Dolphins help secondary with Taylor

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/26/2013) With their second-round pick (54th overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Dolphins selected cornerback Jamar Taylor out of Boise State. Often overshadowed by Dee Milliner, Xavier Rhodes and Desmond Trufant in the weeks and months leading up to the draft, Taylor made a late push as a legit first-round prospect. The cornerback class is among the deepest of any position in 2013, and Taylor fills an immediate need for the Dolphins, who lost Sean Smith from last season. At 5 feet 11, 192 pounds, Taylor is solid against the run, and his 4.37 40-time assuaged any concerns that he lacked deep speed. Taylor is one of the more enjoyable defenders to watch on tape; he's every bit as impressive in zone, press and off-man coverage, as well as in run support.
