Patriots DT Sealver Siliga still in walking boot

(3/28/2015) Patriots defensive tackle Sealver Siliga is still in a walking boot after undergoing surgery last season, per ESPN.

Siliga is considered to be one of the top-two options at defensive tackle for the team after the departure of Vince Wilfork. The 24-year-old started five of the seven games he played in 2014. He recorded 32 total tackles and 2.5 sacks last season.

(1/30/2015) The Patriots will be at nearly full strength for Sunday’s Super Bowl as the following players have been listed as probable: Tom Brady (ankle), Dont’a Hightower (shoulder), Chris Jones (elbow), Akeem Ayers (knee), Darrelle Revis (non-injury-related) and Sealver Siliga (foot).

All except Brady were limited participants in practice Friday. The only question mark is center Bryan Stork, who is questionable with a knee injury and was limited in practice Friday.

The Patriots are currently 1-point favorites against Seattle.

(1/22/2015) Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (ankle) was the only full participant in Thursday's practice in preparation for the Super Bowl on Feb. 1 against the Seahawks, according to 710 AM ESPN Radio in Seattle.

Cornerback Brandon Browner (knee), linebacker Dont'a Hightower (shoulder), defensive tackle Chris Jones (elbow), wide receiver Brandon LaFell (shoulder, toe), defensive lineman Sealver Siliga (foot) and center Bryan Stork (knee) were all limited participants.

(1/21/2015) The Patriots released a hypothetical Wednesday practice report during the bye week, with center Bryan Stork being listed as a DNP due to a knee injury.

Quarterback Tom Brady also appeared on the report with an ankle injury but would have participated fully in practice.

Five players would have been limited if the Patriots would have held practice Wednesday, including wide receiver Brandon LaFell (shoulder, toe), defensive linemen Chris Jones (elbow) and Sealver Siliga (foot), linebacker Dont'a Hightower (shoulder) and cornerback Brandon Browner (knee).

New England is a 1-point favorite against Seattle in Super Bowl XLIX after opening as an underdog.

Siliga is dealing with a foot injury. He was initially ruled questionable to return due to the issue. Following halftime, Siliga came out on the field with teammates, and appeared ready to get back into the game. He was able to do so shortly after the start of the third quarter.

Siliga suffered a foot injury in Week 3 against the Raiders. He'll be sidelined at least eight weeks after being placed on the IR. Siliga started two of the team's first three games while recording eight tackles.

They are defensive lineman Michael Buchanan (ankle), linebacker Jamie Collins (thigh), cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (shoulder), running back Shane Vereen (shoulder) and offensive lineman Ryan Wendell (knee).

(8/6/2014) The hand injury suffered by Patriots defensive tackle Sealver Siliga is serious enough that he has been sent back to Boston for further testing, ESPN.com reports.

Siliga has been ruled out for Thursday's preseason opener, and he could be sidelined for longer, depending on how his tests go. He racked up three sacks in five games last season.
