Goldson, Foster among notable questionable for Buccaneers

(12/19/2014) The Buccaneers ruled running back Bobby Rainey (wrist) as probable for Sunday's game against the Packers. He was the only player on Tampa Bay's final injury report for Week 16 deemed probable.

Safety Major Wright (ribs) was ruled out. Meanwhile, the following players were deemed questionable: Cornerback Isaiah Frey (ankle), linebacker Mason Foster (Achilles), safety Dashon Goldson (shin), defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (hamstring), tackle Kevin Pamphile (ankle) and wide receiver Solomon Patton (foot).

Linebacker Mason Foster (Achilles), defensive tackle Gerald McCoy (knee), defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (hamstring), wide receiver Solomon Patton (foot), running back Bobby Rainey (ankle), tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (back) and safety Major Wright (ribs).

Meanwhile, the following players were ruled as probable for Sunday: Tackle Anthony Collins (elbow), linebacker Lavonte David (concussion) and tight end Brandon Myers (calf).

Major Wright, Evan Dietrich-Smith, Luke Stocker and Crezdon Butler are listed as probable. The Bucaneers take on the Lions Week 14.

Rainey injured his ankle in Week 13's loss to the Bengals and also missed practice on Wednesday. Seferian-Jenkins (back) and McDonald (hamstring) both missed Week 13. 

Lavonte David (hamstring) and Luke Stocker (concussion) both practiced

The Bucs take on the Lions in Week 14. 


Six questionable Buccaneers sidelined Sunday

(11/30/2014) Six of the seven Buccaneers designated as questionable for he Sunday game against the Bengals have been ruled out. They are linebacker Lavonte David (hamstring), center Evan Dietrich-Smith (illness), defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (hamstring) and tight ends Brandon Myers (calf), Luke Stocker (concussion) and Austin Seferian-Jenkins (back).

The lone exception is safety Major Wright (shoulder), who has been given the green light.

(11/28/2014) The Buccaneers listed 10 players on its final injury report for Sunday's contest against Cincinnati. Defensive end Da'Quan Bowers (knee), safety Dashon Goldson (illness) and running back Charles Sims (ankle) were the only three players deemed probable.

Meanwhile, the following seven players were labeled as questionable for Week 13: Linebacker Lavonte David (hamstring), center Evan Dietrich-Smith (illness), defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (hamstring), tight end Brandon Myers (calf), tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (back), tight end Luke Stocker (concussion) and safety Major Wright (shoulder).

(9/14/2014) Buccaneers defensive linemen Clinton McDonald and William Gholston each came away with a sack Week 2 against the Rams. McDonald sacked Austin Davis in the third quarter, while Gholston took down the quarterback in the fourth quarter. McDonald registered seven total tackles (six solo), with one sack and one tackle for loss. Gholston registered six total tackles (four solo), with one sack and one tackle for loss.

(3/11/2014) The Buccaneers will sign free agent defensive tackle Clinton McDonald to a four-year, $12 million deal, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. McDonald, 27, had 35 tackles, 5.5 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery for the Seahawks last season.

Seahawks D-linemen hunt down the QB

(10/18/2013) The Seahawks' depth along the defensive line allowed them to keep the pressure on throughout Week 7 against the Cardinals Thursday. All told, the Seahawks brought down Carson Palmer seven times, with eight players combining for sacks.

A pair of linebackers, Malcolm Smith and K.J. Wright combined for 1 1/2 sacks, while the rest came from the line. Tony McDaniel, Clinton McDonald, Michael Bennett, Chris Clemons and Cliff Avril each picked up a full sack, while Red Bryant combined for a half sack with Wright.
