Lions getting healthy Week 8

(10/27/2013) The Detroit Lions listed several players as probable for the Week 8 game against Dallas Sunday. All of those players are active for the contest. They are as follows: DB Louis Delmas (knee); DL Andre Fluellen (concussion); DB Rashean Mathis (groin); LB Ashlee Palmer (ankle); and RB Theo Riddick (concussion). All are active against the Cowboys. 

Long Lions injury report has mostly probables

(10/25/2013) Nearly all the players listed on the Friday injury report for the Lions are probable. The most prominent are wide receiver Calvin Johnson, running back Reggie Bush and safety Louis Delmas with knee injuries and cornerback Rashean Mathis (groin).

Others are linebacker Ashlee Palmer (ankle), tight end Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring), defensive lineman Andre Fluellen (concussion) and running back Theo Riddick (concussion).

As expected, wide receiver Nate Burleson (forearm) and tackle Corey Hilliard (knee) have been ruled out. Offensive linemen Jason Fox (knee) and Riley Reiff (hamstring) are questionable.

(10/25/2013) The Lions are in tip-top shape defensively heading into Week 8. Several players are on their Friday injury report, but all are probable.

They are safety Louis Delmas (knee), cornerback Rashean Mathis (groin), linebacker Ashlee Palmer (ankle), and tackle Andre Fluellen (ankle).

(10/18/2013) Lions S Louis Delmas, CB Rashean Mathis and LB Ashlee Palmer are listed as probable Week 7 against the Bengals.

Palmer participated in limited practice Friday after not practicing earlier in the week. Mathis was limited in practice all week. Delmas sat out Friday, but that was a normal day of rest for his knee. Delmas was able to participate on a limited basis Thursday.

Quin was the only player able to practice in full Friday. Palmer and Houston were limited during practice, while Delmas actually sat out Friday.


Lions defense in good health Sunday

(10/6/2013) The Lions are largely healthy on defense in Week 5 against the Packers, as a number of injured players were able to take the field Sunday.

Among players listed on the injury report on the defensive side of the ball, all seven players were able to take the field. They include: defensive linemen Ezekiel Ansah (abdomen) and Israel Idonije (hamstring); defensive backs Louis Delmas (knee), Chris Houston (hamstring), Rashean Mathis (head) and Glover Quin (ankle); and linebacker Ashlee Palmer (ankle).

(10/4/2013) Lions LB Ashlee Palmer, WR Pat Edwards and T Jason Fox are probable Week 5 against the Packers.

Palmer was limited in practice Friday with an ankle injury. Both Edwards and Fox were able to fully participate throughout the week.
