News: The Rams waived tight end Demarco Cosby, defensive tackle John Henderson, cornerbacks Nate Ness and Chris Smith and running back Quinn Porter.
Analysis: None of these players were or are expected to be Fantasy relevant. Leave them off of rosters.
News: The Rams have placed RB Brit Miller (knee) on injured reserve, a move coach Steve Spagnuolo alluded to on Tuesday. To fill Millers roster spot, the team re-signed DB Nate Ness, who was released on Dec. 6.
Analysis: Ness will likely provide nothing more than secondary depth for the Rams going forward so continue to ignore him in all Fantasy IDP formats.
News: The Rams waived DB Nate Ness on Tuesday and added QB Matt Gutierrez to the practice squad. Ness did not play in last week's loss to the 49ers due to an ankle injury.
Analysis: Ness only racked up two tackles in his time with the Rams this season and is now looking for work. Owners can continue to ignore the 25-year-old in all formats at this point in the season.
News: Rams DB Nate Ness suffered an ankle injury in the Week 12 game against the Cardinals. Ness did not record a tackle in the game and was used mostly on special teams.
Analysis: Ness was recently added to the roster by the Rams. He has no Fantasy value at this time as a special teams player.
News: The Rams promoted CB Nate Ness from the practice squad on Tuesday to replace CB Al Harris on the active roster. Harris is out for the season after tearing his right ACL in Sunday's win over Cleveland.
Analysis: Ness has played in four games in his career and has seven tackles. He is obviously someone to avoid in Fantasy at this point.
News: The Dolphins picked up DB Nate Ness off waivers from the Seahawks on Thursday.
Analysis: With DB Yeremiah Bell (toe) banged up, Ness will provide some extra depth for the Dolphins in their secondary on Sunday at Baltimore. Ness won't see enough of the field to be worth adding in IDP Fantasy play, however.
News: The Seahawks released DB Nate Ness on Tuesday.
Analysis: Ness played in Week 8 against the Raiders and recorded five tackles before leaving with leg cramps. He was merely roster depth for the Seahawks and can be ignored in Fantasy.
News: Seahawks CB Nate Ness, who is starting because two other corners are injured, is out of the game with cramps. His return is probable.
Analysis: We'll keep you posted on the latest edition to the Seahawks depleted secondary.
News: Seattle has claimed DB Nate Ness off waivers. Ness was waived by the Dolphins.
Analysis: Ness should not have much impact on the Seattle defense this season. He has no value in IDP leagues.
News: The Dolphins signed the following players to Reserve/Futures contracts: RB Tristan Davis, WR Ryan Guice-Mullen, WR Taurus Johnson, DE Brian Johnston, TE John Nalbone, DB Nate Ness and WR Julius Pruit.
Analysis: None of these players are expected to produce enough stats to warrant Fantasy use. Keep them off of rosters for now.
News: Linebacker Matt Roth was released Tuesday by the Miami Dolphins, a move that came a week after coach Tony Sparano lauded his work off the bench. The Dolphins also signed cornerback Evan Oglesby and defensive end Ikeaika Alama-Francis. Defensive tackle Jason Ferguson was placed on injured reserve with a season-ending leg injury, and safety Nate Ness was released. Ferguson was injured in last week's win over Carolina.
Analysis: Roth missed training camp and the season's first five games with a groin injury, then compiled four tackles in Miami's last four games. Still, Sparano said Roth was "really impressive" in a 25-23 win over Tampa Bay on Nov. 15. Roth had his best season last year, moving from end to linebacker. He since lost his starting role to Jason Taylor. Oglesby has spent time with Baltimore and Dallas. Alma-Francis was a second-round pick by Detroit in 2007. None of the players listed above has any Fantasy value at this time. Keep them off rosters.
News: Miami TE Anthony Fasano, DL Erik Walden, DL Lionel Dotson, DL Paul Soliai, DB Nate Ness and QB Tyler Thigpen have all been listed as inactive for the team's Week 11 game against the Panthers.
Analysis: Fasano has fallen out of favor with Fantasy owners and isn't worth owning going forward. The rest of these players have little to no Fantasy value.
News: The Jets have waived linebacker Craig Kobel, safety Nate Ness, quarterback Chris Pizzotti and wide receiver Huey Whittaker. Kobel played in the Arena Football League last year. Ness was an undrafted free agent who had 107 tackles and seven interceptions in two seasons as a starter at Arizona. Pizzotti was an undrafted free agent who was a two-time All-Ivy League quarterback at Harvard. Whittaker spent parts of the last three seasons in the AFL.
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy value.
