Rams WR Stedman Bailey leads the way Week 15

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/12/2014) Rams wideout Stedman Bailey led the team in receiving Week 15 against the Cardinals.

Bailey was really the only standout on the Rams' offense. He hauled in five passes for 74 yards. Bailey received eight targets, finishing second on the team in the category. A large portion of his yardage came on a 38 yard deep pass in the fourth quarter. Bailey also gained 13 rushing yards on one attempt.

Bailey will look for more Week 16 against the Giants.

Stedman Bailey deserves a pass

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/8/2014) What a letdown for Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey Week 14 at Washington. Shaun Hill has his biggest game yet at quarterback, and his supposed favorite target was barely even a part of it, getting just two balls thrown his way.

Of course, he caught both of them for 47 yards, so he wasn't a complete embarrassment. And nobody got more than five targets for the Rams. As productive as Bailey was in Weeks 12 and 13, he deserves a pass for this one in leagues where teams start three wide receivers.

Stedman Bailey, Kenny Britt take back seat Week 14

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/7/2014) Rams starting wideouts Stedman Bailey and Kenny Britt took a back seat Week 14 as the team needed only 22 passes to beat the lowly Redskins. Britt caught two of five targets for 52 yards, while Bailey hauled in both his targets for 47 yards.

They'll face the Cardinals on Thursday night.

Time to put your faith in Stedman Bailey

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/4/2014) Even though he has averaged 94.5 receiving yards with a touchdown the last two weeks, Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey still isn't a favorite of Jamey Eisenberg and Dave Richard, who rank him outside their top 30 at wide receiver for Week 14. But I'm all about starting him at Washington.

For all the Redskins' struggles this season, they've fared well against the run, giving teams extra incentive to throw the ball against them. They've had a hard time containing wide receivers especially, giving up the fifth-most Fantasy points per game to them.

Since Brian Quick went down for the season, Bailey is the only Rams wide receiver to do anything worthwhile, so if anyone's going to take advantage of the matchup, it's him. His emergence has coincided with Shaun Hill's insertion at quarterback, which probably isn't a coincidence. Hill has been a successful backup in the league for years and is more capable of leading his team down the field than Austin Davis was.

Plus, if you've actually seen some of Bailey's catches, you'll recognize he's a special talent. They're not Odell Beckham good, but he's making it pretty easy for Hill to throw him the ball. I'd be starting him over players like Kelvin Benjamin, Anquan Boldin, Jordan Matthews, Torrey Smith, Mohamed Sanu, Jarvis Landry, Mike Wallace and Donte Moncrief this week.

Stedman Bailey's role in the offense growing

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/30/2014) Rams second-year wide receiver Stedman Bailey is starting to see his role in the offense grow, and he put up his second solid outing in a row in Week 13 against the Raiders.

Bailey was targeted six times in the game, actually down from nine the week before, but he put together the best game of his career anyways. He hauled in five of those passes for 100 yards, his first career 100-yard game.

Bailey now has 189 yards on 12 catches and a touchdown over the last two games, and appears to have cemented his role as one of the team's top wide receivers. Given his lack of a track record, Fantasy owners probably want to avoid relying on Bailey, but he should at least be worth an add in deeper PPR formats, given the rapport he has shown with Shaun Hill.

Rams WR Stedman Bailey does it again

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/30/2014) Rams second-year wideout Stedman Bailey caught five passes for 100 yards, all in the first quarter, of Sunday's blowout win over the Raiders. It was Bailey's first career 100-yard game and his second straight solid performance after he made seven grabs for 89 yards and a touchdown Week 12.

Bailey was targeted a team-high six times. St. Louis stopped throwing after getting up big.

Bailey, who has suddenly become the Rams' go-to receiver, visits the Redskins in Week 14.

Rams settling into three-receiver rotation

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/25/2014) The Rams "seem to have settled into a three-man rotation at wide receiver," reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The paper noted Kenny Britt played 59 snaps at San Diego, followed by Tavon Austin (50) and Stedman Bailey (43).

Chris Givens played just 14 snaps and was not targeted.

St. Louis hosts the Raiders on Sunday.

Rams receiving corps still being sorted out

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/24/2014) So who predicted Stedman Bailey would lead the Rams in receiving Week 12 at San Diego? Yeah, me neither. But despite entering the game with only eight catches all season, there he was catching seven balls for 89 yards and a touchdown.

It wasn't one of those fluky, flow-of-the-game-type performances either. The Rams only lost by three. Since the injury to Brian Quick in Week 8, no one had emerged as the go-to guy, and the recent change at quarterback only added the opportunity.

So perhaps we shouldn't be any more surprised by this performance than we were by Kenny Britt's four catches for 128 yards and a touchdown last week. Britt, by the way, had only two catches for 37 yards in this one, receiving six targets, which is exactly why you should sit back and see how this situation develops rather than commit big dollars to Bailey.

The opportunity is there for sure, but Rams aren't exactly built to have a prolific passing attack. And so far, no one has sustained anything from one week to the next. Even Quick had to do that before we bought into him in Fantasy.

Rams WR Stedman Bailey sets career highs Week 12

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/23/2014) Rams second-year wideout Stedman Bailey led the team with seven catches for 89 yards, both career highs, in Sunday's loss at San Diego. Bailey scored his first touchdown this season on a 7-yard grab with 2:04 left in the game.

Bailey tied for the team lead with nine targets. He'll play the Raiders in Week 13.

Rams get minor output from several plays in Sunday win

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(11/16/2014) The Rams received small contributions from a number of players during their upset defeat of Denver in Week 11.

The most significant came from running back Benny Cunningham, who caught all four passes thrown his way for 31 yards and added seven yards on two carries. Wideout Stedman Bailey added three receptions for 26 yards while wide receiver Tavon Austin pitched in with two carries for 11 yards and two catches for 10 yards. Also chipping in was tight end Lance Kendricks with two receptions for five yards.

New policy lets Stedman Bailey play Sunday

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/17/2014) Under the NFL's new drug policy, Rams receiver Stedman Bailey doesn't have to serve the rest of his four-game suspension, the league announced. He's eligible to play Sunday against the Cowboys.

NFL, NFLPA finishing up new drug policy

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(9/16/2014) The NFL and the NFL Players Association are finalizing a new drug policy Tuesday evening, and a formal announcement is expected to be made by Wednesday morning, CBSSports.com NFL insider Jason La Canfora reports.

The NFLPA has begun to notify players of the revamped suspensions under the new policy, including Browns receiver Josh Gordon officially having his suspension reduced to 10 games. Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker, Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey and Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick are among the handful of players who should be able to rejoin their respective teams Wednesday in preparation of playing in Week 3.

However, Dolphins defenders Dion Jordan and Reshad Jones are not expected to be affected by the change in policy, the Palm Beach Post reports, leaving their suspensions active for two more games.

Report: Five suspended players to be immediately reinstated

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/15/2014) ESPN.com reports Monday the NFL will reinstate five players immediately following the agreement of the new drug policy. Those five players coming off suspension are:

Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker ; Rams wide receiever Stedman Bailey ; Cowboys corner Orlando Scandrick ; Giants offensive lineman Eric Herman ; and free agent defensive lineman Spencer Nealy.

The new agreement is expected to be ratified in the next 24 hours. Other players are expected to have their drug suspensions impacted by the agreement as well.

Rams slice down roster to 53

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/30/2014) The Rams have issued a series of cuts to reach the mandated roster of limit of 53 for the regular season.

Those on the offensive side of the ball are wide receivers Emory Blake, Austin Franklin and Justin Veltung, linemen Sean Hooey, Mitchell Van Dyk, Travis Bond and Brandon Washington, quarterback Garrett Gilbert and tight end Brad Smelley.

Defenders now gone are linemen Kourtnei Brown, Matt Conrath and Deantre Harlan, defensive backs Christian Bryant, Darren Woodard, Avery Cunningham and Greg Reid and linebackers Aaron Hill, Etienne Sabino, Phillip Seward and Lawrence Wilson.

The Rams also placed wideout Stedman Bailey on the reserved/suspended list.

Kenny Britt among Rams' starters

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/4/2014) The Rams' first depth chart lists Kenny Britt and Tavon Austin as the starting wideouts, reports ESPN.com. Brian Quick and Stedman Bailey are the backups, with Chris Givens and Austin Pettis on the third string.

Stedman Bailey to get plenty of reps with first team before suspension

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/3/2014) Despite his upcoming four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances, the Rams have not been shy about getting receiver Stedman Bailey reps in training camp, according to ESPN.

Bailey is also expected to see plenty of work with the first-team offense during the preseason. Because the Rams have a bye in Week 4, Bailey is not expected back until Week 6 of the regular season.

"He's going to get plenty of work and so are the other guys," Fisher said. "We've got four preseason games and there’s plenty of snaps, plenty of practice snaps to have him ready. We'll probably adjust things right prior to the final cut down."

Austin Pettis helped by Stedman Bailey's suspension

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(5/25/2014) With Rams receiver Stedman Bailey suspended for the first four games, Austin Pettis has a better chance of making the roster, reports ESPN.com. However, Pettis still is no lock to make the team.

The Rams would clear $1.5 million in cap space by cutting Pettis, who caught 38 passes for 399 yards and four touchdowns last season.

Stedman Bailey suspended four games

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(5/12/2014) Rams receiver Stedman Bailey has been suspended for the season's first four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances, the team announced. Bailey caught 17 passes for 226 yards as a rookie and scored a 27-yard touchdown on a double reverse.

Stedman Bailey makes season-high four catches

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/29/2013) Rams rookie receiver Stedman Bailey caught a season-high four passes for 33 yards in the loss at Seattle. He was targeted five times, third most on the team.

After getting his shot in the second half of the season, Bailey made 17 catches for 226 yards.

Stedman Bailey comes up with first score

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/22/2013) Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey scored the first touchdown of his career Sunday, in a 23-13 win over the Buccaneers in Week 16.

Bailey scored on a double reverse in the second quarter, finding the end zone from 27 yards out. He added three receptions for 44 yards to finish with his most productive all-around game.

Bailey is coming on late in his rookie season. He has 11 receptions over the last four games, with just 13 overall on the season heading into Week 17 against the Seahawks.

Several Rams play role in defeat of Saints

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/15/2013) Jared Cook is the starting tight end for the Rams, but he was the least productive Sunday against New Orleans with just one catch for 8 yards.

Wideout Austin Pettis led the way among the minor contributors with four catches for 41 yards. Fellow wide receiver Stedman Bailey (2-26) and Chris Givens (1-31) also made it into the stat sheet. Bailey added a 6-yard run.

Rams receivers do little Week 14

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/8/2013) Rams WR Stedman Bailey, WR Chris Givens and WR Austin Pettis did little Week 14 against the Cardinals.

Bailey actually finished second on the team in receiving yardage, catching four passes for 46 yards. Givens caught just one pass for 21 yards. Pettis caught one pass for 19 yards. All three players were limited by Kellen Clemens' poor play against Arizona. Clemens only threw for 181 yards, and tossed two interceptions.

They'll take on the Saints Week 15.

Stedman Bailey has best game of the season vs. 49ers

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(12/1/2013) Rams rookie wide receiver Stedman Bailey enjoyed a productive performance during Sunday's loss to the 49ers in Week 13.

Bailey caught a short pass for a 13-yard gain in the opening drive and then caught passes for 16 and 17 yards in the fourth quarter. He was targeted four times and finished the game with three catches for 46 yards in a 23-13 defeat.

Stedman Bailey, Brian Quick both finish with 19 yards

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/24/2013) Rams wide receivers Stedman Bailey and Brian Quick each finished Sunday's 42-21 win over the Bears with 19 receiving yards. Bailey got all of his yardage on one pass reception (off one target), while Quick caught two (off two targets).

The yardage represents a career high for Bailey, while Quick now has 245 yards on the season.

The Rams face the 49ers in Week 13.

Stedman Bailey making strong impression

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(8/13/2013) Rams rookie receiver Stedman Bailey continues to make a strong impression, reports ESPN.

Bailey continues to be a solid practice players and has been catching "everything thrown his way in team drills." Bailey is competing for a role behind Chris Givens and fellow rookie Tavon Austin.
