News: Seattle on Wednesday announced the signing of restricted free agent Clinton McDonald. Seattle had tendered a one-year qualifying offer to McDonald, who chose to sign and return as Seattle's backup nose tackle.
Analysis: McDonald will be a backup for the Seahawks in the upcoming 2013 season. We doubt he's going to get enough tackles or sacks to warrant usage in Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: The Bengals have acquired CB Kelly Jennings from the Seahawks in exchange for DT Clinton McDonald, according to ESPN.
Analysis: Neither of these players were or are expected to be productive for Fantasy purposes. Keep them off of Fantasy rosters.
News: The Bengals signed the following players to its practice squad on Sunday: Chase Coffman, Otis Hudson, Clinton McDonald, Jeromy Miles, Rico Murray, Vincent Rey and Joe Tronzo.
Analysis: McDonald would need to come off the practice squad and join the 53-man roster before he has any value in Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: The Bengals signed the following players to Reserve/Futures contracts: WR Freddie Brown, DT Clinton McDonald, WR Maurice Purify and CB Antonio Smith.
Analysis: None of these players are expected to produce enough stats to warrant Fantasy use. Keep them off of rosters for now.
News: The Bengals signed DT Clinton McDonald of Memphis on Monday, one of the team's seventh-round selections in the 2009 draft. McDonald ranked third in Conference USA last season in sacks (seven) and was a starter for the East in the East-West Shrine Game. He played four seasons at Memphis, appearing in 48 games with 33 starts.
Analysis: He has minimal Fantasy value in IDP leagues and should not be drafted in any leagues this year.
