Ola played in the CFL the past two seasons, while the rest ended 2013 on Miami's practice squad.

Ryan Spadola receives promotion

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/31/2013) Wide receiver Ryan Spadola has been elevated from the practice squad to the live roster by the Dolphins. The team picked up Spadola three weeks ago after he had been released by the Jets.

Ryan Spadola signed to Dolphins practice squad

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(10/8/2013) The Dolphins have signed wide receiver Ryan Spadola, ESPN reports Tuesday.

Spadola originally reported the signing on his twitter account, but later took it down, the Miami Herald reports.

Spadola was cut by the Jets after playing in three games and not making a reception. He has been added to the Dolphins practice squad.

Jets make a few roster moves

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(10/5/2013) The Jets made a few roster moves Saturday, according to the team's official site. Wide receiver Michael Campbell was signed from the practice squad.

The Jets also released linebacker Ricky Sapp and wide receiver Ryan Spadola from the active roster.

Rex Ryan seeks to make sense of jumbled wide receiver situation

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/2/2013) Rex Ryan declined to confirm that wide receivers Stephen Hill (concussion) and Santonio Holmes (hamstring) are out for the Monday night game in Atlanta. Hill, however, will be sidelined for at least that game and Holmes longer, according to the New York Post.

Ryan did say that Jeremy Kerley and Clyde Gates were next up to start if Hill and Holmes are indeed out, Newsday is reporting. He also threw Ryan Spadola into the mix. Kerley and Gates have contributed strongly as backups this year with a combined 15 catches for 218 yards.

The Jets boast just four receiving touchdowns in 2013.

Jets inactives Week 3

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/22/2013) The Jets have made QB Brady Quinn, LB Ricky Sapp, OG William Campbell, OT Ben Ijalana, OT Oday Aboushi, WR Ryan Spadola and LB Scott Solomon inactive for Week 3 against the Bills.

Unlikely Jets receivers have big games

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(8/24/2013) The Jets were led by two unlikely receivers in the passing game in Saturday's preseason win over the Giants. Ryan Spadola led the way with three catches for 110 yards and Ben Obomanu had a big game with 56 yards and a touchdown.

Spadola, a 22-year-old rookie out of Lehigh, isn't even on the team's depth chart. He hauled in a 22-yard touchdown pass from Matt Simms in the fourth quarter and added a 70-yard catch in the game.

Obomanu, who will likely see more of the field this season for the Jets, hauled in a 22-yard touchdown pass from Geno Smith in the first quarter of the game. He finished with three catches for 56 yards.
