Panthers list inactives for Divisional Round

(1/10/2015) The Panthers have listed Frank Alexander, James Dockery, David Foucault, A.J. Klein, Robert Lester, Star Lotulelei and Amini Silatolu as inactive against the Seahawks.

Lotulelei was the only player ruled out prior to Saturday. Klein was listed as questionable coming into the game due to an ankle issue. The other five players listed as considered healthy scratches. 


Philly Brown among notable Panthers players questionable

(1/9/2015) The Panthers have listed Star Lotulelei (foot) out for Sunday's divisional playoff game against the Seahawks. Lotulelei suffered the injury last week against Arizona, and could be injured reserve-bound.

Meanwhile, the other four players on Carolina's final injury report were deemed questionable. Those include safety Thomas DeCoud (hamstring), wide receiver Philly Brown (shoulder), linebacker A.J. Klein (ankle) and cornerback Melvin White (ankle).


Thomas DeCoud out for Panthers in Wild Card game against Cards

(1/3/2015) Panthers starting defensive back Thomas DeCoud is inactive for Saturday's game against the Cardinals after battling a hamstring injury all week.

DeCoud, who has 50 total tackles in 15 games with one interception, was considered doubtful on the team's final injury report of the week. 

Other inactives for Carolina include: James Dockery , A.J. Klein, Kyle Love , David Foucault, Amini Siatolu and Frank Alexander

The Panthers are 5 1/2-point favorites heading into the matchup.

(1/2/2015) The Panthers have ruled backup quarterback Derek Anderson (illness), running back DeAngelo Williams (hand), defensive end Charles Johnson (not-injury related) and guard Fernando Velasco (not-injury related) as probable for Saturday's wild-card game against Arizona.

Linebacker A.J. Klein (ankle) was listed as questionable, while safety Thomas DeCoud (hamstring) was ruled as doubtful.

(12/28/2014) The Panthers have ruled the following players as inactive for Week 17 against Atlanta: cornerback James Dockery. tackle David Foucault, linebacker A.J. Klein, safety Robert Lester, defensive tackle Kyle Love, guard Amini Silatolu, and running back DeAngelo Williams.

Williams was listed as probable heading into Sunday's game with a hand injury. Coach Ron Rivera chose to keep him inactive and roll with the hot hand, Jonathan Stewart, in the starting lineup. If Carolina wins on Sunday, Williams can return to action in the postseason.

(12/26/2014) Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Falcons and is being listed as probable. 

Williams has missed the last three games for Carolina while dealing with a broken bone in his hand. He has 219 yards on 62 carries in six games this year.

Linebacker A.J. Klein is considered questionable for the game with an akle injury.

The Panthers are 3-point underdogs against Atlanta.

(12/22/2014) Panthers coach Ron Rivera told reporters Monday he hopes linebacker A.J. Klein will be "ready to roll" come Week 17 against Atlanta, per the team's official website. Klein missed Sunday's game against the Browns with a knee injury. He has 39 combined tackles and two forced fumbles on the year.

(12/19/2014) The Panthers have listed seven players on its final injury report for Week 16 against Cleveland, four of which were deemed questionable. Those four include linebacker A.J. Klein (ankle), guard Amini Silatolu (knee), running back DeAngelo Williams (hand) and cornerback Carrington Byndom (hamstring).

Meanwhile, safety Roman Harper (thigh), quarterback Cam Newton (back) and linebacker Thomas Davis (knee) were listed as probable.

(12/12/2014) The Panthers have ruled out quarterback Cam Newton (back) and guard Amini Silatolu (knee) for Week 14 against Tampa Bay. Running back DeAngelo Williams (hand) was the only player on Carolina's final injury report ruled doubtful for the game.

The following players were deemed as probable: Wide receiver Philly Brown (shoulder), cornerback Carrington Byndom (illness), center Ryan Kalil (rest), linebacker A.J. Klein (knee), tight end Greg Olsen (knee), guard Chris Scott (foot), guard Amini Silatolu (knee) and running back Jonathan Stewart (hip).

(12/9/2014) Panthers linebacker A.J. Klein suffered a knee sprain during Sunday’s win at New Orleans, reports the team’s official website.

Despite the injury, Panthers coach Ron Rivera said the team will see how Klein feels Wednesday morning before making a decision on his playing status.

The Panthers host the Buccaneers Sunday.


Greg Hardy, A.J. Klein each deliver sack

(12/1/2013) Panthers defensive lineman Greg Hardy and linebacker A.J. Klein both contributed a sack Week 13 against the Buccaneers. For Hardy, it was his seventh sack of the season. For Klein, it was just his second.

The sack was Hardy's only tackle on the day. Klein finished with three, all solo.

He had his first big game with five tackles and his first career sack, which came in the second quarter against Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The fifth-round pick added two TFLs and a quarterback hit.
