Bears make roster moves

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(6/3/2014) On Tuesday the Bears announced the signings of receivers Armanti Edwards and Micheal Spurlock while agreeing to an injury settlement with Domenik Hixon and waiving linebacker Tana Patrick

Edwards and Spurlock will likely compete for kick return duties with the Bears. Spurlock hasn't returned a kick for a touchdown since 2012 and has three in his eight-year career while Spurlock hasn't scored a touchdown in any way since entering the league in 2010.

Hixon tore his ACL in practice with the Bears last week and won't play football in 2014. Patrick, a former member of the Crimson Tide, was signed in May.

Several Browns contribute offensively to Sunday victory

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(11/3/2013) Minor contributions and one major one came from several Browns players Sunday. The major one was a 4-yard touchdown catch by tight end Gary Barnidge for his only reception. Running back Fozzy Whittaker showed some versatility by rushing for 11 yards on two carries and adding three catches for 13 yards.

Recently signed wideout Armanti Edwards  had a 10-yard catch while running back MarQueis Gray ran once for 1 yards. Backup quarterback Brandon Weeden entered when Jason Campbell was briefly removed with a rib injury and managed to complete one pass for minus-2 yards.

Armanti Edwards to see more playing time Week 2

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/12/2013) Panthers wide receiver Armanti Edwards was on the field for just one play Week 1 against the Seahawks because coach Ron Rivera indicated he wanted to make sure Edwards was fully healthy after missing some time in the preseason with a hamstring injury, per ESPN. However, his playing time is expected to increase Week 2 against the Bills.

Rivera said Edwards will be a bigger part of the game plan and should see about 15-20 snaps Sunday.

Domenik Hixon on roster bubble?

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/28/2013) Domenik Hixon has gone from the Panthers' most likely No. 3 receiver to the roster bubble, reports ESPN.com. Hixon, who had been out with a hamstring injury, will play Thursday against the Steelers in the preseason finale.

"So this could be Hixon's coming out party -- or sendoff," the report said.

In Hixon's absence, the competition for the No. 3 spot was between Armanti Edwards and David Gettis, "with return specialist Ted Ginn Jr. figuring in the mix," according to the report.

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(8/2/2013) Panthers coach Ron Rivera said receiver Armanti Edwards has a chance to be the No. 3 receiver this season, reports the Charlotte Observer.

Panthers could hang on to Armanti Edwards

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(6/19/2013) Fourth-year receiver Armanti Edwards has been a pleasant surprise through the offseason. At the Panthers' recent minicamp he ran fluidly through his routes and caught the ball well in traffic, making strides from where he was previously in his career. Though the team has added Joe Adams and Ted Ginn over the last two seasons, the Charlotte Observer believes Edwards should land a roster spot out of training camp.

For Edwards, it was his only catch and only target of the game.
