Dolphins announce inactives for Week 16 vs. Vikings

(12/21/2014) The Dolphins listed the following players as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Vikings: Rishard Matthews, Daniel Thomas, Don Jones, Chris McCain, Dallas Thomas, Nate Garner and Matt Hazel.

Tight end Charles Clay (hamstring) was listed as probable and is active. Linebacker Jelani Jenkins (foot) and cornerback Jamar Taylor (shoulder) were listed as questionable, but are active.

The Dolphins are 4 1/2-point favorites.

(12/19/2014) The Dolphins released their final injury report for the Week 16 matchup against the Vikings and tight end Charles Clay (hamstring) is listed as probable.

The Dolphins listed Jelani Jenkins (foot), Don Jones (shoulder) and Jamar Taylor (shoulder) as questionable.

The Dolphins deemed offensive lineman Nate Garner (illness) out. Dallas Thomas (foot) and Daniel Thomas (knee) are listed as doubtful.

The following players are listed as probable: Koa Misi ,Chris McCainCortland FinneganJonathan Freeny and Jordie Tripp.

The Dolphins are 6 1/2-point favorites.


Dolphins' Charles Clay, Cortland Finnegan questionable for Sunday

(12/12/2014) Dolphins tight end Charles Clay and cornerback Cortland Finnegan have been officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Clay, who was a limited participant all week, returned to action for the first time in two weeks against the Ravens last week. 

Finnegan has missed the Dolphins' last four games with an ankle injury. Chris McCain and Jamar Taylor are also questionable.

Guard Nate Garner, who missed practiced all week with an illness, is out as well as defensive tackle Anthony Johnson

Jelani Jenkins, Koa Misi and Jonathan Freeney are all doubtful. Walt Aikens, Dion Jordan, Dion Sims and Jimmy Wilson are all probable. 


Dolphins eye impending return of injured cornerbacks

(12/8/2014) There is hope for a Dolphins secondary that has been decimated with injuries, even after starting free safety Louis Delmas is placed on season-ending IR, according to the Palm Beach Post, which is reporting that the team is hopeful cornerbacks Cortland Finnegan and Jamar Taylor will play next Sunday in New England.

Finnegan has been sidelined for four games with an ankle injury while Taylor has been out the last two with a dislocated shoulder.

Guard Nate Garner (illness), cornerback Cortland Finnegan (ankle) and linebacker Chris McCain (ankle) were deemed doubtful for Week 14.

Tight end Charles Clay (hamstring, knee) was the only player on the report deemed questionable. He was a limited participant all week leading up to Sunday.

Meanwhile, the following players were labeled as probable: Wide receiver Brian Hartline (knee), tackle Ja'Wuan James (neck), linebacker Jelani Jenkins (shoulder), center Samson Satele (ribs), wide receiver Mike Wallace (chest) and safety Jimmy Wilson (hamstring).

Jonathan Freeny (hamstring) and Jamar Taylor (shoulder) have been declared out for Monday’s game at the New York Jets.

Tight end Charles Clay (hamstring/knee), cornerback Cortland Finnegan (ankle) and offensive lineman Nate Garner (illness) are listed as doubtful.

Offensive lineman Ja’Wuan James (neck) was the one player listed as questionable and Daryn Colledge, Rishard Matthews, Lamar Miller, Samson Satele and Mike Wallace are probable for Week 13.

Report: Dolphins' Jamar Taylor not expected to be placed on IR

(11/24/2014) After suffering a shoulder injury against Denver Sunday, Dolphins cornerback Jamar Taylor is not expected to be placed on injured reserve, reports the Palm Beach Post.

Taylor had to be helped off the field with a left shoulder injury and did not return to the game.

An MRI revealed Taylor separated his shoulder, but it was not dislocated. By not placing him on IR, the Dolphins are hoping he can eventually return, but his status for Week 13 against the Jets has not been revealed.

The Dolphins cannot afford to lose another cornerback as Taylor was replacing cornerback Cortland Finnegan who was inactive with an ankle injury.

(11/23/2014) Dolphins cornerback Jamar Taylor had to be helped off the field with a left shoulder injury during Week 12 against the Broncos. He will not return to the game.

Taylor was replacing cornerback Cortland Finnegan who was inactive with an ankle injury.

(9/7/2014) The Dolphins enter Week 1 against the Patriots without much in the way of injury concerns, as four players from the defensive side of the ball were able to play through their issues Sunday.

Defensive backs Walt Aikens (hand) and Jamar Taylor (hip) are active for Sunday's game, along with linebackers Koa Misi (shoulder) and Chris McCain (hip). All four were listed as probable for the game.

Four players have been officially ruled out for the game. Defensive end Terrence Fede, center Mike Pouncey, linebacker Jordie Tripp and linebacker Philip Wheeler will not play against the Patriots. 

Guard Billy Turner is listed as doubtful due to a foot injury. 

The team also listed for players as probable. Safety Walt Aikens, cornerback Jamar Taylor and linebackers Chris McCain and Koa Misi should all see action Sunday.

(2/9/2014) The Dolphins remain high on second-year cornerback Jamar Tayor, reports the Miami Herald. Taylor, a second-round pick, played just 45 defensive snaps after a long recovery from sports hernia surgery.

"We're going to see better dividends from him in 2014," a Dolphins staffer told the paper. With corners Brent Grimes and Dimitri Patterson entering free agency, Miami needs Taylor to produce.

(12/27/2013) The Dolphins have placed 10 players on their Friday injury report, but only running back Daniel Thomas (ankle) is questionable for the critical battle against the Jets. The others are probable, including quarterback Ryan Tannehill (knee). The other offensive players are wide receivers Brian Hartline (knee) and Marlon Moore (wrist).

The defensive probables are defensive backs Jamar Taylor (hamstring), Don Jones (elbow/abdomen) and Chris Clemons (knee/hamstring), linebacker Koa Misi (triceps) and tackles Jared Odrick (wrist) and Paul Soliai (ankle).
