Falcons list Week 1 inactives

(9/7/2014) The Falcons' list of inactives for Week 1 against the Saints includes defensive lineman Corey Peters (Achilles), quarterback Sean Renfree, defensive back Javier Arenas, linebacker Nate Stupar, offensive lineman Ryan Schraeder, offensive lineman James Stone and linebacker Tyler Starr.

Renfree, Arenas, Stupar, Schraeder, Stone and Starr are all healthy scratches.


Jaguars make flurry of cuts Saturday

Tialavea, LB Marcus Whitfield, WR Kerry Taylor, S Sherrod Martin, LB Nate Stupar and CB Jamell Fleming.

The offensive players among them are tight end Marcedes Lewis (thigh) and guard Austin Pasztor (shoulder). 

The defenders are cornerback Alan Ball (shoulder), safeties Josh Evans (shoulder) and Johnathan Cyprien (thigh) and linebackers Paul Posluszny (groin) and Nate Stupar (neck).

Of those six, five are active and in uniform for Thursday's game, after being listed on the injury report as probable. They are: Defensive linemen Andre Branch (knee) and Roy Miller (shoulder; linebackers Geno Hayes (knee) and Nate Stupar (chest); and defensive back Mike Harris (hip).
