News: The Ravens released tight end Davon Drew, wide receiver Devin Goda, cornerback Jordan Mabin, quarterback Chester Stewart and wide receiver Pat Williams Sunday.
Analysis: None of these players were expected to make a significant impact and had no Fantasy appeal. Leave them off rosters.
News: The Seahawks re-signed receivers Chris Carter and Pat Williams on Wednesday, according to the Seattle Times. Both had been cut on Monday.
Analysis: The receivers were added as a result of injuries on the roster. Basically, they need bodies heading into the final preseason game. Do not expect either player to make the final roster or make an impact in Fantasy this season.
News: The Seahawks tried to get closer to their final 53 players on Monday by cutting eight players. Among the casualties were receivers Pat Williams, Brandon Smith and Chris Carter, cornerback Jesse Hoffman, linebacker Neal Howey, guard Zach Hurd, fullback Ryan Travis and defensive tackle Teryl White.
Analysis: None of the players were expected to provide the team with anything but depth had they made the 53-man roster. Now that they have not, none of the options should be considered in Fantasy play.
News: Seattle released defensive end James Wyche and wide receiver Antonio Robinson from the practice squad on Tuesday and added wide receiver Patrick Williams.
Analysis: Williams is nothing more than roster depth for the Seahawks and can be ignored in Fantasy.
News: Packers WR Patrick Williams, DB Derrick Martin, RB Korey Hall, DB Trevor Ford, LB Brandon Chillar, DL Ryan Pickett and DL Mike Montgomery have all been ruled inactive for Week 17 at Arizona.
Analysis: Pickett is the only starter among the inactives, but his Fantasy appeal is limited since he is not a stat machine. He is far more important to his real team than Fantasy owners. Most of these players are reserves and have little to no Fantasy appeal. They are likely to keep the same Fantasy value heading into Draft Day 2010.
News: Green Bay WR Patrick Williams, RB John Kuhn, DB Trevor Ford, DB Matt Giordano, DL Ryan Pickett and DL Jeremy Thompson have all been listed as inactive for the team's Week 16 game against the Seahawks.
Analysis: None of these players do enough statistically to have significant Fantasy appeal. Leave them all on waivers.
