles Leno, Jr. as inactive Week 8 against the Patriots.

The Bears will be without a couple notable defensive players. Both Briggs and Bostic will need more time to recover, leaving the team thin at linebacker. Jordan Mills will also miss the contest, hurting the offensive line.

Bears announce Week 6 inactives vs. Falcons

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/12/2014) The Bears have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's Week 6 matchup with the Falcons: offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod, cornerback Sherrick McManis, safety Ahmad Dixon (hamstring) and linebackers Lance Briggs (ribs), D.J. Bears might use D.J. Williams, Jon Bostic at MLB

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/5/2013) Bears middle linebacker D.J. Williams practiced with the first-team defense Wednesday, but coach Marc Trestman said he hasn't finalized the extent of Williams' role in Sunday's opener against the Bengals. Trestman added Williams, who suffered a right calf injury in late July, and rookie Jon Bostic might both play middle linebacker Week 1.

"I don’t know that he’s in game condition to play 60 or 70 plays, or 50 or 60 plays, but we’re just going to let the week kind of take its course," Trestman said, per The Chicago Tribune. "Both him and Jonathan are getting plenty of work. We’re excited to have him back, certainly. If we have to make a decision, it’s a good one. There’s no reason why they can’t both be up."
