(12/4/2011) Washington DB DeJon Gomes injured his right knee on Sunday in a Week 13 loss to the Jets. Gomes left the game and could not return for Washington. Gomes finished with one tackle.
Gomes has big tackle game
(11/20/2011) Washington DB DeJon Gomes was needed with the Redskins secondary banged up for the Week 11 loss to the Cowboys. Gomes came up big with 13 tackles in the overtime defeat. Six of Gomes' 13 tackles were solo.
Gomes suffers hamstring injury

Redskins bulk up defense
(5/10/2011) The Redskins used many of their acquired draft picks in the 2011 draft to add talent to the defense. After taking Ryan Kerrigan in Round 1, the Redskins selected Clemson DT Jarvis Jenkins (Round 2), Nebraska safety DeJon Gomes (Round 5), Boise State CB Brandyn Thompson (Round 7), Florida State DE Markus White (Round 7) and West Virginia DT Chris Neild (Round 7).
