News: The Cleveland Browns have gained defensive lineman Ronnie Cameron on waivers from the Chicago Bears. Cleveland cut fullback Eddie Williams to add Cameron on Tuesday.
Analysis: Williams played in three games for Seattle and three more for the Browns last year, catching one pass for 17 yards and rushing twice from scrimmage. He had no Fantasy appeal and can continue to be left off rosters.
News: Browns TE Benjamin Watson, who suffered a third concussion Week 14, had his season come to an end Friday as he was placed on IR. Fullback Eddie Williams was promoted to the active roster to take Watson's roster spot.
Analysis: Williams played in a few games with the Seahawks this season, but he had just two rushes and one catch. He will mostly be on the field for his blocking prowess. Ignore Williams in Fantasy.
News: The Seahawks cut FB Eddie Williams on Tuesday. Williams had been playing with Michael Robinson dealing with an ankle injury.
Analysis: As a fullback, Williams was not in position to help Fantasy owners in any format. He should not be owned in any leagues at this time.
News: Seattle FB Eddie Williams, who was signed off Clevelands practice squad Tuesday, played in Sunday's game at Pittsburgh in Week 2. He had one catch for 17 yards on one target.
Analysis: Williams saw increased action with Michael Robinson (ankle) inactive, but Williams still has minimal Fantasy value. Ignore him in all leagues in Week 3 against Arizona.
News: The Seahawks signed FB Eddie Williams off Clevelands practice squad Tuesday and released TE Dominique Byrd.
Analysis: Williams, who played TE at the University of Idaho, was a seventh-round pick in 2009. His signing was necessitated by an ankle injury to Michael Robinson, the only FB on the roster. Williams will hardly touch the ball on offense, so ignore him in Fantasy.
News: According to the team's official websits, the Bears waived 14 players Friday, including guard Johan Asiata, fullback Eddie Williams, wide receivers Andy Fantuz and Onrea Jones, and linebacker Chris Johnson. The group also included nine undrafted rookies: Linebackers Tressor Baptiste and Deron Minor, cornerbacks Antareis Bryan and Ryan Jones, tackle Josh Davis, punter Spencer Lanning, defensive end Jake Laptad, center Alex Linnenkohl, and receiver Jimmy Young.
Analysis: The only player waived Friday who has played in a regular-season game for the Bears is Asiata, who appeared in the first two contests last year. None of the players listed have any chance at Fantasy appeal this season. Continue to ignore them.
News: The Bears signed the following players to Futures contracts: DB K.J. Gerard, LB Chris Johnson, LB Patrick Trahan and RB Eddie Williams.
Analysis: None of these players were or are expected to produce many stats in the first place. Keep them off of Fantasy rosters.
News:Eddie Williams has been added to the Bears' practice squad on Sunday. Williams was waived on Saturday.
Analysis: Williams was a very productive running back in college, primarily as a receiver as he caught 100 passes for 1,205 yards and 11 touchdowns in four seasons at Idaho. He won't be productive this season. Ignore him in Fantasy.
News: Fullback Eddie Williams has signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears. Drafted in the seventh round by Washington last year, he spent most of the season on the Redskins' practice squad before being elevated to the active roster Nov. 2. He was inactive for three games before being placed on injured reserve with a broken leg in late November.
Analysis: Williams was a very productive running back in college, primarily as a receiver as he caught 100 passes for 1,205 yards and 11 touchdowns in four seasons at Idaho. He fits what the Bears look for at fullback, but it won't mean a ton of stats. Keep him off of Fantasy rosters.
News: The Redskins have listed the following players inactive for Week 13 against the Saints: DB Justin Tryon, DB DeAngelo Hall, RB Clinton Portis, RB Eddie Williams, LB Alvin Bowen, DL Renaldo Wynn and 3rd QB Richard Bartel.
Analysis: This is beginning to look very serious for Portis. The Redskins' schedule to end the season is tough except for a Week 14 game at Oakland -- but that's next week. If Portis isn't cleared soon, he won't be worth holding on to in Fantasy play. Hall has some minor Fantasy value in IDP leagues. The rest of the names listed above should be kept on waivers in all Fantasy formats.
News: The Redskins placed fullback Eddie Williams (fibula) on injured reserve. He won't play again this season.
Analysis: Williams wasn't expected to produce enough stats on a regular basis to be useful in Fantasy in the first place. Keep him off rosters.
News: Washington has listed the following players as inactive for Week 11 at Dallas: DB Kevin Barnes, RB Clinton Portis, TE Chris Cooley, RB Eddie Williams, LB Robert Henson, DL Albert Haynesworth and DL Renaldo Wynn.
Analysis: Only Cooley, Portis and Haynesworth among the players above have any Fantasy value, when healthy. Haynesworth should be back by Week 12 and is a solid Fantasy IDP player most weeks. Portis and Cooley will miss extended time, if not the season. Cooley is most likely out for the year and Portis could return but likely not anytime soon. It is up to you whether you want to reserve or cut bait at this point. None of these players should be active in Week 10 against Denver.
News: Washington RB Eddie Williams has been ruled out of the team's Week 11 game at Dallas with an ankle injury.
Analysis: Williams is not a relevant Fantasy player and can continue to be ignored in all formats.
News: Washington has listed the following players as inactive for Week 10 against Denver: CB Kevin Barnes, RB Clinton Portis, FB Eddie Williams, TE Chris Cooley, LB Robert Henson, DT Anthony Montgomery and DE Renaldo Wynn.
Analysis: Only Cooley and Portis among the players above have any Fantasy value, when healthy. Both players could missed extended time, if not the season. Cooley is most likely out for the year and Portis could return but likely not anytime soon. It is up to you whether you want to reserve or cut bait at this point. None of these players should be active in Week 10 against Denver.
News: Washington has listed the following players as inactive at Atlanta in Week 9: DB Kevin Barnes, DB Byron Westbrook, RB Eddie Williams, TE Chris Cooley, DL Anthony Montgomery and DL Renaldo Wynn.
Analysis: Only Cooley among the players above has any Fantasy value, when healthy. Cooley could be down for the year so keep him inactive from now until reports say something else. None of these players should be active in Week 9.
News: The Washington Redskins announced Sunday that they have signed the following players to their practice squad: S Lendy Holmes, DE Rob Jackson, WR Trent Shelton, DE J.D. Skolnitsky and FB Eddie Williams.
Analysis: None of these players are expected to see the playing field unless somebody ahead of them on the depth chart gets hurt. Leave them on waivers in all Fantasy leagues.
News: Washington RB Eddie Williams was able to play in the team's first preseason game on Thursday against the Ravens. He made one catch in the game for six yards.
Analysis: Williams is a low-end option with the Redskins if he ends up making the team and is not worth considering on Draft Day.
News: Redskins CB Carlos Rogers (calf), FB Eddie Williams (hamstring), DT Lorenzo Alexander (foot) and DT J.D. Skolnitsky (hamstring) missed practice Thursday.
Analysis: Rogers is the only player among the group that is a starter for the Redskins. He has low-end Fantasy appeal in IDP leagues. This injury is not considered serious. It's safe to ignore the three other players.
