(11/23/2014) The following players have been listed as inactive for the Broncos in Week 12 against the Dolphins: Montee Ball, Julius Thomas, Ronnie Hillman, Tony Carter, Chris Clark, Michael Schofield and Marvin Austin.

(11/16/2014) Only two injured Broncos have been ruled out for the game Sunday against St. Louis. They are running back Ronnie Hillman (foot) and tight end Virgil Green (knee), who had been deemed doubtful.

The healthy scratches are wide receiver Cody Latimer, cornerback Tony Carter, running back Kapri Bibbs, linebacker Todd Davis and offensive tackle Michael Schofield.


Broncos announce Week 7 inactives vs. 49ers

(10/19/2014) The Broncos have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's game against the 49ers: running back Montee Ball (groin), wide receiver Cody Latimer, cornerback Tony Carter, linebacker Shaquil Barrett, guard Ben Garland, tackle Michael Schofield and defensive tackle Mitch Unrein.

The Broncos are very healthy heading into Week 7, with Ball the only player on the active roster missing the game due to injury. All the team's players listed as probable on the final injury report are active, including running back Juwan Thompson (knee), linebacker Corey Nelson (hamstring), kicker Brandon McManus (groin) and defensive backs Omar Bolden (groin), David Bruton (ankle) and Chris Harris (knee).

The healthy scratches are wide receiver Cody Latimer, defensive back Tony Carter, offensive linemen Ben Garland and Michael Schofield and defensive lineman Mitch Unrein.

(9/14/2014) The Broncos have announced that the following players will be inactive for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Chiefs: safety David Bruton Jr., wide receivers Cody Latimer and Tony Carter, guard Ben Garland, offensive tackle Michael Schofield and linebacker Danny Trevathan.

Special teamer Bruton was questionable with a shoulder injury. Garland was doubtful with an ankle issue. Trevathan will miss a few more weeks while recovering from a broken ankle.


Tony Carter exits game with neck injury

(8/24/2014) Broncos defensive back Tony Carter left Saturday's preseason game against the Texans with a neck injury, per ESPN. He was involved in a collision with fellow defensive back Omar Bolden in the third quarter and was unable to return. He finished the game with two total tackles prior to the injury.

(4/22/2014) The Broncos announced the re-signing of restricted free agent defensive tackle Mitch Unrein and the re-signing of three exclusive rights free agents: cornerback Tony Carter, safety Duke Ihenacho and linebacker Brandon Marshall

Of the group, Ihenacho contributed the most in 2013, starting 14 games and totaling 72 tackles, most of any Broncos defensive back.

Champ Bailey, Tony Carter exposed in Super Bowl

(2/3/2014) With cornerback Chris Harris sidelined by a torn ACL, Broncos corners Champ Bailey and Tony Carter got exposed in the Super Bowl. Carter gave up a perfect 158.3 passer rating on passes thrown to his coverage area, while Bailey yielded a 115.6 rating, according to Pro Football Focus.

Carter also was called for pass interference in the end zone, leading to a Seattle touchdown. Only corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie held up, allowing a 72.9 rating.


Broncos' probables suit up for Super Bowl

(1/29/2014) Broncos reserve cornerback Tony Carter could play a positive role in the Super Bowl on Sunday, according to wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert.

"He, in the back of my mind, is the guy that no one is talking about that could step up and make a play," Tolbert said.

Tolbert said he likes what he has seen of Carter, who played in more than half the snaps in the AFC title game win against New England.

"I see him in practice every day," Tolbert added. "I see how he is fast, he's quick, he has good change of direction. He makes plays in practice a lot, so he could be a guy who could step up."

Among those players expected to take the field in spit of their injuries are defensive backs Omar Bolden (shoulder), David Bruton (neck) and Tony Carter (ankle), all of whom were able to get through Friday's practice without issue.
