Humber tallies sack

News: Saints LB Ramon Humber recorded his first sack of the season on Sunday night against the Lions. He finished the contest with three solo tackles.
Analysis: Humber hasn't done much in his nine games this season. He has just 10 tackles to his credit. Fantasy owners should not be starting Humber in any IDP leagues, despite his first sack of the year.

Humber signed by Saints

News: The Saints signed T Pat McQuistan and LB Ramon Humber on Wednesday. Both were signed as the Saints lost T Zach Strief and LBs Martez Wilson and Will Herring to injuries during the Week 3 win vs. the Texans.
Analysis: McQuistan started eight games last season in Miami, while the Saints cut Humber a couple of weeks ago. He has no Fantasy appeal.

Humber resigned by Saints

News: The Saints resigned LB Ramon Humber on Tuesday. Humber was released by the team near the end of training camp.
Analysis: Humber was signed to provide some depth at LB, as the Saints are a bit banged up at that position. Still, he most likely won't stat enough to warrant being picked up in most formats, so continue to ignore him moving forward.

Humber let go for new TE

News: The Saints announced on Monday that the signed free agent TE John Gilmore, releasing LB Ramon Humber to make room for him. Humber played in five games last season and recorded four tackles.
Analysis: Humber was strictly a special teams player for New Orleans, and he figures to latch on elsewhere and do the same soon. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on where he lands, though he is not worth picking up in any format.

Saints bring Humber aboard

News: The Saints signed second-year LB Ramon Humber on Wednesday.
Analysis: Humber played in all 16 games on special teams last season for Indianapolis before being cut in late September of this year after fracturing his hand. As he won't see much of the field on defense for New Orleans, Humber can continue to be ignored in IDP Fantasy play.

Humber cut by Colts

News: The Colts have cut LB Ramon Humber. Humber had surgery to repair his fractured hand on Tuesday. He was replaced on the active roster by Blair White.
Analysis: Humber has played primarily on special teams during his two seasons in Indianapolis. He assisted on one special teams tackle last weekend against the Giants and can be ignored in Fantasy while he is not on a team.

Humber does well in start Week 16

News: Colts LB Ramon Humber started at weakside linebacker in Week 16 against the Jets with Clint Session out of action due to a knee injury. Humber responded with a team-high eight solo and nine total tackles.
Analysis: Humber had all of 16 tackles in his first 14 games, so it goes to show you how much he plays with Session in action. The Colts don't have a lot to play for in Week 17, so Humber might start again for Session. He is merely a stopgap Fantasy LB.

LB Hagler done for 2009

News: The Colts have lost starting linebacker Tyjuan Hagler for the rest of the season with a ruptured biceps. Coach Jim Caldwell said Hagler was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Second-year linebacker Philip Wheeler and undrafted rookie Ramon Humber are expected to replace Hagler. Indy also will promote rookie linebacker Cody Glenn to the active roster from the practice squad.
Analysis: Of these names, the only decent Fantasy option might be Wheeler, who would only be useful as a low-end linebacker in the deepest of IDP leagues. Keep the rest of the linebackers off of rosters.
