(10/6/2014) Bengals linebacker Sean Porter is believed to have torn his ACL on the first snap of his NFL career, reports the team's website. The 2013 third-round pick missed his entire rookie year with a shoulder injury, then suffered a hamstring injury this preseason.

When he finally made his NFL debut Sunday night at New England, Porter got hurt on the opening kickoff. It was a non-contact injury that had him on crutches and in a full-length cast Monday, the website said.

They include defensive ends Robert Geathers (toe) and Margus Hunt (shoulder), safety George Iloka (abdomen), linebacker Emmanuel Lamur (concussion), guard Mike Pollak (knee) and linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring).

Other players who were listed as doubtful that are inactive include running back Rex Burkhead (knee), linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring), guard Kevin Zeitler (calf) and defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee). Wide receiver Marvin Jones (foot) and cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris are also inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Titans.


Bengals release Friday injury report

(9/19/2014) The Bengals have ruled out wide receiver Marvin Jones for the Sunday game against Tennessee with a foot injury that has prevented him from playing in either of the first two games. He is the lone certain scratch listed on the Friday injury report.

Several players have been deemed doubtful, however, including linebacker Vontaze Burfict (concussion), running back Rex Burkhead (knee), linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring), defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee) and guard Kevin Zeitler (calf).

Defensive end Carlos Dunlap (knee), offensive lineman Mike Pollak (knee), tackle Andrew Whitworth (knee) and safety Shawn Williams (groin) are all listed as probable.

(9/14/2014) The Bengals' list of inactives for Week 2 against the Falcons includes wide receiver Marvin Jones (foot), running back Rex Burkhead (knee), linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring), defensive lineman Will Clarke, offensive lineman T.J. Johnson and offensive lineman Tanner Hawkinson.

Clarke, Johnson and Hawkinson are all healthy scratches.

The team lists halfback Rex Burkhead (knee) and linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring) as doubtful. Linebacker Vontaze Burfict (concussion) is questionable while defensive tackle Geno Atkins (feet), cornerback Darqueze Dennard (hip) and defensive end Carlos Dunlap (hamstring) are probable.

Deemed doubtful were linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring) and wide receiver James Wright (concussion). Cornerback Darqueze Dennard (hip) was the only listed questionable. Linebacker Vontaze Burfict (hamstring), tight end Tyler Eifert (shoulder), running back Cedric Peerman (hip), guard Mike Pollak (knee) and tackle Andre Smith (concussion) were all listed probable for Sunday.

Four injured Bengals practice fully Wednesday

In addition, cornerback Darqueze Dennard (hip) was limited. Wide receiver James Wright (concussion) was able to ride the bike, while linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring) worked on the side and offensive lineman Mike Pollak (knee) rested.

(8/24/2013) As expected, Bengals wide receiver Andrew Hawkins was ruled inactive for Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys as he continues to nurse an ankle injury, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Hawkins will remove the cast on his ankle this week, but is expected to remain in a walking boot for at least two weeks.

The following players were inactive for Saturday's game: quarterback Zac Robinson, defensive back Brandon Ghee, running back Bernard Scott, fullback Chris Pressley, safety George Iloka, linebackers Brandon Joiner and Sean Porter, offensive linemen Andrew Whitworth and Otis Hudson and defensive end Carlos Dunlap.
