Newman is the only player on the list who was on the injury report. He was doubtful due to a knee injury. The other six players are healthy scratches.

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/27/2013) Chiefs quarterback Tyler Bray, tight end Kevin Brock, safety Bradley McDougald, linebacker Dezman Moses (toe), center Eric Kush, guard Rishaw Johnson and defensive lineman Jaye Howard were among the team's inactives Week 8 vs. Cleveland.

Chiefs in good shape for Sunday

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/20/2013) Despite a lengthy injury list, the Chiefs are healthy heading into Week 7. Only two non-starters are among the injured inactives. They are tight end Kevin Brock (shoulder) and linebacker Dezman Moses (toe).

The healthy inactives are defensive tackle Jaye Howard, quarterback Tyler Bray, safety Bradley McDougald, offensive lineman Eric Kush and guard Rishaw Johnson.

Chiefs injured mostly probable for Week 7

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/18/2013) The length of the injury list posted Friday by the Chiefs does not signify a battered team. All but two of the 14 players on it are probable for Sunday against Houston.

Among its offensive players are linemen Branden Albert (knee, elbow), Jeff Allen (groin/hand) and Jon Asamoah (knee), tight ends Kevin Brock (shoulder) and Anthony Fasano (ankle/knee), wide receiver Donnie Avery (shoulder) and running back Anthony Sherman (knee).

The defensive players listed as probable are cornerback Brandon Flowers (ankle), linebacker Dezman Moses (knee) and tackle Dontari Poe (ankle). Punter Dustin Colquitt (knee) is also probable.

Chiefs tight ends do little Sunday

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(10/13/2013) Chiefs tight ends Kevin Brock and Sean McGrath were not major weapons used by quarterback Alex Smith during Sunday's Week 6 home game against Oakland.

Brock finished the game with one reception for 9 yards on his only target. McGrath, the starter, did not make a catch and was targeted three times in the game.

The Chiefs get set to play at home against Houston Week 7 and the tight end remains a position under-utilized by the team's offense.

Chiefs get minor contributions from four players Week 4

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/29/2013) Chiefs wide receiver Dexter McCluster, tight end Kevin Brock, fullback Anthony Sherman and backup running back Knile Davis all made minor contributions on offense during a 31-7 win Week 4 vs. N.Y. Giants.

McCluster finished with five catches for 48 yards, Brock had two catches for 27 yards, Sherman had one catch for 6 yards and Davis had one carry for 2 yards.

Chiefs' tight end situation a mess

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/18/2013) Chiefs tight end Anthony Fasano (ankle) did not practice Wednesday and was listed as doubtful for Thursday's game (Week 3) at Philadelphia. Backup tight end Travis Kelce (knee) was limited in practice and listed as questionable, so the Chiefs are down to Sean McGrath and Kevin Brock as the only healthy tight ends.
